Crab was cooked perfect and came out nice and clean (can't say that about other crab spots in the area)..The place was not super busy but we were glad about that.. we came in about an hour before closing.. Lily took care of us and she was great! So sweet and friendly ! We ordered "hot" for our boil, we did ask for our bag to be sent back for a little more spice:: and they did add the "super hot" which was still great flavor, just not super spicy compared to other crab boil spots we have been to. But the flavor was very very good and still had the spicy .. but now we do know we can even go up a level which we will do the next time we come back! The entire place was really clean! The one suggestion I would make is that they do need better napkins.. like paper towels because they just give basic small napkins and it isn't nearly enough. Other than that.. loved it ! Phonie is the best ever! I come here just for her service. The service is excellent here my cup is always topped off and the "table touch" at least once every 15 minuets. The ambience is cozy, but yet feels large. The music in the background is not too loud or blaring. It's almost like white noise to where you could enjoy your conversations. The lady that was serving us was so sweet and kind. She recommended us the snow crab with shrimp and her recommendation was spot on best seafood I've ever tried and the wait wasn't long. We were often checked up on and had refills whenever we ran low. A nice feature about the restaurant is that it had an easy accessible sink nearby to wash your hands after you eat. My Stepson wanted King Crab legs. Our go to is normally Boiling Crab. However, last time it was sub par and expensive! So I came to Yelp for help. Well, Yelp did not let me down this time. This place is DELICIOUS! The King Crab was meaty! We ordered the Duo Combo which is King Crab, Shrimp, Corn and Sausage all under $85!!! We also added a LB of Naked Shrimp (peeled and deveined) and a LB of Clams. The Naked Shrimp were big and the Clams were probably hands down the best Clams I have ever had! They were super meaty and the Bucket Medley Sauce just puts it over the edge. The sauce was so good that I was literally drinking it! My boyfriend does not do well with spice so we ordered the sauce mild. It had a kick to it ( according to my step son and boyfriend; they're white) but I didn't think so ( But I'm used to spice; for context I'm Asian and Mexican). The Cajun Fries were so crispy and well seasoned. They arrived nice and hot. Fountain Drinks are refillable. They also gave each of us a small cup of pineapple ice cream for dessert! It was refreshing and cleansed the palette. This place is in a mini mall type plaza. There was plenty of parking. The restaurant itself, was very clean and decorated like most crab boil places. They had great music that wasn't too loud so you can talk like a normal person and not have to yell to have a conversation. The Service was amazing! We were instantly greeted when we walked in with a friendly Hello and smiles. They were happy to have us and quickly sat us. The food came out quick and was hot. They came around every few minutes or so to check on us and to refill our drinks. This place was a great experience. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a good hearty seafood meal. This is probably the best value you can get for your money. Definitely cheaper than anything we have in the Bay Area! We were randomly craving a seafood boil, and found this spot not too far from our hotel. We ordered the Dungy combo 1 which comes with 1 lb of shrimp, 1lb of clam, and 1 WHOLE dungeness crab. It also comes with 2 corns, potatoes, and several pieces of andouille sausage, so there's no need to add these on unless you want extra. The whole shebang was about 80 dollars and so worth it for two people! There are several other flavors to choose from, but we went with the original cajun with mild spice. I thought this was a great option, especially for someone who'd never been to The Bucket before. Next time though, I think I'll try something else! In terms of the seafood, I thought everything was pretty 'fresh'. There were a few clams that weren't opened (which, growing up, I was always told by my parents meant that the clams weren't fresh) but otherwise, the shrimp was juicy and the crab was quite meaty and sweet. I assumed that most of their seafood had been delivered frozen, but regardless, things didn't taste like they'd been sitting in the freezer for long. We also ordered the cajun fries, which are 100% worth it for the extra calories. I, later on, found out from my SO that it's just regular fries with Old Bay Seasoning and maybe a few other spices. The food is somewhat okay. It's local and easy to navigate. However, the food is over priced and soft like it's been in the pot all day. And probably all night. I ordered a pound of snow crab and a water. Before my food came a roach crawled on the side of me. I was sitting right next to the kitchen. My server removed the roach. I continued to wait for my food and began to eat. I then saw a 2nd roach in which my server had to remove it again. I was disgusted. The food is amazing 10/10 but the service isn't. I come here quite often and I usually tip at the end of the service but the one time I didn't the following times I went the service was horrible. When we walked in the servers looked at us and instantly talked talking about us. They checked up on every table but ours they completely ignored us, no refill no nothing just a check. She came back I didn't get acknowledged she was setting up a table it was already 3:14 I asked her if she could take my order she responded yes could you wait in a rudely manner. I'm a server my self and I've been working in the food industry for more than 10 years as a server it doesn't take you more than five minutes start of the client with drinks and get appetizers going. Once she came to take my order I order 1 pound of whole shrimp bucket medley added potatoes and side of cajun fries. I asked her if she had bottled water she said no once again in a rudely manner I had my own bottle water but like I said I work in the food industry so I was trying to consume, I asked her what drinks do you have she responded the menu says what we have in a rudely manner. That's not good customer service as am paying for my food and I'm tipping out I don't want to consume from a place that's giving me that treatment. This place is my all time favorite seafood boil place!! I found this gem late one night when I was craving crab and I'm so happy my husband and I found it. They have so much variety. We love the crawfish & crab! Of course can't forget to add shrimp. Our favorite is 2 pounds of crawfish 1 pound of shrimp with sausage & 1 pound of crab( separate bag tho) Flavor go to is the bucket medley !! mild spice( perfect). An honorable mention appetizer is fried calamari (recommend) so crispy it's perfect. Sooo delicious and the size of crawfish is freaking awesome too. Now service is always amazing with Peonie, she actually showed us how to eat crawfish properly the first time we ever came here. Service is good, very friendly and always kind when ordering over the phone or in person. Place is small, but they can usually seat you right away depending on how big your party is. So I have to give this place 2 stars ,I only came because I saw the reviews and I had to come and give an honest opinion on there food and tbh lot of these reviews are not true and speak very little detail about the food so service was okay kinda due to the lady not able to give me specific details on the way they make there sauce so I ordered 1lb of naked shrimp and 1lb of New Zealand mussels with garlic butter and lemon pepper when I got the bag I already noticed the sauce was a powder base because it tasted heavy like tomato so I ask the lady how they make it and I was right they use a powder instead of making there own sauce because there was no bits of garlic or even the slightest taste of lemon pepper and the sauce was to thick , she said there was fresh butter in it but fresh butter and pre mix powder doesn't mix well together personally if they want to gain more business I recommend making your sauces fresh and from scratch this was my first and last time I give there food a 4/10 there limes were good not dry but over all the sauce was way off and didn't taste anything like garlic butter or lemon pepper that tomato scent and taste over power it I felt like I was eating sea food in tomato sauce with garlic seasoning not fresh garlic and if they did add fresh butter it was a bad choice because the pre package powder they mix already comes with salt , hope you guys step it up with y'all sauce I couldn't even finish my food because the sauce just wasn't great even my daughter didn't finished it because she started to taste the tomato spice in it , the shrimp was cooked good and the mussels too but the sauce just ruined it the way the prepare it I still paid for my food and left a tip read more
