Catfish was crispy and perfectly fried, jerk chicken had all the right seasonings and was moist and spicy, but not overly so. Sides were tasty, too, especially the rice and peas, you could taste all the time and coconut milk. Sooo good and it's nice to see the herbs used so well! Second time we had the oxtail ( huge pieces) and the fried chicken. The oxtail was rich and delicious. The fried chicken was also super crispy and very juicy, even the white meat! Again the rice and peas. Had those wonderful flavors and my husband who loves cabbage loved the stewed cabbaged. The mac and cheese was gooey goodness. The owner is absolutely delightful as were the two women who were working with her that day. It's a small family place, so be patient with service and you will be richly rewarded! .

I really appreciate it. I am not allergic to all shellfish just shrimp and lobster so that was kind of her to double check on my allergy. The steak was cooked to perfection and extremely flavorful. I really liked the salad as well. The coconut mochi cake was really the star of the show here it was a well done, toasted coconut flavor with a soft, moist cake and homemade whipped cream and sauce. Juicy flavorful pulled pork. Delicious smoked turkey. Brisket was just slightly dry but the sauce and nice bark made it enjoyable. The sausage was AMAZING, juicy and packed with flavor. Coleslaw in my opinion, could use a little more "wetness" but it was still delicious. What can I say about the mac and cheese and potato salad, people from the south, Texas to the Carolina's just know how to get it done. Delicious warm Pan Birote, smeared with beans, carnitas, queso Chihuahua, perfect poached eggs with a creamy and ever so tasty habanero Hollindaise and some of the best hot sauce in the side that I've tasted in a long time. Their brunch drinks all looked amazing but I had to order the cactus cooler, that drink has to be one of my favs. We sat at the bar and had the best service. He made me the cactus cooler even though it wasn't on the brunch menu and was so attentive. The restaurant was nice and vibrant and started to fill up closer to noon. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their morning and time there. Like I said, we will def be back!!!
