Everyone was very friendly. Not many amenities, but we had our full hook-ups and use of the bathroom facilities which is really all we needed as we were out most of the time. The park is super close to downtown which was a plus. We had issues with our power as we had to convert from 50 to 30amp, but I think our rig was just too powerful which is not the parks fault. Everything else was great! We were told there is a cool hiking trail and creek but we did not experience that for ourselves. Definitely a cute little spot to stay close to town!

The spots are very close to each other, but this is a small campground, maybe 50 spots. The KOA person guided us into our spot, made it easy because if it was just me and the wife... well you know! Moss landing is an old fishing town, very small, abut very historical and interesting to walk around. The ocean beach is walking distance from the campground. I will return to this place, very safe and very secluded. Nice clean laundry room, landscaping is beautiful, location is in a very secluded area in the farming community. Very tight spots, you are really close to your neighbor. But that's OK, this is a place you stay at, and go out during the day to see the sites around the area. There is no stores or restaurants in the area. Only one deli (which is really good but only open to 3pm). So you will need to have food and supply with you.

The other levels, journey, destination and resort are increasingly fancy, but generally have some kind of market, a cafe or restaurant, pools, jacuzzis and the like - more so at the higher levels. Well, this one was a fraction of the size of most of those. it was very well kept, nice level paved sites, excellent bathrooms - two full bathrooms, where you get your own toilet, sink and shower and door It's essentially located right in the harbor, there's a gate that will get you to the docks. Including all the whale watching boats . A bunch of sea lions were my neighbors on a rock on the other side of the fence. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance as well, so that makes up for not having one on site

Wonderful stay at KOA Holiday Campground!…read more We had a fantastic experience at this KOA Holiday campground. The entire place was very clean and well maintained, which we really appreciated. The pool was spotless, and the jacuzzi was warm and relaxing after a long day. What we loved most is that there are so many activities for kids. It's a great place for families -- children have plenty to do and never get bored. The campground is organized, friendly, and comfortable. Everything felt safe and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay so much that we definitely plan to come back again!

Wind was very nice when sunny but real cold when cloudy! Tent camping doesn't have fire pits due to fire regulation. Came on a weekend. Place was booked up but there was never a line for the bathroom. Bathroom can get dirty but they do get cleaned. Trash picked up every morning. Staff is very helpful. Cute goats (you can buy goat feed at the general store next to the restaurant for $4.50), plenty of parking.

My feelings about Costanoa are mixed…read more The grounds and views are amazing. I wanted to take a picture everywhere I looked, and the fresh air was so relaxing. I found Costanoa to have a great variety of lodging and activity options. It's a fun trip for families or couples trying to get away from their everyday hectic life. The Cascade Restaurant was much better than I expected and everyone in my party commented on the quality of the food. I appreciated how there is a sit down restaurant and also a casual place (Pine Tent) to get lunch or dinner. The General Store had a decent selection of snacks and drinks for purchase. I didn't get to do any activities but they all looked fun! They have a playground for kids and lawn games. There are pedal karts for rent and I saw many kids just riding around on their own bikes. However, I stayed in the Bungalow Tent and I had the worst sleep ever in my life. I have had 2 children and had to wake up throughout the night to nurse, but it did not compare to the terrible sleep I had in my tent. The tent is made of sturdy canvas and it has a door and windows. I noticed that my window was broken so it didn't close completely. At night, the temperature drops quite a bit but there is no heater in the tent. They do provide heated blankets. The Outer Pine area where my tent was located, was extremely windy. I don't know if this was unusual but I am assuming it's pretty normal for the area. As a result, the tent sides were flapping continuously from about 10pm-4am. When the wind finally died down, animals (maybe raccoons) started jumping and walking on my tent roof. As a result, I could not sleep from 4-6am. I barely got any rest for my one night at Costanoa. I was staying there for a yoga retreat, so I had to do hikes and yoga the next day. Boy, was I exhausted! It's inconvenient for females to have to walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It's really dark, cold, and windy, so be prepared. There is only 1 indoor shower stall in each bathroom building (why??) and I didn't even take a shower because the other women were complaining that the water kept getting cold and then hot. I do want to return to Costanoa, but I'd never stay in the tents again. I would, however, like to try staying at The Lodge!

