Decided to eat dinner at about 7:00 on a Saturday. Was fairly busy. To my surprise we were sat very quickly. I ordered the ribeye steak and my wife ordered the willy burrito. Both were cooked on point. Being on first street Benicia you would think you would be paying high prices for everything. Went there recently for Taco Tuesday and it was such a great experience. I got carnitas tacos ($2 each) and an elote (street corn) both were super delicious! They have $5 margaritas on Tuesday and even the drinks were yummy. There was lots of flavor in the food plus the customer service was exceptional. Everyone was extremely friendly and attentive. Came for dinner on a Friday night and tried several tacos, the elote, and the patatas carnitas. The elote was a miss (too much lime and the quality of corn was lacking in my opinion) but everything else was great. We devoured the patatas carnitas which was basically nacho toppings and carnitas meat over French fries. I had the carne asada street taco and bwaha fish tacos and found them to both be delicious. My husband also tried the carnitas and chicken street tacos and said the same. Great pricing. Will definitely be back but not for the corn. read more

Been here twice with my wife. Breakfast is on point and everything was good and service was excellent. Avocados were perfectly ripe and eggs cooked perfectly. I came here with 2 friends that have been here numerous times. We met up for breakfast. I ordered the french toast with scrambled eggs and sausage. The french toast had really good flavor; the toast itself wasn't hot or warm though. My scrambled eggs were really moist (which I love) and the sausage was your standard sausage. One friend had the eggs benedict, the other had the breakfast burrito. Both loved their dishes, particularly the chorizo. We had to wait for quite a while for our food, but we didn't mind. We ate outside in front of the restaurant, the weather was warm with a nice slight cool breeze. Overall, I liked the food and will definitely go back to try other dishes. I grew up in Benicia and enjoying a nice relaxing Sunday breakfast with friends was a great way to spend the morning =) read more

