Products are great and comfortable. I think Timberland boots especially are one of the best boots one can buy at the $150+ range and therefore the low score is not a reflection of the quality and value of the product, but the bad score is more so on the service. For one, the staff seemed very disinterested on making sure we are buying the right products. I bought these nubuck Timberland boots, and at the cash register I was looking for boot treatments in making my boots more water resistant. I picked out the only thing I thought would work. Turns out on the bottom, the directions says "Not for suede or nubuck." Gee thanks Timberland staff. You could've pointed this out before I bought it. Instead they were just there to just go through the motions. Now I cannot buy any nubuck treatment in time before my trip because the staff here don't give any thoughts to the customer experience. read more

The customer service here is great! The store is clean and organized but for me it's all about the customer service. They didn't have the size I wanted and that is because it's an Outlet. So they have the sizes when they get them. Don't blame the store or the employees, just blame luck. They did introduce me to some extremely comfortable hiking shoes that have wonderful traction and are waterproof. It's my daily pair to wear during this wet season. A large chain as this you think would be more informative about what time and follow up if their are not. Two hooks on my new boots fell off on the first day I wore them. I came by this store for an exchange, but the clerk told me there's no other pair of same boots in their store, not even in the whole country storage. Okay, then I walked around in their store and found exactly same boots with same size. Lie to my face and don't even feel awkward after I put the new ones in front of him. But we also found one hook falls off on the new one. Proven all the same model has quality issue, I asked for the refund. However they refuse to refund at first because the last 4 digits shown on the receipt is different from my card. I checked all my credit card and couldn't find any match the receipt. I asked the clerk to double check the record because I'm pretty sure I paid with one of my credit card and he refused to help check. So I have to check on my bank app and found the transaction history and proof the 4 digits on their receipt is wrong I like Timberland and have been shopping for their jackets and boots for years. However I'm so disappointed at this store. The clerks working at here don't care their customers at all and show bad face to u. I would never come back to this store again. read more

I'd give it 3.5 stars. But i am feeling generous today, so the half extra is me being nice today. Timberland has a lotta cheap items. If you love their stuff, get on their mailing list, and they'll send you a 20% discount every 3-4 months. And its applicable for the whole purchase and not just one item. Cool!! Its even applicable for the stuff thats already on sale. I once bought a tee for $3, after all the crazy discounts. Score!! The only thing missing is the fact they sell almost exclusively mens items. I came here in 2017 just looking at Timberlands and walked out with a pair of chocolate boots! The staff was extremely helpful. I let them know I was just looking at boots that weren't the original work boot model, and they steered me to different designs. I was interested in the chocolate boot model when the staff member mentioned to me that they had the same model arrive on clearance. Wow... a $125 boot dropped down to $60. I just had to bite. And so I did. I'm pretty sure the boot was a factory second or something because of the discount. But 2 years later, the boot is still going strong. read more

3.5 years ago we moved to San Jose, near the Great Mall. I bought these sandals that were $30. I have worn them at least 2-3 times a week since then because they are so comfortable and such good quality that they've held their shape and still offer support very well. I can take walks for miles in these shoes, and I actually have! Yesterday, walking around the neighborhood after dinner, the little toe divider thingy broke. I almost cried, these shoes have served me so well and every time I'm near a Timberland store (Chicago, two weeks ago) I have looked for a similar style to replace them. Now I have to get serious. By my conservative calculations I got 260 wearings out of these shoes. That's 11 point five cents every time they hit the town. Can you say that of other shoes you own? Unfortunately I can't... Every one of the four times I called in the store, the staff has always been prompt, professional, and friendly. Throughout my process of ordering and searching for my boots, the staff has always been efficient and helpful. I went in later that evening and John was the one that helped me with my transaction. Everyone was superb there! Excellent customer service! Came in here on a weekend ,it was very busy. So busy that I almost walked right back out! I'm glad I didn't ! There were great deals (like $29 fleece jackets) and boots galore. I got exellent customer service here, they were glad to answer any questions or go in the back to check for sizes. When the SA wasn't sure about something, the manager I believe his name was Trevor was more than happy to help! The store was nicely organized, which is rare.. especially for a holiday season. And the manager was walking around making sure no one had any questions and knew about the latest store promotions. Store doesn't look too big but they have a good selection of shoes to select from. From formal to casual wear, I was pretty impressed at their choice of selection. Also, you're getting a big discount on the shoes since it's an outlet store. Didn't look at the other items such as shirts/pants/shorts, but for shoes, not too bad. read more

What a joke this place is. I went there to buy a pair of work boots a month ago and I asked if there was a 30 day moneyback guarantee. The lady at the counter told me yes you can return these if you're not satisfied within 30 days.she also told me you won't return them back here though there is an explanation in the box explaining exactly where to return them. So I bought the boots and I did not like them but come to find out I don't return them Myself somewhere I have to mail them in and send them to Kentucky. What a nightmare that was first of all I had to spend $23 of my own money at the post office then I come to find out I'm not going to get my Sales tax which was $13 back either. I felt like I was being punished for returning their shoes. In the picture you can see exactly what I had to go through to get a refund. Like I said it's been over a month now and no check has came in because they said it could take up to eight weeks before you get your refund. I will never go here ever again. read more

Came in about 20minutes before they closed and hoped they had some waterproof boots for my 4 yr old picky daughter. With the help of the awesome and really polite staff, we found some! And I also found a pair for myself because they were so helpful and kind to us. I needed some for the snow this season since I'm taking my daughter snowboarding for her first time and destroyed my snow boots from last year. I will definitely be shopping here again and will put our boots to the ultimate tests of rain puddles and snow ball fights the next coming months.
