We did not eat here, not by choice. We sat down for brunch and put in our order. Little did we know that our server would disappear and others that were sat after us would receive their orders before us. We originally stumbled upon this spot and it was amazing. The owner being present, and catering to new patrons, the service was attentive and personal and the food was fantastic. After the experience today, 2/11/2018, all I can say is that the service is lacking. No one gives a fuck. We were sat quickly. The orders we placed were incredibly simple. I had the breakfast burrito, she had two eggs with toast. 45minutes go by and the two parties of three or more get there food faster then our two top. Yummy food, friendly service, and nice atmosphere! The posole (traditional soup from Mexico) was unexpectedly amazing -- REALLY flavorful broth. (Wish they gave a little more of the broth in fact and the bowl was jammed pack with hominy). The turkey BLT and onion rings were also a cut above. In fact, seeing the onion rings being served to people outside was what drew us into the restaurant. The onion rings didn't disappoint -- there were crunchy, flavorful, not greasy, and with just the right amount of batter. Definitely look forward to returning to Nine O Seven Grill. read more

We've eaten here twice n the past week. La Bomba Cali Burritto was a hit both times (San Diego style with French fries) And, the Wimpy Burger with a vegetarian patty was THE BEST veggie burger I've had in recent memory. They have a full bar, reasonably priced beer & wine and a super chill vibe. We brought cards & played games & had a great time. Definitely will be back. Thanks 907!! read more

It's changed since the pandemic and unfortunately not for the better. Looks like new owners and new menu. Cleanliness went really down hill. Went to sit outside on the patio and was sat next to a random toilet plunger laying on the ground. Not a good sign. Moved indoors and it was unusually warm inside with flies at the new table. Ordered a soda and drank 1/4 of it before finding a very long dark hair in it. Decided to get a water instead and there was nats in both water glasses. Our group ordered an appetizer and lunch but it was not good. The waitress was super nice and to not offend we decided to move food around the plates to make it look like we ate. After arriving home shortly after we all fell ill at the same time and lasted 2 days. I think it was a bad ceveche appetizer. Went here on a taco Tuesday with my fiance. We decided to give it try, besides reading mixed reviews. Ambiance was grim! There was only one other couple inside waiting for food. Service was whatever, what I mean is there was NO Welcome to our establishment friendly type vibe. We almost walked out but decided to try something from the taco tuesday specials. We ordered 1 baha taco , 2 carnitas taco and a couple of beers. Half way through us waiting for our 3 tacos we finally got chips and salsa with a half ass apology. Salsa was overly spicy and the chips had a card board weird taste. We finally got our food and my baha taco was the saddest taco ever!! I Lived in SD, So I know real mexican food and I know what a real baha taco should be! Fish was bland, cabbage tasted like it had not been washed and the sauce, I cant even describe because it had no taste. My fiances carnitas tacos were drenched in red sauce, there was more red sauce than carnitas. The red sauce was so spicy he couldnt even taste the meat. Do not eat here ! We came for tacos during the Peddlers fair . Customer service is a Zero ! We asked if we can used the restroom they said only if you order . We ordered tacos and asked for a fork and she rudely said no because we are eating tacos and we don't need a fork! Little did she know I just wanted the meat not the tortilla. Just the way the owner said it was so rude . I also encountered the same service at the Southampton restaurant. I heard she owns that one too. The new nine zero seven is not even remotely comparable to the original! I'm so disappointed in the complete disregard and effort to serve decent fresh restaurant quality food. I wanted so badly to support the reopening of one of my favorite restaurants but sadly I cannot. We all work hard for our money and when we choose to spend it at local places of business we expect good service and good food. Not only was the service terrible, the food was extremely bad, in fact it was disgusting! It was the lowest of (non) quality, cheapest ingredients possible, yet still charging the same prices as the previous owner. Neither of us could even eat our food it was so bad. Bad bad! I was tempted to ask for my money back that's how upset I was but choose to just pay and get out of there as quickly as I could. Let me give you an example of how bad it was...... Most of us are familiar with grocery store bought Gordon's frozen fish filet and know of the stamped signature shape, pretty much exactly the same uniform shape in every box and that very specific taste. No joke my fish taco comes out with a Gordon's fish filet on it!! I mean come on!!!! I could not believe it!!! I took two bites and that was enough for me. Bottom line, this food isn't made by a chef or a person who cares about quality of ingredients or taste for that matter. This place offers thrown together careless processed cheap food that someone barley heated up. It's insulting to charge what this place charges and take our hard earned money with such carelessness! To the owners, invest in a REAL qualified and trained chef with real recipes and invest in quality FRESH ingredients or you will never make it. I hope you listen and I hope you make the changes because overall I want to see you succeed! read more

