Niko is a genius with food combos. Some stuff is a tad over priced, but the large portions and taste of 98% of the food makes up for it. His pasta is outstanding!!! Burgers/burger creations, untouchable. "Nacho" creations are amazing! One platter feeds 2-3 of my kids for 10 bucks... I spend more than that on them when we get fast food. Had a bad experience last night at Niko's I placed an order by phone and clarified what was in it in detail. I was told yes, they got it all. When I arrived to get it after 45 minutes (which they said 40 minutes), they handed me two out of the four items ordered. I asked about it and they said that the beef roll was not done. I waited another 10 minutes and they handed off the meal. Once in the car, I thought I better double check again and realized that again I was one item short. I went back in and was told that because of the way I ordered, the order taker was confused and gave me a combo Italian beef sandwich instead of the combo platter sampler...(again I clarified on the phone that I was talking about the mushrooms, onion rings, etc. and was told yes that's right). There was about a five minute discussion that it wasn't their fault and was finally offered for them to make it and have me pay for it since I wasn't charged. By this time, part of my order had been sitting for an hour so I wasn't going to wait any longer. This place is a gem in Joliet, He has some really great specials daily and the portions are huge! Now I will say that i have ordered here quite often lately and my favorite dish he makes is the Fettuccine Alfredo! So good! And He has this sandwich "Monster Chicken" It has Grilled chicken, bacon, avocado and cheese. We have used his catering for several family partys and I suggest his Wraps, always a hit! I did have a bad experience with nikos years ago when he first opened...and Im really glad i gave him another chance because not only is his food great but once you get to meet and know Niko he is one of the most kind and hard working people you will ever meet! First time I have ordered from here. Scheduled for pick up and arrived a bit earlier expecting to wait. Food was already made and ready to go even though I was early. I was initially happy, however it seems the food was made much earlier as it was room temp by the time I picked it up. After putting the pizza and knots in the oven for about 10 minutes, it was fine. We are staying at Harrah's hotel and ordered online for delivery through an ordering service called bringmethat.com (its the only option to order online from niko's. Had a horrible experience: Ordered steak philly sandwich - received chicken Ordered baklava - got chocolate cake (delivery man says they dont even carry baklava anymore) Ordered regular nachos (chips and cheese) and received deluxe nachos, which my teen doesn't like any of that other stuff. The ranch dressing for the salad was rancid. They didn't leave a copy of the receipt, which i needed for business expense. I contacted bringmethat.com. They apologized and said they'd call the restaurant. The restaurant refused to do any refund. The only thing they would do is replace the wrong food with the correct food. At that point we just wanted to go to bed (10:00pm). Would never, ever go to or order food again from this restaurant. read more

Food is ok. Delivery is SLOW and they NEVER remember to bring the salad dressings or side sauce for your stuff then they offer no compensation other than to send it usually an hour+ later. Last time I got a salad they didn't bring my dressing I called and they said they would send it right over an hour later I called back asking where my dressing was and the girl replied the driver said he brought it with your order so I didn't send him back out. If I call and say I am angry that I didn't get what I ordered your gonna tell me one thing and just decide the driver don't need to bring me the dressing for my salad that I paid almost $10 for!? We have ordered quite a few different items on their menu- burgers, wraps, pizza, etc. We loved everything we've gotten so far! We have only had delivery once, we called at 7 on a Friday night and we got 2 gigantic pizzas, 2 small pizzas, and a tray of fries. It took a little over an hour to deliver and I think that's great for the size of our order and the chaos of a Friday night. Our food was hot and delicious as well. Overall pretty disgusting food & staff(including owner niko) I've found hair in my food on 2 occasions and instead of them asking how they can make it right they told me no one with black hair had been near my food(everyone that works there has black hair!) the last time I ordered nachos from there they didn't drain the grease off of the ground beef and they were all gooey and nasty when I brought this to their attention they agreed to give me my money back but asked that I don't order there anymore seriously???? Worst pizza ever. Cardboard tastes better than this. Sauce tastes like it just came out of can. No flavor or seasoning what so ever. Cheese was like processesd crap that is fed to prisoners. I've tried to like this place. They're close to my job, and deliver, and have nice promotions making me want to like this place. But I can't. The food is consistently poor. I've ordered from them at least 6 times and I've never, ever, been happy. If you're lucky, it'll be average junk food. If you're unlucky, you'll get a burger with so much ketchup and mustard that it's goopy. With fries that are soggy because it comes in a foam container which holds in the steam (water). A couple weeks back, I placed a reasonably-decent $36 order that inc. a beef wrap for pick-up. I got home and it was burnt. I couldn't eat the top of it. Tonight, I ordered a beef wrap for delivery to my work and it was obscenely, horrifically loaded with minced garlic - like scoops of garlic. Like as if the cook was pissed. I hope the cook(s) don't deliberately ruin the food, but I'm starting to wonder. This place cannot survive with such poor quality garbagey crap coming out of the kitchen. And, I really want to like this place. The staff are usually very nice and I'm one of their "Facebook friends." They're always running specials, which indicates business is not good. And, if it isn't, it's because the food is crap and they need cooks. Sorry, Niko's but I'm being honest. I do give them credit in that they refunded tonight's garlic wrap. But, I suspect they're so used to giving refunds because of poor quality that it's a normal part of business. read more
