I called Nick to fix our clogged sinks. He was prompt and courteous. However after some attempts to fix (including an attempt to flush from the rooftop) he was unable to fix the problem. Apparently, the pipes could not be snaked without making a hole in the wall to access the pipes, which would cost an additional $625. I went in for a second opinion and they fixed the issue in 30min with a month's warranty. Perhaps it was due to the lack of the proper equipment Nick was not able to operate the snake. So after almost 20 years since I last redid my bathroom, the sink faucet was showing it's wear and wouldn't shut tight, thus a leaky faucet. Totally inevitable. I can do some handyman work around the house, but when it comes to plumbing, I try and not push my luck. There's definitely a discipline to it, as everything has to be flush and exact. Or else more leaks. Since this was a smaller job, that really wasn't an emergency, I didn't want to hire a big time plumbing company. Looked on Yelp and found this local tradesman who spent some time working in construction, but decided to just be on his own. Totally respectable. I gave it a whirl and was satisfied with the work rendered. Started with a few texts along with some pictures of the existing faucet. I got an estimate, agreed and it took about another 5 days for actual work. As it turns out it cost almost the same to just replace the whole faucet set, as it is to replace just the worn out piece. Super typical. So I approved for him to already bring a new faucet with him, giving him my budget. If you are picky about the looks of your hardware, you may have to get more involved with him in picking out the style that works for you. Day of repair, we go to turn off the main under the sinks. Since all the hardware was pushing 20 years old without any handling, all the valves were stuck because of corrosion. This also is quite normal. I just should of been more prepared for it and asked about it, because we ended up having to replace the tubes and valves under the sink as well, which added another $100 to the estimate. It was due and I was just relieved that he had all that with him, versus making another appointment or going back to the store. Everything took about an hour, so quite efficient. He didn't chat until everything was over, which I totally appreciated. He worked very clean and organized. I've hired people in the past that were just nightmares to deal with, like mad attention deficit syndrome. But not Nick, he was focused and on track to finish a job. So not really any cheaper than a few other plumbers I also called, but I'm just glad that he was local, so he knew the plumbing that was built in our area. And the fact that he fixed the issue in one try, just has to be noted. I have his number in my phone now. Relieved to have this resource on my side. read more

Offered to come back tonight and Hydro cut for an additional $500. I do not recommend this company and I was totally disappointed and felt robbed. Nick turned out to be our 6th shot at figuring out what the heck was going on with our piping. The pipe kept overflowing and making messes all on our bottom floor. Within 10 minutes of me going online and asking for a quote, Nick got back to me (at 11:45 pm) letting me know when he was available to get back to me tomorrow. He then did at that time and was very prompt and available which was extremely satisfying since I wouldn't be able to use any water until he arrived. He later came and updated me throughout the job and showed me exactly what the inconsistencies were and what should normally be occurring. Long due for a review. Living in an old house with other roommates, I keep encountering issues left and right with plumbing. From toilets leaking to the water heater breaking, the past few months have been unbearably stressful for me. I was already scrunching the numbers in my head as I dreaded the idea of having to pay thousands of dollars to have to deal with repairs. My first few attempts at contacting plumbers around the area fell flat; most of them didn't respond, charged ridiculously exorbitant prices, or never even arrived.
