This has been our go to lunch spot when we are in town for several years now. We make a special trip to the south side just for our fix. No more greasy, wimpy burgers. The food was tasty. The portions were large. The service was lackluster. I'm not expecting much...but the service could have been better. If you are looking for "authentic" Greek, this is not the place. Black olives and green olives are not Greek. Calamata olives are...and there were a couple of those thrown in there for good measure, but that was not the bulk of what was on the plate. The place was good and tasty. .Closed on Mondays. Its not the most authentic, fine Greek establishment I've been in so dont expect that. At under $10 for a gyro with fries and a drink why would you?? Its geared more towards pleasing a large, hungry working crowd. Grab a big ol gyro and go type thing. Quality is average and portions are large. Its a good value. I highly recommend their gyro plate. Nikos has remained CONSISTENT for such a long period of time. They've never dramatically raised prices as most restaurants do after a while... the quality of the ingredients hasn't changed.. no drastic changes to hours... plus the owner is both hardworking and friendly. I believe these are the reasons why this place has been so successful. read more

The dolmas were good. Everything else was okay I think the most disappointing thing was the cucumber yogurt sauce it was very bland and not like any cucumber yogurt sauce I've had before. It was heavy on the yogurt with no herbs. read more
