I moved to California 4 years ago. I was so excited to come check out this local spot that used to be a crowd favorite (brother's pizza) back in the day. The staff used to be so welcoming -- it felt strange and it was a total bummer to come back to a local spot that's far less friendly now. Still giving it a 4 star because they made a solid pie.

Always good. Great Greek Pizza but try the grilled chicken sub with lettuce and mayo and a side of Greek dressing... you won't be sorry

Fabulous customer service and great food! 10/10. Not sure how this place has anything below a 5 star. Not to mention the great prices.

So I get a large Chip's Tip sub and a few pastries for snacks. The bill was steep for what I got but I thought it would be worth it for my son to try the sub. After getting it, we split the sub and ate it in the car. Let me tell you that this was not the same steak tip I remembered. It was so bad, we tossed it in the garbage at the gas station next door. The steak was very tough and hard to chew - almost like the tips had been cooked earlier and then reheated for my order. Everything just seemed greasy. We also did not enjoy the raspberry turnover or yellow cream cannoli's we got for dessert. Maybe it was us or maybe it was the food but I will never go there again. We are not food snobs by any stretch of the imagination, and I rarely will say anything bad about a restaurant experience but we ended up going to Augusta's which is just a little bit down the road, for chicken just to erase this experience from our mouths. I know a lot of people will swear by their steak tip subs and that is great but it's just not for me anymore.

One of their…read morecompetitors, Pizza Mia, used to be located across the street, but sometime around 2006 they merged and Pizza Mia moved into Uptown Deli's space. Although I initially didn't like it, I now think this move was for the better. Uptown Deli / Pizza Mia is your average hometown sub / pizza shop, but the food is almost always above average. Once Pizza Mia moved in, the overall quality and consistency of the food has increased, and the service is more reliable. (We eat there on average 4 times a week, and rarely if ever have any incorrect orders when we phone in.) Their deli is absolutely top-notch, with fresh ingredients and well-made sandwiches. Buffalo chicken pizza is one of our favorites, although it sometimes seems like it could use more buffalo sauce. Actually, every buffalo chicken dish there is amazing and very addictive... the pizza, buffalo chicken tenders, buffalo chicken on wraps, etc. Other standouts include the grilled chicken salads and grilled chicken in syrian pockets (you get an EPIC amount of grilled chicken; we refer to it as the two-day salad or the two-day sandwich.) Try a grilled chicken pocket with feta and greek dressing... not on the menu, but they'll make it for you. In addition to the deli items and pizza, they also have homemade daily hot specials, such as American Chop Suey, pasta dishes, etc. These usually come with fries or rice and salad, and are very good. Skip the "signature deli sandwiches" with names like "Big Apple", "New Yorker", etc... these corned-beef based sandwiches are a good idea, but the meat is served cold and that kinda grosses me out. This place really caters to the blue collar workers that you will see there everyday . . . garbage men, police officers, construction workers, townies, etc, and so portions are large, and a tad on the expensive side. (But worth it for what you get.) Don't be afraid if you see a long line... it moves quickly, and is almost always worth the wait.
