It was a little quiet when no blow dryers were running, so everyone could hear others' conversations, lol. That's probably my only complaint, and it's a minor one. I was overcharged (I was charged for what I booked online but it was changed at the appointment, so it was an easy error -- not like someone did something wrong). I emailed after the appointment and they refunded me right away. Love this place!

After multiple balayages, highlights, trims, haircuts, and blowouts I think it's only fair I update my Yelp review :) Why I keep coming back: - Truly an artist! I'm always blown away by how well my color comes out every time. My balayages and highlights always blend so well into my natural hair. Even 3-4 months after I get my hair color my friends and co workers continue to compliment my hair! - She's honest! I absolutely appreciate Maria's honesty. I usually bring a few pictures as references for what I want my hair color or hair cut to be. She's quick to level set my expectations about how my hair will turn out. I have thick, dark hair and Maria always keeps it 100 with me- before she does anything she will explain how light my hair will actually go without frying it, damage to expect, and how a haircut I may want will turn out differently because of my hair texture. I would much rather have someone like Maria working on my hair than any hairstylist that will just do what I want when they know it won't look good. For the women that left reviews about how shocked they were with the prices... how do you not ask about prices before sitting in a hairstylists' chair?? Or even when you call to make an appointment? I don't understand. If you knew before hand you wouldn't be shocked. - Haircut/trim: ~$50 - Blowout: ~$25 - Partial Highlights: ~$150 - Balayage: $250+ (Prices are estimates because I have relatively long hair and it may differ for you depending on your hair length/texture). First, this isn't just a hair cut or a blowout, this feels like a deeply personal experience with someone passionate about her craft, her life, everything. To be in the same room is to be sucked into her obvious joy for everything she does. It's mesmerizing. I went in for a blowout and got great conversation, the best blowout I have literally ever had and a chance to feel some goodness in this mad world. It was amazing. Maria uses THE best products. She is one of the most talented people I have ever had do my hair. She washed, conditioned, cut and blow dried it and it was a masterpiece. If I lived in Atlanta I'd see her twice a week, no lie. Extremely Poor Experience - Please Read Before Booking…read more I found this salon through a Google search and decided to give it a try. From the moment I sat down with the stylist, Daniela, the experience went downhill. I explained that I previously had a bad salon experience that left my hair and scalp burnt, so it was very important to me that this visit went well. I even showed her two photos: one of my own hair with more highlights, and another of me with a honey-toned all‑over color--the exact look I wanted. Instead of being welcoming or reassuring, Daniela's initial comments were dismissive and made me uncomfortable as a new client. The owner was working right next to us the entire time and also came across as snobby and uninterested. When Daniela asked her for guidance about my hair, the owner barely engaged and showed no concern for whether my results would turn out correctly. As the appointment went on, it became clear that very little care was taken with my color--especially with toning and blending my roots. We were the last clients in the salon, and I could tell Daniela was rushing to finish. After 4 hours and over $400, my hair looked worse than when I walked in. The next day, I called and spoke with someone who claimed to be the manager. After reviewing the photos I sent, she repeatedly insisted that they "did not see any issues with the highlights." She even blamed the appearance on my hair being tied back, rather than acknowledging the obvious patchiness and unfinished color. They insisted I return to Daniela to fix it, but at that point I had completely lost trust. Please be aware: While the salon may look nice on the outside, not all stylists--or even the owner--seem committed to providing respectful, professional service. The lack of accountability, the dismissive attitude, and the poor-quality work resulted in a huge disappointment and a significant waste of money. If they can treat one customer this way, they can absolutely do it to someone else. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
