    Flounder was very good

Food was so fresh as I would expect being so close to the Atlantic Ocean. Our server was very good always checking on us and with refills. Gonna have to check this place out one more time before I leave. Only lost the star because he wanted to sit outside by the water, but it was too crowded. Didn't wanna wait. 45 minutes.

Amazing atmosphere, friendly fast service and the food was so good! I had the blackened shrimp tacos with coleslaw and it was excellent. The whole back patio is umbrella covered so very shades even in the July heat.

Saltwater Cowboys was highly recommend and it lived up to the hype! We arrived in the middle of a busy Saturday afternoon and waited for a bit, grabbed drinks and the outdoor bar and then were escorted to the rooftop! The rooftop is a great place to relax and enjoys drinks and delicious food! We had the absolute best service, great recommendations and of excellent views! Don't skip the trash can nachos....excellent presentation, delicious and tasty! We all enjoyed our drinks and food- specifically the deviled eggs, BBQ platter and the Creek Bowl!

Recently visited Saltwater Cowboys for lunch after work and finally had the chance to try their food after only stopping in previously for drinks. Their menu offers a wide variety of options, making it difficult to choose, but I ultimately decided on the grilled grouper sandwich with a side of coleslaw. The grouper was cooked perfectly--and served on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato and a lemon dill tartar sauce. The coleslaw paired nicely with the sandwich and made for a well-balanced meal. I also ordered a Tito's and soda, which complemented the meal well. Overall, it was a great first dining experience, and I look forward to returning to try more of the menu. Also, you can't ever complain about the beautiful views of Shem Creek - even saw some dolphins!

We went to Saltwater Cowboys so we could sit outside and have a sunset dinner, and the view did not disappoint. It is right on Shem Creek, which made it such a pretty spot, especially at sunset. They do not take reservations, so we waited about 30 minutes for a table, but I think it was honestly worth it for the view. For food, we got the chicken tacos and fries. The tacos were just okay, nothing to brag about, and the fries were decent. Not bad, but nothing super memorable. The service was great though. Even with how busy it was, everything came out really fast and everyone was super nice. Overall, I would say it is worth it for the views and the atmosphere, but the food was just okay.

Trash can nachos were AMAZING!! So delicious and the vibes are amazing sitting along the water. They also had live music playing! The cocktails were delicious and very tasty! So many options on the menu for both drinks and food. Will definitely be back!!!

Love a little dockside moment! It was very hot and very crowded but the service was fast, the food was flavorful and pretty, and the live reggae music was a vibe. Overall a great experience!

Went here for lunch on a beautiful Friday afternoon since I was on this side of town for a doctor appointment (James Island is my usual vibe). I realize this place doesn't get the greatest ratings, but I gotta say: my meal and experience as a whole was AWESOME! I sat at one of the outdoor bars overlooking the water. Absolutely gorgeous setting! The bartender, Talia, was superb! Really sweet girl from Boston (Red Sox fan...sorry you Yankee haters) who was quite engaging and always quick to respond to every request. I ended up getting the pick two fried seafood platter with flounder and oysters. Decided to get my vitamin D, so I ordered asparagus and collards. Everything was SPOT ON. Not the fanciest meal, admittedly, but everything was absolutely DELICIOUS! In summary, just a great experience overall. Thank you, Talia, for your outstanding service and know that I'll definitely be coming back. Maybe for a sunset next time!

Great service, cheap drinks, good food. 100% get the nachos and add chicken. The brisket was a bit too dry for my liking and the shrimp didn't taste the freshest; however everything else was great!

The setting and vibes of this place are immaculate. I ordered the pulled pork with sides of Mac and cheese and sweet potato fries, the meal was good but I expected more for the bbq. Service was exceptional and very friendly. The drinks were delicious and boozy. I would return.

A quick stop for lunch after being downtown Charleston. Got seated inside really quickly and the view of the waterfront was great! A large menu with plenty of options for seafood lovers and those allergic! I'm a big bowl person, and the Creek Bowl was right up my alley! Food came quick and was delicious!

I'm writing this before this food even digest. I have to tell you that I got the Shrimp and Grits and it was an emotional experience. The food was so good that I downloaded Zillow and looked at houses nearby. My entire party said the same about their food as well. The service was amazing and I constantly had water. Beautiful view of Shem Creek.