This is a revised review! I ate here several years ago and was disappointed with the food and service, but after reading an article about how things were revamped here, me and my husband decided to try it one more time (just in case)! We are so happy we did! The food was amazing, our waiter was AWESOME, and so were the other staff. They do have vegetarian options and we're fine customizing my breakfast, the food was absolutely delicious (I had the huevos rancheros) The hosts really made sure we were comfortable, they all work so well together here, definitely a good team effort. We are so glad we came back and are excited to have a new place to enjoy a meal together. The ambiance is great, they really spruced it up WELL. Definitely coming back. read more

We have walked by this restaurant for two years and finally had dinner there tonight. Josh was the BEST server we have encountered a in a long time. I am a flight attendant for a major airline and know a thing or two about customer service and Josh has it nailed! The "angel wings" (pork shank covered in a sweet chili sauce we're out of this world! They have a full bar (with a couple of delicious cocktails on tap), a nice patio outback with heaters as well as tables out front and nice ambiance inside. Their ribeye steaks were cooked to perfection with that nice grilled flavor. We can't wait to go back to try their burgers, tacos, Sunday brunch etc. Nine Zero Seven Grill is my new favorite "go to" place! Thank you for hiring such amazing people like Josh! We will be back tomorrow for lunch! This restaurant still doesn't disappoint! We were so excited to see our favorite server, Taylor L. whom we see at another local establishment where she also works. Ultimately the food is just terrible and the ingredients are cheep. The salad must come straight from a bag, the tomatoes are the lowest quality produce. My daughter ordered milk and it was spoiled. My wife got a burger and the meat was cold in the middle, yet cooked through and mushy. The manager did come out and apologize for the burger and offered her something else (which she declined). Service - I arrived with 2 friends at 1 pm for lunch. There were 3 or 4 waitresses who made eye contact with me but all were apparently too busy to worry about seating us right away. I was kind of awkward standing there for 3 or 4 minutes. Even the patrons sitting at the tables were looking at us like..."WTF?" Apparently each waitress was hoping another waitress would seat us. Food: turkey sandwich was decent. Cole slaw was good. The Ruben sandwich was atrocious. Was the person who put itheir together blind? In side was one huge slab of gristly, fat! Couldn't believe that someone would serve a piece of "meat" like that! Waitress didn't seem to be alarmed at all. If was clear from our whole experience at 907 that it is just a paycheck for the people who work there. They don't care if the food suck, if the service sucks or if the place is filthy. Definitely not off to a good start. Pretty slow for an empty place. Empty water glass just gets to me. Hope the food makes up for this. Lets judge the food. The chicken served in the grilled chicken sandwich was good but nothing else in it was. I had the chicken apple walnut salad and the only thing that made it horrible was the apple! You need to taste what you put out and this apple was just gross. Not crisp, not sweet. Was mushy like its been sitting on a shelf for years! OK... upfront disclosure... I am a mother of 4 kids, 3 who drive me crazy (not always the same 3) so going out to dinner on a weekend takes a lot of courage and patience! The patio was offered and we gladly accepted!!! SERVICE WAS FAST AND FRIENDLY... everyone was there to help... we had one person seat us, another person bring us water, someone else showed up and took our order, then 3 people all came out with our food and returned FAST with the requested hot sauce! FOOD WAS DELICIOUS... everyone loved their meals! I was worried because my husband is kinda a foodie and my kids are very picky! But everyone cleaned their plates... well almost everyone. Don't waste your time. We came around 5 on a saturday. Sat down and ordered pretty quickly. About 10 minutes later the waiter comes back and informs us they are out of onion rings. Which makes me think "hm ok they use remade frozen stuff. great" another 10 minutes goes by and we finally get our appetizers which were ok, nothing I'd ever have to have again. Then after 10/15 minutes our orders finally come out. The burgers were completely blah. I taste more beef on a McDs burger then on this. The clam chowder was decent but again tasted more like a potato/bacon chowder since it had NO CLAMS in it. A friend ordered a shrimp pasta dish. She said it was good but it only had 7 small shrimp in it. We definitely won't be coming back here. Way better places that give you what you are paying for, if not more. read more

