It truly feels like a cornerstone of our neighborhood, a place where everyone knows your name and you always feel at home. All visitors have gone thru the challenges of life despite their differences--respectfully. And so much of that incredible, welcoming spirit comes directly from Chris, the manager with Nick and Janine, the bartenders. Chris genuinely believes in creating a true community hub, fostering an atmosphere where everyone feels like they're part of an extended family. You can really feel that dedication when you're there; it's exactly the kind of friendly, local spot we all cherish. We hope to celebrate my husband's birthday on Saturday, June 6!

I am extremely disappointed with my recent visit to NightHawk. My friends and I have been regulars here for months, enjoying drinks after work, but after this experience, we will not be returning. When we arrived at NightHawk after work, we went to the bar to order a couple of drinks. Unfortunately, the bartender, who had a lot of tattoos, was very rude when taking our orders. I asked for an espresso martini, but she refused to make it, stating that she was alone and needed help from a coworker. This seemed like an excuse not to serve us. When I then asked for a Jack and Coke, she claimed she was out of ice, yet she continued serving other patrons at the bar. We were left confused and felt unwelcome. We were not intoxicated or causing any trouble, so it was clear that the bartender just didn't want to serve us. This behavior is unacceptable, especially to loyal customers. The bartender was disrespectful and impolite. I strongly urge management to address this issue with the staff member in question, as her attitude is driving away regulars. It's sad to say, but we will be taking our business elsewhere. It's a shame because NightHawk used to be a place we looked forward to visiting. read more

I recently went on a Wednesday night and had a great time! The other folks at the bar were friendly, the music was fun (and not too loud!), the look of the bar with it's big mural of the famous Nighthawks painting was intimate and cool. Two things really stood out the cocktails and the bartender. The bartender was a great lady named Kennedy. I wasn't sure what to order so she asked me what I liked and made me a wonderful Mezcal drink. A little sweet, a little herbal. Wonderful! I had a few classic drinks- Bee's knees, and a gin martini. Gin martini was cold and refreshing. Kennedy recommended a gin (can't remember, will have to ask if I go again) that was super herbaceous and worked well with the small amount of vermouth in my drink (I like them dry). The bee's knees was also nicely balanced- although i just had the standard gin with it. I don't make it to Redwood often, but I will try to come back soon! read more
