After reading these reviews I feel like I went to a different restaurant than most other Yelpers... The standalone restaurant itself is quaint, with the indoor ambiance mediocre at best. There is plenty of seating and we were greeted upon entry. We ordered General Tao Chicken and Hibachi Chicken both w/white rice. While the General Tao was pretty good, the Hibachi Chicken was not. It looked tasty, but came in some sort of sauce that had a bizarre smell and taste that was hard to explain, and 2 random shrimp (that I didn't order and don't believe was included but I did appreciate!). Still, definitely not like any sort of Hibachi I've ever had, and not in a good way. After sending the meal back, I ordered a Calamari which was tasty, and came with a side sweet chili dipping sauce. PROS: - Location is easy to find - Good sized menu - Server was kind - Food taste (of the one item I had) CONS: - Ambiance could use some love - Food taste (of the one item I had) I always have a hard time returning to places in which I had a less-than-decent experience. So while I encourage everyone to try most places for themselves, I can say that for me this one was a one-and-done. read more

A pretty standard sushi restaurant. The sushi was good and the atmosphere was nice. Service was on the slow side, but that is also typical of my experience with sushi restaurants and usually assures me that they're making the rolls fresh. Biggest issue was that two of the meals came out at the same time and the third came at least 5 minutes later. We enjoyed our dinners but it's probably not a place we'd go back to. read more

My family and I had dinner here during our Cape Cod trip. There were several good choices available, but I played it safe and ordered the Orange Chicken. This was one of the best orange chicken dishes I've had - the food was very fresh, and the serving size was more than generous! The waitress was also super friendly and personable. Standard sushi menu with a wide variety of non-sushi options for those who do not eat raw fish. Cost for some items was disproportionate ($9 for one starter of two small-ish egg rolls for example). While waiting for our entrees we were treated to a free roll from the sushi chef. It would have been nice if the server had known what the roll was, but it was still a great surprise. Downside--they had a fairly short and very eclectic playlist that repeated over and over again. read more

We had sushi and sashimi combo. The sushi rice for nigiri is delicious it taste pretty good w the fishes. Sashimi is the proble. Its cut in variety (to cut cost i guess? Or just in experience susbi chef) its as thin as the sushi ( which sashimi that i am used to are thicker than the nigiri slice. And some are cut lengthwise and creating unpleasant tendon on the fish is there. We found a couple of tuna maki has tendon issues too. Fried rice though pretty good and fast. Just fyi this establishment is Chinese-owned so if you go there just order their chinese food i am sure it would be great. If you not picky with sushi, you can go ahead. I ate sushi like every week and tried abunch of places, and became very critical to some that are not correct. read more

This place was close to my accommodations and I walked in and was greeted by a friendly staff. The plates were a good size. I had a combo plate of some sort. Was very hot. They served a hot soup up front. Portions were really good. Clean and organized venue. Service was fast and the staff was awesome. Definitely be back! read more

We stopped into Ninja House right before they were planning on closing for the season. The service is so friendly and helpful! We ordered the Spicy Maki Combo, but asked if the salmon could be not spicy. They said that was fine. The sushi was fresh and delicious. It also came with miso soup. They also have gluten free soy sauce. This is definitely a place we'd return to. I keep seeing the photo in my camera roll and wanting to go back! Yum! read more

Did I miss something about this place? It does have many good reviews, so this is just based on our experience. We ordered the kani salad and duck appetizer, and had chicken and shrimp hibachi dinner. Our first question was why is fried rice $3 extra as hibachi is a grilled dish and by default should be served with fried rice as opposed to the white rice this place offers? There was nothing hibachi about the meal. The veggies were cold and tasted like a steamed bag of mix veggies. The shrimp/chicken was okay but our main complaint was the sauce that it was served with... what in the WORLD was that? It had a horrible aftertaste and I couldn't quite tell of it was sour from being spoiled OR if it resembled that aftertaste from saki, like the alcohol tang and smell from it. The sauce was completely inedible. The duck was good but the kani salad was the weirdest we've seen, served with shredded veggies and breadcrumbs... just not a fan. My daughter liked her udon noodles with plain broth... I can't get over that weird hibachi experience though. Would not return or recommend. read more

