Since KP International originated as a Korean market there is a huge selection of Korean food and has the most extensive inventory of Korean products. There are multiple security guards throughout the store as a crime deterrent and can call the police if needed. Even the cashiers are overly vigilant. On one occasion I was pushing my cart by the register to look at items arraigned across from the register and I was yelled at that I needed to pay. I explained I was going to the items for sale and the cashier told me I needed to leave my cart next to the register. I left my cart next to the register and she stood next to it and proceeded to stare me down as I went to look at the display with the items. The Tofu Soup from the food court area was average. There was barely any seafood but it tasted good. There was a large amount of kimchi served on the side with a side of rice. The cost was high considering the lack of ingredients in the soup. Ordering on the kiosk was fast and easy. Service was good as the workers were friendly and helpful.

I regularly stop in to pick up treats, drinks, produce like mushrooms and okra, and their poke and hot meal options. I also like their home goods sections with so many cool ramen bowls, sauce containers, and utensils. I'm always excited when I stop in when it's slower because I can take my time browsing. Whenever this happens I end up leaving with a lot more items. I appreciate that they carry a wide variety of items including some ingredients and items that are hard to find in the US and even at other Asian grocery stores. I've stopped into many different stores and I feel like Oto's has variety and quality at a great price. They do have their own parking, but be careful because it can be pretty tight and there's usually a good amount of cars coming in and out.

Oto's might be my favorite specialty grocery store in Sacramento.I dont go there often as it's not…read moreon my path home or even close to my work-in fact every time I have to go to Oto's I have to go out of my way to make a special trip-that may be why every visit there feels so great What do I love about Oto's-Let's see I generally never know exactly what I'm going to find when I go there-they are always changing up their stock-I know I can count on some great sauces for my home dishes-I know I can count on some new salty snacks from overseas every time I go there-I know that I will most likely find some new ramen flavor that I never ran into before-I know that I probably will find a Funko Pop that I wasn't expecting every time I go there-these are just a few things I love about Oto's.We won't even bring up their amazing fresh produce or their cold bar foods they offer on a daily basis-My mochi palette would not be nearly what it is today without all the great mochi products I've picked up at Oto's-it really is just a great place to shop and I'm happy every time I know I'm going to go there and every time I'm leaving-it's awesome. But none of those reasons are the real reason I truly love Oto's,let me tell you what I really love.....Late last year I decided I was going to learn how to make my favorite food in the world and that is sushi.I went ham,I got the knives I got the kits,I got the rice maker,I got all the seasonings but what I didn't have was a spot to pick up the highest level of fish that was needed to really make homemade sushi pop and that is where Oto's came in to save the day. Their daily "sushi-grade" tuna and salmon that they sell in the back of the store is so next level-even a novice like myself cannot mess up a homemade sushi meal. They have so much to offer at Oto's,all the different levels of salmon and tuna, depending on your budget but all of it is amazing. I will forever be indebted to Oto's for helping me raise my sushi game at home and making my wife think that I'm just the best sushi maker-when it was always just the high quality fish offered at Oto's that did the work-Thank You Oto's for that. In closing-if you ever find yourself in the Land Park area and want to see what all the hype is about at this incredible spot or maybe you just want to try your hand at some home sushi making,be sure to stop by Oto's Marketplace-it truly is a gem amongst gems. PS....Parking sucks here-no way around that one unless u get lucky or have a handicap placard-don't like the parking.

They have a lot of authentic Mediterranean, Indian, and Middle Eastern foods that remind me of home. They had a huge fresh meat selection with beef, chicken, lamb, and goat. They had a bakery which had the freshest NAAN, a must try!! They also have fresh hot food daily. I only had a chance to try a couple samosa from their kitchen, chicken, pita o & beef, all were great! Staff was welcoming and friendly. I'll definitely be a regular here and look forward to scanning through the aisles to see what I can add to kitchen pantry for all my future recipes.

