Our last visit was during the COVID-19 era. Everyone I saw (employees and customers) all had masks and were very respectful. The employees have always been very nice and helpful when I have visited. The shelves are always stocked and I have never experienced an issue with not getting exactly what I came for. This Walmart and the one in Richland, Wisconsin, are the 2 best Walmarts I have ever visited in regard to cleanliness, friendliness, and dependability. It is a 5 star Walmart, I just can't bring myself to give a Walmart 5 stars based on principle and previous experience with the corporation that owns Walmart (sorry Sturgeon Bay Walmart; it's not you, it's me).

I was wondering what was happening and I checked my order and they decide they're coming between 3 and 4. We'll guess what? They can go back and put the food away and bring it back tomorow. that is not the time I chose. I had to leave. if you don't have the people to deliver your groceries, why are you advertising that we can do such a thing and have it delivered and be able to pick our time as well. TL;DR: Excellent customer service, friendly, and followed through with my request, even a week after I had made it. A few weeks ago my father in-law messaged me asking to keep an eye open for New Belgium Oakspire beer. It's a limited release and he was a fan last year (which was a chore to find) and he wasn't to get some if I ran across any. I went to New Beligiums website and found that the nearest grocery store that carried it was Econofoods in Sturgeon Bay. Sturgeon Bay is a 2 hour drive from my home, but I like taking drives and it was autumn so I figured, screw it, I will take half a day off work and take a drive to get some beer for my in-law (and a 6 pack for myself). I called Econofoods asking if they had the beer. They took my number down and said they would check and call me back. The made good on this and called me in about 15 minutes, letting me know that they had the beer and that they would set however many I wanted aside for me to come and pick up. It was raining cats and dogs when I left, so my idea of a nice autumn drive went out the window. Even better, once I got into town my cars check engine light came on. I didn't think much of it, but almost immediately after getting onto bridge on 57 my car gave me a warning that my transmission was overheating. Yikes! I pulled over, found a mechanic, and got into a loner car and then headed over to Econofoods. They tons of the beer I was looking for, I loaded up the cart (completely forgetting that they had set aside beer for me) and headed home. A week later, about when I was going to return to pick up my car, I received a voice mail from Econofoods saying that they still had my beer up at the desk and asked me if I was going to be coming in to pick it up. A WEEK LATER. I felt like a total dick for leaving them hanging like that, but was taken back by the fact that not only had they held onto it for me, but that they took the time to call me back and leave me a message. Needless to say when I picked up my car I swung over to Econofoods, apologized for waiting so long to pick up my beer, and bought the 3 6 packs they set aside for me.

Our family has always said that if you can't get it at Bley's you don't really need it! Probably the most important thing about Bley's is it's owners, Wayne, Paula and now their daughter Angie Bley. They are the salt of the earth and they will do whatever they can to help you, above and beyond groceries. Second in importance are Wayne's skills as a butcher. The family also farms and Wayne butchers his own meat. It's outstanding! Wayne's brats are not to be missed! At the end of the summer we take home a freezer full of them. He also does a fresh ham cut that I've never seen anywhere else. Slow cooked with garlic it's a taste of heaven.

The ground beef, brats, italian sausage and filets are some of the best I've ever had and are cheaper than the mass produced crap that's sold at Jewel or Dominick's. Beef tenderloin/filets - $9.99/pound is insane. Comes stright from their farm to the store so you know exactly what you're getting. We bring a large coolerful of meat from here every trip up. Looking forward to going back up in a couple months so we can stock up again.