Oh my gosh!! So for those who don't know 907 is now NINE ZERO SEVEN, how chic. Me and my mom came in on Thursday night for dinner, place was packed (yay) so we decided to sit at the bar. We were warmly greeted by their bartender Jackie. I asked about Moscow mule options and they informed me they had 3! (One with bacon syrup btw omg) decided to stick to the classic to get my feet wet. Cocktail was great, after a couple I decided to order a cactus cooler shooter that she hadn't made before but it turned out amazing! Later on another bartender named Amber came in and took our order. You could tell she was new and training but she did such a great job that I only knew due to over hearing the bartender's convo. I think this is the first time I have ever written a one star review. It is my firm belief that in business it isn't 'if' things can go wrong, it's 'when'. The most important part is what happens next... My visit to Nine O Seven was with a long time customer of Randy's. (It was also about two years ago...I just found this unfinished in my Yelp reviews) We went for Sunday brunch and it was the worst experience ever. The order was wrong, when it was finally corrected it was delivered cold...even then parts remained missing. You get to the point where you just...want to be done. After, instead of writing a crappy review I contacted the restaurant. I tried to get help that day...but that didn't work. When I was responded to it was by Larry himself who informed me he had just watched my entire dining experience on his security cameras and gave me a time stamp play by play of his interpretation of what happened. Of course there was no sound...but he told me I should be OVERWHELMED by his staff since I had five different people at my table. Well, that is the problem. I had FIVE different people. Nobody took responsibility...we waited to have our order taken...waited for the food...it was dropped off, no one checked on us...we had to grab people to help. The bottom line is this...it was horrible service, the food terrible and his response bordered on creepy. Then he asked for my address...to send me a coupon. Yeah...no. I've been here a couple times where the service was a lot better. The food is always really good. My favorite is the CA Benedict! So my girls and I came here for breakfast over the weekend. we were exhausted from wedding DIY projects. We needed a break! So we were seated in the back patio where we like going. Ashely was our server. We weren't offered the complimentary coffee that's unlimited before 11. And YES we were there before 11! USUALLY our water was given to us immediately and USUALLY was asked if we wanted anything else to drink besides water. Which Ashely asked us later when we've ordered our food. When each of us received our food. One of my girls ordered a veggie omelette and add sausage and bacon. My other gf asked if she could have an extra plate so she can take my other friends potatoes. Ashley said we would get charged for the plate! UM WHAT?!? Just for a clean plate.. We're not asking for another order just a plate to take her portion! IDIOT!!! Then she figured it out and said ohhh sorry that's not what you meant. We all received our order except that our gf who ordered the veggie omelette got a all meat omelette! We told Ashley and took too long to get the side of veggies to get to the table. We have all ate our meals and she just went ahead and ate her meal, couldn't wait any longer her food was getting cold. We all thought the proper thing to do was for them to comp her meal because they got everything wrong, the veggies never came out! She had a stank attitude about it and tried to say she can do half off and did a shrug and said "weeell she ate it" and of course we all had something to say like "well of course she ate it.. She's hungry!" "She waited long enough" "she didn't order a meat omelette" "she ordered a veggie omelette"!! Haha I think she got flustered and said okay we can go ahead and comp her meal! Trust me we all can afford a dang meal. That wasn't the point! So here's a tip for servers or any kind of customer service. If you want a good tip make sure to leave your bad attitude and issues at home. When you come to work. Turn that frown upside down and make sure to put up a smile! Yes we might of looked pretty ratchet that day... Young messy haired, glue everywhere, dust, old makeup on, I'm pretty sure we stank, had yarn fuzz all over us. HEED THIS WARNING! for your own sake please do not go to this awful establishment. They say that half of a business is the costumer service, right? So the other half is the quality of its service it provides. Nine 0 Seven Grill does not fulfill EITHER of these categories. First, I've tasted most of the dishes on their menu and every single one has been MEDIOCRE if not down right awful. Second, all the staff that i've dealt with are rude and inconsiderate, let me tell you a story I have from Nine 0 Seven Grill. This morning me and my mother went here for lunch, and while my mothers purse was hanging off her chair somebody (I wouldn't be surprised if it was the B*tch of a waitress we had) stole her wallet. So when the check came and my mother searched frantically for her wallet (we know it was stolen because my mom had gone through it when we first sat down) after we discovered it had been stolen our waitress said in a rude tone "Well then how are you gonna pay." My mom said she was going to go cancel her credit cards then get out some cash. This woman was inconsiderate and had ZERO sympathy for my dear mother who had just gotten her wallet stolen. She said it wasn't her problem and that she needs all my moms info. Because my mom didn't want to cause a scene she politely did as this rude waitress asked and we came back and payed. My mom handed her the money and she didn't even thank us or apologize for all the trouble we went through that afternoon. The bottom line; Randy (The owner) should have picked another industry to start a business in, because he CLEARLY does not know how to run/operate a PROPER restaurant. Please save your time and money and go to Benicia Grill, they actually know how to make a good meal and the staff is wonderful. read more

Went for breakfast at the suggestion of a local. My wife simply asked the waitress (little short girl) if she would be able to get a BLT. The waitress very coldly, with no smile, said NO and walked away. So did we. I hate to play the race card but we were the only African Americans in there. So it felt really, well, ugly. I've tried this place twice and I would never go back. It seems as if they are afraid of using spices because there was a serious lack of them in my tortilla soup! The chicken sandwich I had was inedible for the most part because it was far too pink. FYI: If you cook your chicken pink, warn the customers because chicken shouldn't be done rare. And also, both times I've gone I have only gotten the bits and pieces of the french fries. There was zero seasoning on the chicken which isn't that hard to do. Salt and pepper people. For there not being a whole lot of people in the establishment, the service took far too long. From a customer standpoint, I would rather not see the waitresses having lunch out in front and folding up all the silverware quiet loudly. And finally, CLEAN YOUR RESTAURANT. I have never seen so much dust built up on the fan!!! And the lamps and just covered in dust. My wife, her mom, and I dinner at the Nine 0 Seven. My daughter had dined there, as had our neighbors, and both gave it favorable reviews, which made this experience all the more disappointing. It started off by the waitress giving my wife and I dinner menus and my mother-in-law getting a breakfast menu (at 7:00 p.m.). OK, a slight oversight. My wife ordered the Caesar salad with chicken, her mom opted for a quesadilla, and decided to go for the rib eye. It seemed like a longer than usual time for our dinner to arrive, but it did finally show up. My wife was pleased with her salad and her mom had no complaints about her quesadilla. My rib eye, however, looked a lot like a NY strip, the vegetables were gray and wilted, and my baked potato was so cool and uncooked that the sour cream, cheese, bacon and butter (none of which I asked for had congealed into an artery-clogging blob. I cut my steak and took a bite just to verify my suspicions that it was indeed a NY strip and not a rib eye and I was right. When the waitress came by to ask how our meal was I said "I thought I had ordered the rib eye. This looks and tastes like a NY strip." She apologized and said she double-check. She came and said this was indeed a rib eye, just a different type. That really pissed me off, I've been cooking and cutting meat since I could stand. I know my way around a kitchen. The texture of this meat was in no way a rib eye. Even my wife and her mom said, "that's a strip." The waitress, to her credit, said she check with manager and came back and said my meal would be taken off the check. I few minutes later another waitress (maybe the manager came by) and asked her how the meal was. I told her very disappointing. I gut the wrong cut of meat, my bake potato was stone cold and the vegetables looked like last night's leftovers. She also apologized and offer to give me something else, but by then I just wanted to get home. I give them credit for deducting the cost of the meal, but I was disappointed with the entire experience. I don't like being told that the NY strip on my plate is actually a rib eye. Just fess up. Also, those vegetables were awful. I seen better veggies out of a can on Diego Garcia. My wife and her mom were pleased with their meals so I guess the evening wasn't a total loss. Would we go back? A definite maybe. There aren't a lot of choices in Benicia, so we'll probably give it another shot. read more

