Boy do they try to hustle you at the register! I love the Nike Factory Store! It's located inside the Great Mall. It is a pretty big store and there's always a lot of variety to choose from. There are always plenty of workers around and asking if you are okay. And the store is pretty neat and clean almost all the time. It gets pretty crazy in there especially when there are good deals going on but the store still manages to keep the lines moving and keep the store pretty descent looking. I like to buy clothes from there. Not sure about the shoe selection since I don't buy from there. read more

I'm a sneakerhead so I love shoes. I have over 300 pairs of shoes ranging from your rare colletors to your ave everyday shoes. I can always find a good deal here and my size. I buy at least 4-5 pairs of shoes each month. This is just another great place to hunt for my addiction. read more

I was just there last weekend trying to get a pair of shoes for myself, and the salesperson was super informative and helpful. His name was Richmond. He explained to me the difference between the shoes, and when I tried on different pairs, he was patient and put away the shoes for me. Great Mall isn't really known for great customer service, but this guy was so helpful. I've actually told my mom to go there and see if he could help her find comfortable shoes. (I ended up buying a pair of Nike Air Pegasus. ) read more

For a factory store they are really expensive. Check everything before buying, some shoes have flaws and not the same size. They don't have much tennis gear. I was looking for a nike bandana they dont have it. read more

I've shopped here a number of times; as previous Yelpers have said, the quality of the clothing is good but there's usually little discount over regular prices. You have to look hard to find a good deal. My biggest problem is the below-average customer service. Call it a pet-peeve, but when you bring an item to the register that is marked one price, and the clerk tells you it is mis-marked and is really a higher price, that's bad enough. But when the clerk acts as if it's your fault--that's a real problem. That's the worse I experienced one time I bought clothes there, but the customer service was not much better any of the other times. Only shop here if you have to have Nike, fast. read more

Well i had a realy bad experience at the nike factory today i had bought some shoes like 3 days ago and they felt a little bit to big i wanted to just get a half a size smaller there went to the store at first the employees were realy nice i i told them that i did not have my receipt that i just needed to get a smaller size once i got to the register they said the they were gona give me some credit for the shoes but not the credit i paid so i was surprise and they told me that i had toay a diference for the exact same shoes and a size smalle i had told the that it wasnt fair but it seems like theirolicy is more important then taking care of the costumer im not trying to steal i just needed a size smaller now im stuck wit some shoes that dont fit me read more

A customer only remembers 1 thing after walking out of a store - how he/she was treated. As a customer, I will never set foot in this store again. It takes one bad tomato (or two) to ruin the whole basket, and this very rotten tomato has spoiled the whole thing for us. I think some of the team members here forgot that majority of their business is customer service. We've all made that mistake of buying something, turns out it doesn't fit, returned it to the store, only to find out and be told that "We can't help you here and we can't do anything about it" without even an apology. Why should it be the customer's fault, when the (returning) guidelines were not made clear and not indicated on the receipt? FYI, the textbook definition of Customer Service is: "assistance and other resources that a company provides to the people who buy or use its products or services." Yes, they do have a very competent "head coach" and an attentive and patient team member (yes, only 1)..but the rest are just there..giving customers laconic answers, pointing to the aisle where they can find whatever it is they're looking for, or another (team member) standing at the counter arms akimbo impatiently waiting for the manager to finish dealing with a complaining customer while looking as if to pounce on said customer, others just looking busy but really are doing nothing. Our complaint was taken care of, thanks to the very competent and patient head coach, but the whole experience left a really, bad, vile taste in my mouth. read more

This store is horrible in the customer relations sector, fist off the store is moderately organized because the people who work there do a half-@44ed job at keeping the store organized things are thrown around on the floor and shoes are not in their correct boxes, now comes in the customer relations part; I showed up to the store 30 minutes before their posted closing time and the guy at the door YELLED at me telling me to get out because they were closing, I tried to explain to him that I knew what I wanted and he persisted on getting me out of the store and blocking my path to get inside, I than proceeded to point out the times on the door and I showed him my phones clock that showed that there was still 30 minutes to closing and he did not budge so I left because of this employee and now the store has lost my business. If you need sporting goods apparel just do yourself a favor and either go to Sports Authority which is inside the same mall, or if you really want good quality just get Adidas even if you have to drive all the way to Gilroy or San Francisco. read more