Saltwater Cowboys delivered a great Shem Creek experience especially for a group of 21 (yes, twenty-one) and the friendly staff handled it like pros. While we would've loved to snag outdoor seating, it was a colder night so we opted for indoors, which was still perfect considering quick access to the top floor which had a perfect view of the sunset along Shem Creek. Pro tip: Go early if you have a larger group. We intentionally arrived well before 6pm knowing (a) they don't take reservations and (b) a group our size could mean an extended wait even during a holiday weeknight. That decision paid off. Parking was easy and we were seated without an issue. Shoutout to the two staff members managing our tables, they were efficient, attentive, and somehow kept everything running smoothly. Even more impressive, our drinks and food came out quickly, which was a pleasant surprise given the size of our group. Most were in the mood for BBQ and it did not disappoint. The brisket, wings, and pulled pork were favorites and absolutely hit the spot. The only consistent note from the table was that the collard greens leaned a bit salty but honestly, that didn't stop me from almost cleaning my plate. The Cowboy Baked Beans were another standout side and paired perfectly with the meat platters. We chose Saltwater Cowboys specifically to catch a Shem Creek sunset. Add in the fact that the entire place (inside and out) was decked out for the holidays, and it made for a fun, cozy last night in Charleston.

Turning into this area, is seriously a hidden gem of Mt P. The scenery is beautiful, calm and homey. The building itself feels like you are walking onto someone's large porch of their fancy classic beach house. They are have views of the tennis courts, pool and other beautiful areas around it. Now the food, was awesome! I am very picky when it comes to fish, as I usually eat shrimp, crab, tilapia and that's it. But wow, it was refreshing to actually enjoy a different type of fish that wasn't slimy, or tasted fishy. The texture was just right and full of flavor. The hummus, oh yes tomato basil flavor perfectly complimented the fish. Seriously mouth watering. Now the bar, oh heavens yessss. I have no idea the name of the pink drink, but it was phenomenal! It wasn't weak, and wasn't to strong, which can be difficult when mixing with tequila. It was literally just right. Now onto entertainment, they have live music on top of live action tennis. Can it seriously get anymore southern. Love it! The performer was a 14 year old kid saving for college, but he was pretty dang good. Lastly, I loved the atmosphere as it was warm and welcoming. As the sun when down, they flipped on the twinkling lights above. Really made it feel like you where having a party on someone back porch. There's really no other way to do it when you're in Charleston! I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try, it's definitely a hidden gem.

The interior has humorous things…read moreon the wall, dollar bills signed and stapled to the bar, and a great vibe in a very clean environment. We had to try the Apple Pie shots since everyone seems to talk about them. This is way more complex than some apple flavor liquor. The ingredients take some prep work, and the result is something that literally tastes like apple pie. If they bottled this, I would definitely buy it. They have two specialty drinks, the Freshy and the Orange Crush, both of which are made with fresh squeezed juice squeezed right when you order. I had the Freshy which is orange or grapefruit juice with your favorite liquor. I chose grapefruit with vodka and even though I am not a huge fan of grapefruit the freshness and tartness of the drink made it quite enjoyable. My wife had the Orange Crush with Deep Eddy's O.J vodka, Triple Sec, Sprite and some of that fresh squeezed orange juice. It was nice and sweet which was good since we were ordering a lot of savory options. The Potato Skins arrived first and they were truly impressive. Good sized skins with the perfect amount of potato, not too thick or too dry and definitely homemade. They had mixed cheese, bacon and green onions served with sour cream also loaded with green onions. As far as all the potato skins I have had these were a standout. Next came the onion rings with an absolute massive serving for just eight dollars. You could tell they were homemade and served with a chili garlic sauce. The best part was the batter coating which was crispy yet didn't fall off when bent or bitten. They reheated nicely in the air fryer. Next, we tried the Toasted Raviolis which were filled with Italian sausage and served with a house made marinara. They were nice and crispy, but the true star was the marinara sauce which was thick and chunky with parmesan mixed all throughout. I wish they had more dishes that used this sauce as it was excellent. On the advice of some regulars, I tried the chicken fingers which were all breast meat, dill brined and hand battered. It was good advice since the chicken was juicy and tender with a flavorful coating. Sometimes it pays to ask. My wife ordered the thing they are known for their Philly Cheesesteak. She decided on double meat, and they were super generous to the point she looked at me and said, "I don't know how I am going to finish this!". This cheesesteak gets nominate for a lot of best of lists and I could see why. I liked that the cheese was mixed in with the meat and not just poured on top. She enjoyed it but said next time she will order it as is. This is a great place to hang out and relax and maybe catch a band or some bluegrass and enjoy a great meal!
