We went on St Pattys Day specifically for corned beef and it did not disappoint. Nice sized serving and it was all prepared nicely. It was very busy but they were efficient and working hard to get people taken care of in a timely manner. read more

Not a horrible option for a dive bar in the middle of nowhere. The staff is so friendly and it truly felt welcoming to walk into their restaurant. Both visits have been for lunch when it's been very quiet so the service was quick and attentive. We had our daughter with us so we quickly ordered something off the kids menu and they had it in front of her very fast. We started with cheese curds and I really enjoyed them, but they're kinda hard to mess up. For lunch, I had the fish sandwich and my wife had the Shrimp Po Boy. On a previous visit, I had their chicken ranch wrap. Both of our sandwiches were on naan bread which was kinda overkill and they had a lot of sauce, which was necessary. I wish I went with the wrap again because I recall that being pretty good. The seasoned fries and actually waffle fries, which was a great surprise. Overall, small local hole in the wall bar that's very clean and friendly. TouchTunes and a pool table make it fun to hang out. Service was great both visits and the food is better than most bars but nothing special. We will be back. read more

Nice and cozy place for a good lunch or dinner. Decent beer selection with the classics plus some good local craft selections. Great value on the food as most everything is under $10 unless you add extra sides etc. Service is friendly. We both got burger baskets and a kids entree. My only critique was personally like the burger medium rare, it was more medium to medium well; overall still tasty though. The kids portion was generous. Overall a great place to stop in for satisfying meal. read more

We waited an hour and a half while all the surrounding tables got served some that arrived later than we did. Our waitress had a terrible attitude and never once updated us on what the issue was and we never got to order drinks that we wanted. We finally got our food after complaining to the bar person and the baked potato sweet potato fries and prime rib was cold. Food bill was reduced because of the wait but nothing but excuses for food being cold. Would have preferred a full price hot meal. Our waitress had an attitude and it showed even when I gave her the money to pay the bill she stated that our reduced meal meant a reduced tip!! read more

Went here for lunch with a couple other people. Nice little place. They have a pool table if your interested in that. I had the cheese burger basket. Burger was pretty good. A little small. Did not eat the fries. They came out warm to almost cold. We did order a ton of fried foods to be fair. The fries should have been the last thing to cook. I think they were the first. We also got the mozzarella sticks. Very good. Fried just right. The broccoli and cheese bite were very good I'm told. I didn't try one. Deep fried mushrooms were excellent. To hot to eat when they arrived. Should have been the first thing they fried as they retain the heat for a long time. Also tried what I would call deep fried pickle wraps. Pickles wrapped in cream cheese and ham, wrapped in egg roll paper and deep fried. A different taste, but they were good. Friendly lady for our server. I will go back and try a couple other things. This is a must go to establishment. Friendly staff, amazing food, and the best chicken wings around. Great place for the whole family. Ashley the bartendress treats you as if you were her sibling. We were there last week and first, it felt more than 25% capacity. We had burgers and they were too done and smaller than the bun (to much bun for hamburger). We eat at Night Haemwk periodically and it is okay. read more

I came here looking for a dive bar, instead felt like I found a run down Applebee's. Had a burger that wasn't terrible but nothing special. It was slightly above room temperature by the time it got to me. I washed down the experience with a surprisingly affordable Miller Lite. Overall my dinner at this establishment was delightfully mediocre. read more

We've been here twice and both times my food was not good. The 1st time my taco salad was nothing special, not even served in a taco bowl instead they mushed up tortilla chips, the "taco" meat was bland. The 2nd time I got a personal pizza. The toppings weren't cooked and still raw and the mushrooms were canned and not fresh, the dough was not fresh/hand tossed and flavorless. Seriously step up your game Nighthawk! read more

Bad night at the Nighthawk. This was our first time here. Probably our last. Service was the worst. Food was mediocre at best and yet the place was busy. There were six in our group. Five meals were delivered and one was completely forgotten. No one checked back and we just sat there. Finally we were presented with the bill and asked for the missing meal. Tacky. I had asked at the beginning what kind of fish was being served with the Thursday special and was told it was Cod. It wasn't? Drinks came 2 at a time and only one wine order was refilled. Fries were cold and the burritos were swimming in sauce hiding the fact that there wasn't much under all that goo. Menus were hard to read in the darkened interior and the AC was set and kept running in in the low 60's. Was glad to pay and warm up outside. read more

We recently re-found this great bar. Love the food and the staff. It's quiet and a great place to sit back enjoy a few drinks, play some pool and get some great food. Love the specials like the 1/2 way to st. Patties day with the corned beef special. Saturday nights have prime rib on special a queen and king size cooked your way. Have visited the Nighthawk many times and have had good service. However yesterday evening was an exception. Our waitress gave us the impression that we were bothering her. We got our beers timely, but had to wait quite a long time for her to come back for our food orders. Same with our final checks. I could understand if the place was busy, but it wasn't. Maybe she was just having a bad day? Not a cheerful waitress! read more

Went here once while visiting some family in Alto. One person had chicken strips and fries...clearly come frozen. One person had a wet burrito...gross beef and the burrito was SWIMMING in sauce. One person had fish and chips...fish was cooked well but batter was bland. The cole slaw that came with the fish was DELICIOUS but the cole slaw that came with the chicken tenders had no sauce on it. I was unimpressed by the bland frozen food and slow (but friendly) service. We won't be going back here. read more

The food is so-so. I had the taco salad and it was iceberg lettuce with some meat, cheese olives and maybe onions? Very blah and tasteless. Next time I ordered their grilled cheese on sour dough. They don't have sour dough, only white or wheat. It was an ok sandwich but would have been much better on good bread. For a neighborhood bar, i felt like I was in the wrong neighborhood. The staff seemed to be bothered by an out sider couple interrupting their evening. My wife and I have lived in the neighborhood for more than twenty years and originally thought this would be ideal. We have stopped in for dinner a few times over the years but never have been very impressed. The olive burger this evening was shrouded with expired olives, the bourbon chicken wings were good. The server was apparently inconvenienced by our intrusion and the bartender, though she makes a good dry martini, doesn't seem to like interruptions from keno players. read more