I've never walked out before getting food before but this place was an aweful experience from dirty dishes to hostile service. The first cup had fresh lipstick and then they replaced it with a second cup with food gunk around the mouth of the cup! Do they not have a dishwasher!? The waitress had a nasty attitude and acted like they really don't have the time of day for customers. She didn't appreciate me simply asking what was the more popular item. She sneered that nothing would be on the menu if it weren't popular. No wonder there was hardly anyone in there. The food was ok. The service was horrible. It was just my son and I at a table and it was like we were invisible. I had to ask a server to take our order because we just sat there for 10 minutes and no one came around to us. The table on the left of us had their server come by and asked a few times how things were and if they needed anything. The table on the right had their server ask the same questions a couple times. We were served our food and no one ever came back to ask us how we were. The icing on the cake though was when Randy himself came out from the kitchen and made his rounds. And now for a review from someone who doesn't know Randy. Nice place. Decent interior. They need to clean up the back patio a bit. Sandwiches are pretty good. A little under-seasoned but the chicken picks up the charbroiled flavor nicely. Decent cuts of meat. Not many things I've tried (5-6 different dishes) had any spark. Angel wings are probably the most (only?) unique thing on the menu. The deep fried whatsitcalled sandwich with turkey or whatever would be much better without powdered sugar, and if the turkey were actually warm, but that may be how they make it in wherever. Burner's burger was so many orders of magnitude better it brings a tear to my eyes just thinking about it. It's amazing what spices and sauces not made by Heinz can do. But alas, that's why stoners should not run restaurants. Still, a spot to go, or else I wouldn't have gone there. P.S. Cut your bacon, you slackers. read more

As a previous review mentioned, the decor is incongruous with a cash only breakfast and lunch place. Didn't appreciate my bill being slapped down on the table along with my entree'. Watched my sweat potato french fries sit in the pass window for a very long time and finally asked the waitress to give them to us while we waited for the rest of our food. The wait staff was very friendly but the owner kept walking back and forth in the dinning room with out chatting or greeting customers which was noticeably odd. The over all dinning experience was very uneven which I found surprising considering this is not this owners' first restaurant. Since there are so many other good dinning options available Randy is going to have to do better at the 907 to be very competitive. read more

Sadly, because it has cute decor and we all know we need more good dining options in town. I am typically not hard to please, I love to eat, and have rarely had to write a review of this nature. We visited for lunch, so maybe dinner is better? My friend had the tortilla soup, which she said was "average". I don't eat meat, and was surprised to find there wasn't a single vegetarian option on the menu. Come on, this is 2012... at least give me a veggie burger or veggie sandwich option. All of the salads even have meat. I ordered the Greek Salad without bacon, and it was drenched in dressing I couldn't even eat it. Everything else on the menu just seemed average, and to stay in business in this town you need something interesting. The portions seemed to be big, so maybe that is the draw? My family and I have been coming here for years, this is definitely our favorite spot! Typically 1-2 times a week. They recently did a remodel and Menu update, and we love it! Randy, Anne Marie and all the staff are the best! I love that they have many different options on the menu and with a family of 4 we need options!
