Ever the food came out quickly!!! The only reason it's four stars is the ambience. It's a little dirty, but that is ok because you know what you are walking into, a place covered in dollar bills and picnic tables in the front. Overall, pretty cool place. I recommend it. 4 Stars

Welcome to the Purple Parrot where dollars decorate the walls, roof and rafters!…read more Key West inspired bar just off the Rehoboth Beach. Plenty of tables, high tops and bar seating. Rock music mixed with happy conversations flow freely throughout the place making it an instant vibe. Wings on point. Juicy and flavorful and only a buck each on special. The cheese steak was a gamble. Being from Philly we know cheese steaks. Not bad for outside Philly steak, but the roll wasn't up for the challenge and the traditional cooper sharp is subbed out for cheddar and just doesn't offer the same cheese steak experience. The Cuban was quite tasty with juicy mojo pork and just the right ratios of pickle/mustard. Could have used a bit more cheese and like the steak. The roll was too soft. Properly pressed this sandwich would be great. Our service was acceptable and much as expected for a beach bar. No tax always a plus for DE - especially since VA charges a whopping 13.5%! The Parrot is perched among a row of delightful beach shops along Rehoboth Ave and well worth a stop when in town. A solid four stars with room to grow!

Having a great time! First time for this Jazz Fest but it is a nice lineup and venue. There are a…read morefew venues participating this year so there isn't a bad place to be! We have been to Rehoboth quite a few times and for this occasion; it is special! There are many food options nearby so there is something available for every taste. Too many to name here! The community and service options are all around and parking is available everywhere. The service staff are volunteers and many have done this a few times before so, be ready to feel welcome!

This was my first and definitely not my last time attending the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival. It's…read morea 4 day event that draws hundreds from in and around the area and features local and national jazz musicians. The concerts were held at different venues around the city (with pricing from $29 to $72). The three concerts that we chose were all held at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center and they were : Friday night -Al Jarreau with Marc Antoine and Steve Cole, Sat 4pm- Pieces of a Dream with Eric Roberaon and Sat 10:30pm- All Star Super Show w/ Brian Simpson, Boney James, Eugene Groove, Nick Colionne, Chuck Loeb, Nathan East and Eric Roberson. All of the shows were outstanding. Although Al Jarreau is getting old and can't quite hit the notes like he used to, it was an honor seeing this jazz legend. It was a weekend of pure jazz that any enthusiast would have thoroughly enjoyed. In addition to the concerts, there was jazz being performed by local artist in the various establishments on in and around Rehoboth occuring during the early afternoon until late in the evening. The local fire station hosted an afternoon jazz band that featured a young female saxophonist that could give the likes of Boney James and Kim Waters a run for their money. It was awesome! We couldn't come to the beach without actually going on the beach, so we strolled the boardwalk and walk out on the sand, taking in magnificent views of the Atlantic on such a wonderful, but brisk and sunny weekend. We also visited the local shops and came away with tasty nut brittle and souvenir shirts for $5 a pop! One thing to mention is that based on my observations, Rehoboth Beach is very animal friendly with folks walking their dogs along the streets and boardwalk and local merchants setting out water and treats! So check with the various hotels in the area for pet friendly rooms and bring your pooch along for the trip! We will be back for next year's festival indeed.

We wanted a bit of a fancy dinner to cap off our break weekend and this was supremely wonderful!…read more This space is somehow elegant, a bit pricy, ultra attentive service, and yet you feel like a relaxed family with your fellow diners giving recommendations and sharing ideas with zero aura of pretension. The seafood blends into everything and is the star but do not discount the details and sauces of each item to make it truly unique. There's zings and pows and delightfulness in addition to the huge pieces of scallop and salmon cake. The sense of richness is brought to every plate you don't want to stop eating. Do not sleep on their cocktail offerings! Strong drinks with strong mixed flavors- I got the silly blue drink with the blinking light inside and it was hilariously fun but also VERY tasty, tangy, and wonderful to drink alongside the food. I don't know how they manage to keep a cozy sense of special romance along with fun camaraderie but it's something unique to take notice and highly recommend to enjoy!

They were clearly preoccupied with the bar and lounge crowd which was big. The other problem - they placed us at a table which was, without warning, two seats away from the lounge. I love showtunes. But I don't want to have that loudly being sung in a fine dining restaurant from ten feet away. And in my personal opinion, not well.
