Came here for lunch during our time at Kids Empire and it is like a time capsule. Talk about a throw back. The shakes are massive and thick. Very good. Was excited for this to finally open but have to say, it doesn't keep up with the hype of the other locations. The restaurant is much smaller than the other locations I've been to which I assume means Almost always a 15 minute wait at least. I always get the Texas Tommy which is very easy and delicious, I usually do milkshakes which are also very good but this location bragged about their soda fountain which I know other locations made as special as milkshakes so we went that route. I was disappointed it's just fountain, nothing special and self serve. I could be wrong but I think the other places did have pieces of bubble gum and they also had a chocolate soda which this doesn't seem to. Also it's in a plastic cup which could be for Covid or new returning getting a feel for things but again, just nothing special to it. Also, I didn't realize it was National cheese fry day, the fries were overly done and the whiz not as fresh but that could be a one off. They do have a couple tables outside that would be a cool experience if they allow outdoor eating once it's warmer instead of paying for to go then eating there so I think we'll give another shot once the temp rises and see if it's new beginning bugs or just the new scaled back standard in this post/current pandemic controlled industry. read more

The new nifty fifty's is awesome. It was clean with friendly and hardworking staff. They were busy with a full house but server Charlee was friendly and attentive. The worst burger I was ever served!!!!! I don't know how a place like this had the nerve to serve me 2 ice cold dry patties. I took my grandsons there last night & was very upset. By the time the waitress came over to ask how everything was I ate 1/2 of it but I was very very disappointed that that a place that specializes in burgers would do that to a customer. Went there with my granddaughter. The restaurant is decorated with many flouresant lights with made the atmosphere very laid back and pleasant. The walls were covered with black and white tiles. The restaurant is set up for a good time. One of the main reason to go here is the full menu covered with different milk shakes. Honestly there must have been 40 or more different flavors to choose from. I had a peach Cobbler shake that was like eating a peach ice cream with pieces of crust mixed in. It was fantastic. My granddaughter had a double bubblegum shake that she loved. She ordered chicken nuggets with a small side of cheese fries. I ordered a special filet mignon sandwich. I pictured I would be getting a hamburger made with steak meat. Our waitress asked me how did I want it cooked. I said medium rare, still thinking it was going to be a hamburger. When I received my meal my sandwich was made with an actual generous piece of steak that was cooked to perfection. It had lettuce, tomato and onion on a great tasting bun. I was very happy that I ordered a small fries cause that was more than enough for the two of us. Our waitress's name was Miya and she made out time there very pleasant. The waitstaff were all very attentive to their customers making certain that they didn't need anything to make their meal even more pleasant. Oh I forgot to add that the manager of the restaurant came over to make sure my fillet mignon was done to my liking. That just added to the overall mood and the taste of this restaurant. I have experienced one of the most horiific experiences once again at this Nifty Fifties location. Six months ago I had an issue here. I was so excited to learn that we had a Nifty Fifties closer to where I currently live. I had placed an order for pick up, paid for it and picked up my food. Once I left one of the employees called my phone threatening me stating they would "call the police" because I never paid for my food when in all actuality i did pay but the restaurant charged me for the wrong order. As a result the owner did reach out to rectify the situation which I greatly appreciated. I was offered something however I kindly declined. Her manager Blair comes over and states that their system is saying the order has already been picked up by a man with the same name and the same phone number. I questioned the two ladies and asked them, "How is that so if I am Madisyn?" in addition I explained to her that there are many "Madison's" in the world and I spell my name with a Y not a O. I also asked them where is my food going, the employee at the register said it's probably going to my house. I told both the employee and the manager Blair that my order couldn't be going to my house because I ordered it for pickup. I asked the manager Blair if there was anything she could do about this and she stated I can go through DoorDash and request a refund or place the order again. I told Blair I would not like to place the order again because that means I would have to pay a second time for food. I explain to Blair that it's very frustrating from a customers perspective because I already paid for food and I never received the food, I then asked her if she would possibly be able to accommodate me by remaking the food. Blair stated that she can't just give out food because somebody already picked up my food. I was trying to show her my phone with the order information on DoorDash and she refused to look at it and I also did tell her that I could show her ID stating that I was Madisyn. As a result Blair became very rude and nasty towards me and was telling me, to get out of her store. She also told me that there is nothing she could do to assist me. The lack of professionalism, poor customer service, empathy, RACISM and service was completely uncalled for. The staff and managements lack of customer service that WAS NOT provided shows that this location is poorly ran, has no competence of how a restaurant should operate, as well as the lack of of customer satisfaction. I WILL NOT be giving this location a 3rd chance due to the blatant racism that occurred towards me. There are also several other complaints of this kind of behavior on the reviews. read more

I love Nifty Fifties however this location isn't as good as the Northeast Philly location. There is hardly any decorations from the fifties at this one. Really the only thing that matched was getting the food in baskets. Because of this I took off 2 stars. I found the employees very nice and the food was good as usual. After three less-than-acceptable visits to Nifty Fifty's, I will not be returning. The burgers are over-cooked and very small. The Fries and Onion Rings are not hot and are greasy. Used to go to Nifty Fifty's in Delco as a kid. This location brought back all of the memories. Shakes were gigantic and delicious. Burgers were tasty. Cheese fries were on point. Almost didn't go when I saw the reviews but I'm glad I didn't listen. Some other families had suggested we try it out so we gave it a try. We loved it. The milkshakes are incredible and gigantic. I want to start by saying we regularly go to the NE Philly location. We were in the area and gave this location a try. I was so dissapointed. I was worried Niftys changed their recipes or ingredients because the food was very bland. NO flavor in onion rings or chili cheese fries. Recently went back to our local NE location and I was glad to find their flavors were still spot on. It was just the Warminster location that was pretty bad. If you leave here dissapointed, try other locations because the taste is way different. read more

What a disappointment. We tried this place twice, the second time was worst then the first. I can drive to the Grant Ave location eat and get home faster then if we had eaten in this restaurant. To many employees standing around doing nothing. We order cheese fries, did not come out with the meals we ordered. We had to cancel the fries after waiting another 15 mins after we finished our burgers. I would recommend sending your employees to the Northeast location and see how efficient they are. Ordered a "peach" shake. Was absolutely disgusting. Ended up throwing it away. Artificially flavored. Tasted like artificially flavored vanilla ice cream with absolutely no fruit flavor. I don't even think their ice cream is real. Tastes like a mix. Paid almost $10 for one shake and was inedible. Would not try again nor recommend. Kids went for burgers and shakes at dinner. They ordered everything together at the start of their meal. Burgers came and were good. The shakes were delayed. A lot. Kids ate the burgers and were repeatedly told they were working on the shakes but were backed up. Shakes arrived an hour or more after the meal. It took so long that kids were worried junior license would expire and they'd need to be picked up! Not an experience we're likely to repeat, even though the food and shakes were good. Arrived to a short line with a group of 7, only one of which was a child. We were seated in a booth which barely fit us. Needless to say someone spilled a drink. Our mistake and we cleaned the mess but the staff didn't even attempt to help or give us rags. Lots of "busboys" standing around doing nothing. Our order took way too long to come out. One of our orders they ran out of but didn't tell us until they delivered our meals. The other item we chose to replace what they didn't have was onion rings with cheese. Took 30 mins and came with no cheese. We then ordered normal milkshakes, black and white, chocolate, coffee and a vanilla. This too took over 30 mins. Staff was not trained properly, very unorganized but friendly. This place needs new and experienced managers to reel this place back in.
