Tony and the staff at PRP were so accommodating that I honestly felt like I was back at my family's table at a Sunday dinner. The food was delicious, authentic, and large portions which is always important. I never leave with left overs but did so for almost every course. The only lack-of-left-over dish was the fra Diavlo calamari which was honestly the most tender calamari I've had in my 42 years on this planet. Tony came out to introduce himself unprompted and to see if we were enjoying the meal, only to then provide my boys with ice cream treats (a selection of their choice) along with added fun, kind, and genuine conversation about himself and the restaurant. For me, one of the best marks of quality is when you can look at the pasta and see the texture. You know that means your sauce is going to cover all that surface area, that will adhere brilliantly to your noods. The Cannookie (chocolate chip cookies sandwiching cannoli cream) was way more delicious than it had any right to be. I'm not going to ever have one again on principle because it sounds like a racial slur for Canadians, but that doesn't change the fact that it was outstanding.