My mom was returning an item here and had used $5 gift card from the surveys you complete at the end of a receipt. Technically the return should be processed by having the $5 gift card back on the gift card and the remaining balance in the original form of payment. However, the manager here insisted on that the $5 gift card not be returned and is a one time use only, while only the remaining balance be returned. Guess they were taking advantage of my mom's poor English skills. You may wonder oh maybe the return policy has changed. I called Nike corporate and they said that was not the case. Also called Nike Factory Livermore and they said everything should be refunded including the $5 gift card. Decided to call Nike Milpitas and they have refused to pick up their phones. Honestly, it's not about the $5, but the poor service and lack of following proper protocol. Told my mom to stop shopping at Nike and go to other competitors instead, at least they value customers. read more

Had a simply amazing experience on 2nd of January. I wanted to surprise my lady with the Air Max she had mentioned to me earlier in the day that I had told her would have to wait a few days because I had a bunch of tasks on my plate for the day. Finished my day's work with 10 minutes from the time I pulled up to the parking lot to try and purchase them. The entire process went like a Warriors game clutching a win at the last minute: From my car, through the crowd, getting to the specific shoes, and having 5 minutes to closing, Patty B came through to find the exact size I needed. First guessing that there weren't any more in size 5, to hunting through and finding a 6 with just a minute till close, I was already in line to pay, after finding out that it was the last day for the sale that dropped the price by about 40%. Patty B was looking through the online inventory as I stood in line, then just as I'm about to get called to the next register, Patty B came through like a champ shouting out from the back that he had found the size I needed. Clutch performance. I was blown away by his determination after sensing my passion to get the shoes, to check every possibility off the list before quitting time. Adriana the cashier was on point along with the rest of the team. My lady was so surprised when I came home with her shoes hidden in the groceries, only to find that she had texted me the wrong shoe size on accident earlier in the day. Came back and exchanged it later on though, another amazing experience in itself, as simple as it was. read more

What's the point of having a leap load of workers who won't even bother looking or making an effort to get a shoe size when you ask if that's there job. Have that be the case I'll look for it on my own. Called in to the store and asked for a very popular skateboard shoe. At first they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about then the guy said he would check he put me on hold for over 6 minutes and I then hung up and called back. This time they said the same thing came back and said they didnt have the shoe in blue. I never asked for a specific color only the size of the particular shoe. He puts me on hold again after I explain this and goes back comes back a minute and a half later and states the shoe is only in high top. Imo it was really horrible customer service. I would never buy from there unless absolutely necessary. read more

Employees are nice, but the head manager has awful customer service skills. She needs to be replaced. I paid $70.00 plus tax for a pair of shoes that lasted six weeks only. When I told the manager about it, she blamed my son in a rude way for it, and insinuated that those were not the shoes I had purchased six weeks ago, since they looked overused... but guess what? Yes, those were the shoes I purchased six weeks ago! She needs to be more polite and nice to customers. That's not the way to treat costumers!!! read more

As with most outlet stores, the "regular" prices aren't as much of a deal (perhaps 10-20% off) but, occasionally, you will find great deals ... Kobe VI's for $60 for example. Just come back once a month or so. I've no issues with the customer service level or workers here. read more

A large part of my enjoyment of the Milpitas Great Mall is simply the experience of walking the great circular plan of the mall along with other families. The atmosphere is vital and positive at this mall. It is indeed a family-focused location. One need only observe the number of children's shops, and kiosks devoted specifically to the child-set, to see that kids are very important here. One need only observe that generally the children present are dressed with some care and are provided with the best of Great Mall sweets to find proof that Great Mall parents are attentive. Why then does the manager of Great Mall allow Nike to dress its very large window space with the series of big, ugly testosterone man posters that have recently been put in place? These are in fact aggressive-looking, not festive family fare at all. The message seems to be that if you buy Nike products, you'll be a REAL athlete, like one of the inglorious ugly dudes pictured in the windows. I don't look like those misguided, steroided fiends, yet I feel I am a pretty respectable athlete. Shame on Nike. I feel the images to be not only unacceptable but inconsistent with what I have come to expect from the Great Mall's offerings. If there is too much more of aggression in Great Mall's ad-messaging, I think I will just find a new place for me and my family to stroll and shop. Thanks.
