To accuse this family of anything racist is about as inaccurate as can possibly be. Current world circumstances have many people very understandably on edge, and it's heartbreaking, frightening, wrong and at times confusing to hear and read about what's happening all around all of us. Still, to even assume that racism lives at this business is to blame the wrong people, and I say that with pure conviction and certainty based on experience of them. In general, and I find this so important now... While holding a stance of believing in anyone's story about harm being done to them, one ought also consider assumptions as just that, "assumptions" when you don't know something with certainty. To go farther and publicly accuse, based on assumption, is a matter of real and lasting concern. People and businesses get wrongly hurt by this. If they are guilty based on certainty vs heresay, on truth vs assumption, that is one thing. But, the harm caused by indicting someone when one was not witness and by who was there wasn't sure what was happening? That is dishonorable and unconscionable. Please reconsider. At least first try to find out what happened vs be judge and jury with no validity. Otherwise, what you fear that is based in founded reality is what you too are cultivating. While I'm so sorry that so many are so unjustly, unfairly, wrongly and are being horribly targeted, please think twice before becoming the one who does the harming. read more

In the pursuit for bathrooms that are classy and comfortable we've returned to Nina's. Once again we were assisted by Darius. We've been in the market for upgrades for a while and like I said in a previous review this is a place that I would return to and suggest. We purchased 2 shower heads (with attachments) and went in with the confidence that we would get what we wanted and needed. The assortment of products and knowledge of Darius enabled us to stop the quest of a somewhat difficult process involved in selecting items that not only look good but perform well when in use. I look forward to receiving the items that we chose and using them for years to come. We laughed about the experience that we had during our last visit because we talked about the story that I'd written in my last review. I was appalled by how poor, simply negligent, the customer care was from both of these business'. But David was so helpful that we ended up buying all of our kitchen and bath pieces from Nina's. David offered an honest assessment of brands and made suggestions on what kinds of " upgrades" we could consider and what is not necessary. He was up front about pricing and was great working within our budget. We just moved into our home and the building/designing process would have been much more painful were it not for David and the rest of the wonderful crew at Nina's! The process took over a year and David was so patient and insightful every step of the way. My father is a contractor and sister is an architect and they both initially referred me to two different local, popular competitors who I was not thrilled about due to their lack of attention to detail and customer service. A friend of ours had just finished building his house and they had nothing but high praise for David and Nina's. So we met with David and never thought about going anywhere else after. We initially went there for bath faucets but when it was all said and done, we purchased all of our bathroom finishes (sinks, handles, knobs, shower heads, bath sprays, etc), kitchen/bar finishes, door handles and locks from Nina's. My father and sister specialize in high end homes and after seeing the quality of products and level of customer service at Nina's, they have both switched over to making their purchases from there. There's free parking in the back and if you plan to spend a lot of time in the store asking questions, it may be best to make an appointment since it can be busy at times. We recently came in to remodel our kitchen to an updated modern style. The sales person dave helped us coordinate an amazing stainless steel sink with fixtures that are going to match with our stainless appliances. We've been dreaming of this remodel for many years but thought the process would be overwhelming. To say Nina is the best in the business is an understatement! I was directed to Nina by both my architect and my contractor and boy am I thankful! I needed to purchase everything from hardware to sinks, tubs, etc. for a 6000+sqft home. I had no idea where to start but Nina guided me and held my hand through every step. She spent HOURS with me teaching me about different brands, which was better for my family (two kids under 3), and what luxuries my husband and I may want. I was never worried I was in good hands, and Nina was always available for me - of course, I made sure I made an appt because Nina is high in demand. She received all the product into her store, inventoried it, and then made sure it was correct before calling us for pickup. Everything came on time, and if it was delayed she was the first to be on the phone with the manufacturer to track it down. We even had issues with kitchen drains that were defective and she made sure to send photos to the manufacturer and get replacements for us. Nina was invaluable to us - doing a rebuild while I was 8 months pregnant and continuing to finish with a 3 month old and a 3 year old. I would recommend her over and over again. I was helping a buddy of mine remodel his bathroom a few weeks ago. We were doing this on our own, and it was the first time either of us had embarked on a project like this. We were having lunch in Brentwood when we spotted Nina's Kitchen Bath & Hardware. Don't let its size fool you. Although not quite as large in size as other big-box-all-you-can-eat places, the store has a large variety of really nice and modern hardware and bathroom fixtures. We explained to Nina that we had no experience doing something like this and Nina and her staff were nothing but helpful and kind to us. In January of 2010, I decided to remodel the kitchen and two bathrooms in my condo. After spending many frustrating hours doing my online research and more hours driving to Home Depot, Lowes, OSH, etc., looking for fixtures and hardware (sinks, faucets, towel bars, etc.) I mentioned to a friend that I just wasn't finding what I wanted. He recommended Nina's Kitchen, Bath & Hardware. Well, I can tell you that going to Nina's was one of the best decisions I made during the entire remodel. Nina was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, professional and most importantly, she listened to me. I told her that I lived in a modest condo, wanted good quality products, but did not want to spend the rest of my life paying for them. She sat me down and we talked about my taste, what I was trying to accomplish and most importantly my budget. She was so thoughtful and understanding that I felt like I was working with a good friend. And everyone who works there has the same professionalism. Obviously, Nina sets the tone for the store and it shows. So, why am I writing this four and a half years later? Because, at Nina's, good customer service doesn't end when you pay for your products. I was having trouble with the soap dispenser in my kitchen sink. It would get stuck when I tried to pump it for soap and when it did finally work, soap would ooze out the top of the unit. What to do? I decided to email Nina. I explained my problem and attached photos. She responded within 24 hours and told me that there was a new style replacement for the pump assembly and that the manufacturer would be sending it to me ASAP. What good luck! I thanked her and that was that. The manufacturer sent the replacement parts for the pump and I installed them as per their instructions. However, it did not fix the problem. The pump still leaked and oozed soap. I was frustrated. I emailed Nina again, and told her that it looked like I was going to have to buy a new one and what did she suggest. Nina answered my email that same day and informed me that the manufacturer would be sending me a new head, which is essentially a new unit, minus the soap bottle. Boy, was I surprised. She also gave me a tip for helping to avoid clogging in any soap dispenser - dilute the liquid soap a little. Good tip. The new unit came the other day. I installed it and it is working just fine. Thank you, Nina. Needless to say, I highly recommend Nina's Kitchen, Bath & Hardware. Need I say more? I think not. read more