Good number of on site restrooms/showers and code lock doors to keep out undesirables (unfortunately that's really common these days) Cameron's resturaunt is adjoined to the RV park and food is pretty good. Karaoke on Friday/Saturday evening made for a fun time. Took May grandson out biking and the access to trails coastside avoiding any need to be near a road was a super plus. Close to beaches, but no direct quick access from the park grounds.

Lori, the manager, is…read moresuch a nice women and is extremely kind and helpful, we had no issues getting a long term spot for my husband due to his constant change in jobs so he is constantly changing locations for work and they were able to get us a spot immediately for long term stays. The location is great, near downtown and close to everything you need like shops, grocery stores and gas stations. The bike trails that lead to the ocean from the RV Park are INCREDIBLE, we went on bike rides everyday! Side note: I grew up in Half Moon Bay, our family currently doesn't live here anymore but I have a long history with the town and the people who live there. Secondly, At the end of our families stay, we were informed by the park that they were getting complaints about our children... saying they were being too loud, people would occasionally hear them crying, we were playing music (during the day) and they could hear our kids running around inside the trailer.... Our children are 4 and 1 years old.... They were being KIDS!! So someone near us, was that bothered by our children, they had to make a huge deal about it and report us to the front office... My husband has not lived at home in almost 4 years due to his job so when my children and I would come see my husband it was for a week at a time, and that is the ONLY time we get to see him. We have to travel to him, otherwise we don't get to see him AT ALL. I understand nobody knows our situation, which we dont expect people too, but it also made us feel extremely unwelcome after that phone call we received, it made us feel extremely uncomfortable and we felt like we were now being watched because our kids had a couple "bad days". Being from Half Moon Bay, I took this news extremely personal, it made us feel like we were getting "kicked out" or "warned" that if it didn't change, they were going to ask us to leave. All because someone can't handle children being children. My husband has lived in 8 different trailer parks all up and down California and Nevada the last 4 years and we have NEVER had complaints towards our family. There are a ton of retired, working and older tenants who live there full time and apparently some forget what it's like to have kids, or they've never had kids themselves. Unfortunately, we did decide to leave the park. At that time my husband had already lived there full time for over 3 months. My husband was not comfortable having us come visit him if we felt unwelcome and felt like we were going to be watched each time we came. Especially telling our children they can't be themselves while they're there because some people have issues with kids. We genuinely enjoyed our stay there, we had such a great time creating memories as a family, until we didn't. I do recommend staying here if your doing a short term stays because you're gone in a few days so it's not enough time to create an issue, but if you have children and are looking for a long term place, I would not recommend it unless you "KEEP THEM ON A TIGHT LEASH" which is what was told to our new tenant by the park when moving in. And to the front office, I did not create this post to have you reply or feel like you need to "stick up" for your RV Park, it's a GREAT park, I just don't think it's GREAT for children which is the focus of my posting. Thank you for allowing us to stay there for the time we did, but it was time for us to go.

Very family oriented as lots of kids on scooters having the time of their lives. Even though lots of kids were there, the place is still very peaceful and quiet. There's is a nice clubhouse with a kitchen area, sofa and games such as fooseball and shuffleboard. Several board games as well. The deck has plenty of tables for eating or just hanging out. The San Lorenzo river is right there and just beautiful. Easy to walk down to the river. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. I love their little store- it has the right amount of miniature basics and there is also ice cream pints and the most delicious ice cream sandwiches. The other bonus is that you can burn a real wood fire at night! Will definitely keep coming back!
