I came in on a Saturday to buy 3 banh mi because there was a sign on the door advertising a buy 2, get 1 free banh mi deal, 7 days of the week. When I got to the register, one of the workers (she seemed like the owner?) told me the promo only applied on weekdays. I was surprised since the sign clearly said 7 days a week, but I didn't want to argue, so I just paid. Later, when I came to pick up my food, I spoke with another employee, who offered me an iced green Thai tea to make up for the misunderstanding. While I appreciated the gesture, it didn't really address the issue. If the advertisement was posted in error, just acknowledge the mistake and honor what's being advertised, or correct the signage asap. Customers shouldn't be told 2 different things. I really liked: Shaken Swai Fish I did not like: Pho House Special Garlic Noodle Tried Pho Akaushi & Seafood in Anaheim and it was a mixed experience. The Shaken Swai Fish is definitely the highlight. It has a nice crispiness and carries a lot of flavor. Sometimes the sauce adds a pleasant touch of sweetness which makes it even better. Pho House Special is unfortunately below average. The noodles are fine but there really is not much meat in the broth. Overall it felt lacking and did not stand out in any way. Garlic Noodle is pretty mediocre. The flavor is quite bland and some parts tasted stale which made the bowl inconsistent. Definitely not something I would order again. The plates came out in a decent amount of time and the restaurant is relatively clean. Prices felt slightly higher than average for what you get. I've been to this place when it was something else before. Every time I've passed by it's never busy and today was no exception. There was one couple there and what seemed like the partner of one of the employees. There was one lady cooking and an older man that was cooking/serving/cashier. The man gave me a menu and didn't come back for about 10 mins. I was already ready for the 2 star review lol. I ordered garlic noodles and the man recommended pork over chicken. I ate it at home and Boom +2 stars. The garlic noodles at S Factory are too strong and the ones at Nguyens Kitchen are too weak. Goldilocks found the perfect ones! I think I've found my go-to pho place in Anaheim! Their shrimp pho & spring rolls are good! I like that they de-veined the shrimp in the pho, which many other places don't do, so I appreciate it! The flavor of the soup is good! I'm glad I found this place near my home, so I don't have to drive all the way to Westminster/Garden Grove for some authentic Vietnamese pho. We've been here a couple times and we really like it. It's a small place, but with a good amount of seating and the service is spot on. I got the rare beef pho both times and while the meat quality was a little different both time it was still delicious. The broth is clean and light yet still comforting and filling. They also really give you a nice portion of both meat and noodles, along with all the pho fixings. The quality of the meat my second time here was just a little more fatty and chewy than the first time, but it still holds up. And while we haven't had the cajun seafood part of the menu here, the pho is really delicious and worth a try. On a more detailed note, I really like their cup ware for their water here. It is just plastic cups, but I really liked them and they kept the water pretty cold even next to my hot pho. My boyfriend also got hot tea from here one time and they gave him a unique mug that looked like it had a screw cap that went with it, but it wasn't included. Just thought that was unique and I liked that about this place. Overall, the pho is my favorite here and we've enjoyed our meals here. read more

We ordered to-go and got some egg rolls, spring roll and the wagyu house special. Little bit pricey but it's because their meat is wagyu. Place is clean and elegant. I think this location has a lot of opportunity, but the foot traffic is tough. Every time I come to this plaza the restaurants are pretty slow, but when I eat here the service is always nice and friendly. From when I first visited to my last visit, there's been some changes (bowl presentation, price increase and taste), it's gone mediocre. The pho itself taste okay (sometimes a little sweet), but just okay. Hope this Akaushi location does better, since it's a local pho spot around me, but I'm just iffy on how long it'll last here. read more

I have to commend this place for handling a blunder well. My boyfriend and I had come in a couple of weeks ago due to the rainy weather. We both had ordered a rib bone pho. I'm not sure what the server heard but we got one of their specials instead and at first were too polite to say anything. Mind you we have gone to another pho spot where I did order rib meat and there was no bone! We asked about it and to be honest there was upset-- it was an honest mistake all around. I did not forget to leave this review. Their quality of pho was delicious and deserves a 5. Being able to have the bone we wanted was so satisfying and their other meat was good but the bone was what we wanted. I love when I can use my chopsticks to take pieces without force. So happy that they opened this new location! I first tried Pho Akaushi at their Lake Forest location, and have been a fan ever since. The quality here is a tier above your typical pho restaurants. You can taste the love and attention to detail they put into the broth. I've tried most of the popular spots in the OC (pho 79, phoholic, pho 45, pho flavor, etc.) and Akaushi might be my favorite. The service is great as well. Tom, one of the owners, is always so friendly and welcoming. He and his partner also offer Cajun seafood as part of their menu which looked pretty tasty too. Was craving some pho and stumbled upon this place! Really didn't know what to expect cause the menu was Vietnamese + cajun, interesting combination of a menu but the pho did not disappoint! Broth really hit the spot and the beef (I got rare and husband got house special) was tender plus a good amount. My only gripe was that it was on the pricier side for pho considering there was only one size and it looked like the small bowls at other pho places. solid, solid place. the beef was incredible -- i have never had pho with such tender, quality beef before. only later did i learn it was wagyu; this makes total sense. i'm salivating thinking about the beef alone. i'm docking a star because i felt the portion size was small, even smaller than the "small" size that you might expect at a standard pho restaurant. perhaps this is to compensate for the cost of serving wagyu. i would prefer if prices were a little higher in exchange for a larger bowl of soup, or at least the option to upgrade to a larger bowl or add extra beef. as a broth lover, i wanted more! read more