I called in to pickup 3 maki rolls and fried rice. I was told 30 minutes. Fine. $62.00 seems pricey but let's try it. I waited at the bar for over an hour for the order to arrive , all the while the kitchen staff and wait staff are coughing and sniffling on the food and everything around them. DayQuil literally sat on the cash register. Not sanitary. When I asked what the holdup was... They said it was really busy, I look around and there are literally five people in the whole restaurant. Insulting. If I wasn't so god damn hungry id throw this food out in their trash can right in front of them. Maybe I caught them on a bad night... but damn. Won't be going there again. My wife and I were visiting Cape Cod and got the spicy maki to go. It was absolutely delicious and fresh fish! They offer Gluten Free Soy Sauce, their Miso soup had great flavor as well. Please note: we went on 12/31/2023, they had a sign on their door they would be closed 1/1/2024 through 4/1/2024. I was talking with the owner and though they are only a 4mo old business, they are closing for slow season to allow for the city to process their liquor license. I'm looking forward to going back when they reopen! read more

Walked in here on a whim with a date and was seated immediately. Ordered hot sake and tea. My date ordered the Hyannis roll and miso soup while I ordered the Pork Miso Ramen. I actually was experiencing nausea before we got to the restaurant and after drinking the tea and sipping the broth of the ramen I felt 1000% better. It really settled my stomach, so I think that's a plus for me in this restaurant. Service was wonderful and polite. We will definitely be back to try more menu items! read more

Had some poke bowls which were delicious. Spicy salmon definitely had some heat. Restaurant was half full on a Monday in summer so was quiet. We had take out and had to wait a while at our expected pick up time which was a little surprising given restaurant was not busy. Overall would go back again. read more

This was my first time trying Ninja House and it was great! The ambiance is lacking (felt sterile, bright lighting) BUT the food was great and all the staff were very attentive, welcoming and friendly. Mediocre hodgepodge of Japanese & Chinese food. The waitress didn't seem too familiar with the menu & the actual dishes were just okay versions of actual Japanese food. Rather than sushi rice being used in the rolls it seems to just be Chinese white rice. The ramen broth was thin & bland. This place isn't authentic & the fish doesn't seem particularly fresh, but it's not horrible. Just mediocre all around read more

My family and I just had our second dinner at the Ninja House today. Our waitress, Vicky couldn't have been nicer and more pleasant. The ambiance was very bright and cheerful. Every appetizer and main course was fresh and delicious. The steamed pork Gyoza and Avocado Cucumber Sushi was a great lead-in to our main courses. The Veggie Fried Rice, and Shrimp Yaki Udon was scrumptious! Before we got our bill, our granddaughter convinced us to order the Tempura Cheesecake. Glad she twisted our arms because it was one of the best desserts that I can remember having. Along with the taste, the presentation was very appealing. So, Nina House deserves 5 stars and to have many repeat customers such as ourselves...Enjoy! read more

Stopped by on Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. I had seen a review on Reddit and wanted to check it out. We will definitely be back. The food was amazing. I wish I had room for more. The food was yummy. There were some oddities, mainly being the restaurant name on the drink menus being wrong (for a different restaurant entirely), and the service was a little helicopter-esque. There wasn't a chance to sit and relax with our food, it almost felt like we were being rushed; strange, because the place wasn't very busy. I'll chalk it up to inexperience on the waitress's part. read more

YOWZA. This new restaurant blows away all the other Asian restaurants on Cape. The menu lists dozens of kinds of sushi, but if you're not a sushi lover there are many other options. My husband had the veggie hibachi lunch -- very fresh veggies with a nice smoky taste. I had the beef teriyaki Bento box lunch, which came with salad (delicious ginger dressing), dumplings, rice, and a California roll. The thinly sliced beef was perfectly cooked and tender. Service was polite and attentive. Prices are a bit high but totally worth it. We look forward to trying many more items on the menu. read more