Mediocre food, slow service, an all around disappointing lunch experience. The eggs benedict and ham + cheese omelet were just okay (edible, but I wouldn't order either again). The Monte Cristo was soggy, and the fries were not worth eating. Worst of all, the hash browns (the primary reason I came in) were terrible--somehow darkened on the outside and yet without the slightest bit of crispiness, completely overcooked mush on the inside, and entirely bland. The server was pleasant, but it took a long time to order (on a weekday afternoon), coffee was never refilled, and another drink never arrived. Came here for lunch with a group of 5 coworkers to celebrate a Co anniversary. Our server appeared a bit harried at first, but she did warm up nicely. Service was prompt with water & drink refills brought automatically. Good food choices & each sandwich comes with fries, slaw, soup or salad, though I'd recommend paying the $2 extra for the sweet potato fries. There are also lots of salad options & some non-meat sandwich options. The decor is attractive with bead-board wainscoting & historic photos of Benicia on the walls. The space is 2 stories high, and large windows in the front make it a bright & cheerful place. There's a large patio out back for alfresco dining. To get to the bathroom you have to pass through the prep area & go outside, which I thought was a bit odd, but what are you gonna do if that's the way your space was configured when you rented it? The bathroom was of ample size, fully stocked, and clean. Hey, these things matter... They brought a cheesecake to the coworker celebrating her anniversary & sang happy anniversary. No one asked them to do this, they just overhead us talking and brought the treat, a very sweet & unexpected gesture. read more

We went there last Saturday night for a combo birthday dinner. The food was excellent. I had the chicken fried steak and it reminded me of when I lived in Texas. All 4 of us enjoyed our meal. The problem was the service. The waitress acted like she had better things to do, and was slow. I told her that it was a birthday for two of us and she said in kind of a snotty way "we have cake" I said just cake for dessert? She said with an emphatic YES... The dessert was mediocre. As I sit here at my work desk in the most rediculous food coma I've ever been in my life, I have to say their cheeseburgers are OFF THE HOOK! My boss and I were craving a real, charbroiled, juicy cheeseburger with the works and we had no clue where to get one. The owner being a client of ours, we decided to give it a shot. We were seriously blown away. Especially considering when I called to make the order I asked the woman who helped me if they even had cheeseburgers there, and she replied with "the best in town!" I went here last night with my wife and son who is a Benicia high student. I used to smell the aroma of food from this restaurant every time I went for a walk, but dinner time lack of available parking space at the roadside always made us drive past this place to the end. Last night was our bad luck day because either was a parking available right in front of this restaurant. I have been living in Benicia almost 16 yeas and been to most of the downtown restaurants. This is the first time I went here yesterday (10-30-2015) and I must say this will be the last time too. From there service to food it was horrible. First of all I asked the waiter for a extra piece of bread right after we placed the order, which I repeated till all the way end of my dinner. Maybe like three or four times. He never served us the extra bread I requested for. We ordered a NY steak, grilled salmon and grilled Mahi Mahi, all three were dry and tasted like burned food. From the way I was treated and what was served. IMHO they don't even deserve a star. Unfortunately Yelp don't allow me to do a rating like that. read more

Well I ordered my eggs benedict and the waitress comes back and tells me that the kitchen is closed for breakfast. I went here for dinner with my family earlier in the year. Nice restaurant looks small but am told there is seating the back. We sat up front close to entrance. THe food was ok and the only thing I didn't like was that the front room started to get smoky because of meat being cooked so needless to say we smelled like a kitchen when we left. We walked in and the place has a interesting red and black vibe going on, staff was very friendly and patient while my boyfriend figured out what to get. This is the second time we've tried since the ownership has changed. I do not like leaving reviews like this. This is actually my first one star. Ever.