I ordered the chicken shawarma and a beef samosa. The total was less than $13. There is also a seating area for you to enjoy your food. The shawarma is HUGE!! Enough to split between two people. The wrap that they use is made in house (so I'm assuming, since it tasted so fresh!) and is very soft and chewy in the best way. The chicken was not dry and also flavorful. The man who took my order and made my food asked me if I wanted my shawarma spicy, to which I said yes and he brought the heat!! He sliced the chicken from the vertical rotisserie and then sauteed it with peppers and onions before placing it into a wrap. The combination was so delicious and addicting to eat. I'm surprised not many more people know about this hidden gem inside the grocery store! The beef samosa was good. It had potatoes, ground beef, peas and spices wrapped in a flaky pastry. There is more potato than meat inside but it was a nice treat for $1.99. Service was great, the grocery store is extremely clean and organized. I'll definitely be coming back to try the other things on their menu and also to buy some pistachio ice cream.

Stopped by on Sunday May 10th, Mother's Day…read more The good: Bigger location than the ones I've been to. Pretty clean and organized. Seafood area smell was minimal, which was great. Normally when you come into an Asian store, the meat/seafood smells can get overwhelming. This was not the case with this location. Food court area looked spacious, bigger than I've seen in other 99 R locations. The bad: None that I can point out. The stupid: I had the 99 Ranch app and showed barcode to cashier to scan. She looked at it and said "tomorrow." I asked why. She just said "Not today, tomorrow." I'm like, we're here now, we don't need to come back tomorrow, we're not understanding. She called for a manager to come up. Manager came up, said the same thing. Very confused, made it a disappointing experience. Not sure if we want to come back to this location, it rubbed us the wrong way and thus, 3 stars. If I could, it would be 2.5 stars instead, but rating system doesn't give option to give half points, lol.

However, I was in the area for lunch the other day and decided to do some shopping here and was blown away by how clean and well-organized it is as well as the comprehensiveness of the store's offerings. At the entrance, my kids were captivated by the little games at the front lobby. Then there's the food court, it looks very yummy and the offerings of roasted chicken, ducks, pork and other meats look very enticing had we not just had a very full lunch, I would've definitely grabbed lunch here. There's also the hot food section w/classic "fast food" Chinese dishes like chow mein, fried rice, potstickers, etc. All of it looked pretty fresh and smelled delicious. A new to me section is the Grab and Go foods. I don't recall those in the past, but perhaps it's been available for awhile. So convenient! There's quite a few different choices to include baos, dumplings, chicken, and duck, and several kinds of other meats, all precooked and just need to be rewarmed to be Ready-to-Eat. Then, we walked to the meat section and it's very extensive, all kinds of beef, pork, poultry, fish, seafoods, of both fresh and frozen varieties. Next, there was the produce section with tons of Asian veggies and fruits, all looked quite fresh. The tofu section along in the cold case of the produce area was big, so many kinds to choose from and 99 Ranch even has their own store brand of tofu now, that's news to me. Finally, the rest of the store was filled with shelf-stabled pantry items from snacks like chips, cookies, crackers, packaged pastries, other candies and sweets, to dry ingredients for cooking like dried fungus, mushrooms, herbs, dried fruits (like dried dates for soups), and lots of sauces in jars. Canned Asian drinks and bags and boxed tea bags and tea powders were also widely available with an incredible selection to choose from. The store itself also houses several individual boutique stores to provide convenient services such as a travel agency, an internet and mobile phone store, a clothing store, a tea and TCM (traditional Chinese Medicine) type herbal store, and several different smaller restaurants (more like fast food cafes). As we finished shopping, we walked past the bakery. It was filled with all the yummy carbs you can imagine from sliced breads to bao's and buns to all kinds of custom and ready-made birthday and other special occasion cakes. Overall, I was really impressed by how much 99 Ranch can stock in their store and the sheer variety they offered of every kind of items. Service was friendly and helpful, staff are all busy stocking or helping customers check out, so mostly it's a self-service store, but if you were looking for something, a staff could be found to point the way. I'm glad I came in and saw all the things 99 Ranch offer now so when I'm looking for something specific I cannot find at SF Market or another grocery store, I'll come here and probably find it.