Wow .... what a wonderful surprise to find this new restaurant so fabulously delicious. We were celebrating a birthday when our original choice was closed. It was meant to be! I recommend the eponymous fresh rolls (of course) and salads which they do really well and always have a nice crispness. The vegan "tuna" roll is my favorite "shushi" roll as someone who always loved tuna but now avoids due to ethical reasons - it is surprisingly similar to tuna and the combination of creamy mayo and crunchy veg is always a hit. Of the noodles and entrees, I recommend the coconut angel noodles bowl which comes with angel hair rice noodles, fried tofu, fresh veg, mint, and chopped up crispy spring rolls - such a great balance of flavors and textures. The streetfood sandwich - a banh mi variation - is very good too. I am less of a fan of their other entrees like pad thai and fried rice as I do think you can get better versions at other Thai restaurants. The space is small and mostly takeout but they do have a few tables (you will get your food in to-go boxes regardless of takeout or eat in). The staff is very friendly and always super kind. The wait can get long if they are busy so I recommend ordering ahead for pickup. Overall, I highly highly recommend this gem!

As you walk in, the place was already buzzing at 5 pm on Sunday. The place has a sort of gaming arcade feel to it. Very bright with lots of LED lights and tacky signs. Not a fan, but can appeal to a family with kids. I have had hot pot and Korean and Japanese BBQ before. This place, I thought, was OK, not amazing in terms of food quality. If you have hungry teenage boys, this place is awesome. We opted to have both BBQ and hotpot, it was additional $5 per person. Because this place has two hour dining time limit, but you can ear all you want, they serve a lot of frozen and prepared meats and veggies for the grille or the hot pot. Similar formula for a volume restaurant, but I have had better quality elsewhere. The service was efficient and speedy. You order your food via touch pad tablet. The raw food comes out within minutes for you to cook. At $38 per person, plus your drinks, it can get pricy but everyone goes home stuffed. In the end, it is about $55 to $60 per person with tips.

Our experience here was mixed. The place has an outside…read moreenclosed tent as well as inside seating. We opted for inside, as it was early in the season with a cool breeze. The dining room was more spacious than it appears to be from the outside. Piped in music leaned heavily toward the '70s. We had reservations for a table for 4 for Monday 4 pm when it opened and the place slowly filled up. Our waitress, Sam, was very animated, attentive, and personable. She explained she was training a new waitstaff member and also that the chef had been busy all day setting up another proximate location. We placed our drink and oyster orders first. Then shortly followed with our entree orders. Two members of our party had food allergies and were very specific about what they could not eat. Sam checked menu items with the kitchen to verify what accommodations could be made. The cocktails were delicious and well made, and we were offered fresh hot rolls with butter and a light whipped hummus. The oysters arrived and were small, but ultra-fresh, sweet and briny. Then we waited...and waited. When our entrees finally arrived, they revealed either some of the kitchen staff also was new and/or the head chef/owner was distracted with setting up the second location. The Cioppino was very good, with plenty of seafood and a lobster tail, as was the house seared scallops with asparagus and lobster risotto. The blackened scallop special was very spicy (as warned) but arrived layered on corn, which we emphatically had said must be avoided. Sam apologized and took that away and replaced it with another vegetable. Then the beer-battered fish and chips arrived with sweet potato fries, when the parmesan-seasoned fries had been ordered. We know in both cases Sam had correctly repeated our orders to us before placing with the kitchen, so it was not her fault. However, she again apologized and brought back the correct type of fries. Sadly, they were pale and limp, contrasted with overbrowned, oily/doughy portions of fish. The accompanying coleslaw was not crisp and was barely seasoned, tasting thinly of mayonnaise. The member of our party who had ordered the fish and chips dinner literally took a taste of each item and pushed the plate away as not good. I also tasted each item and agreed. To the restaurant's credit, Sam spoke with her boss and that entree was removed from the bill. It seems the oysters and specialty seafoods are the highlight here, but more simple fish shack foods are better served elsewhere. Also, better attention needs to be paid to orders by the kitchen. If I return to this area, I would consider returning for the daily oyster specials and drinks, the cioppino, and possibly trying out the creative-sounding desserts, but might want to try other restaurants for a full dinner experience with friends.
