Decided to try Saga Sushi in Yarmouth. We were excited to go out as we have been going out less and less as it's getting so expensive. First of, the interior of the restaurant was nice and clean. We went early on a Saturday - around 4:15 pm. The waitress was abrupt and dismissive. Unfamiliar with Japanese foods, I asked some questions as the menu did not describe some of the meals. The questions were answered in a rushed way - no other patrons in the restaurant. I ordered the miso ramen. Not familiar with this as I've never had outside a cup-of-soup. This I found to be flavorless with pork belly that was not tender...rather dry if it can be soaking in broth. The maki rolls, ordered by my partner, were enjoyed by him. The mai tai's were seriously disappointing. I've had much better from Chinese restaurants before. I'll not be back. read more

The sushi came quickly and we were able to substitute the rolls we wanted in the combo without any extra charge. The place is right the Cape Cod Inflatable Park so it's easy to go to if you're staying there. And ginger dressing which was good. The rolls were premade judging by how fast they came out. The first thing I noticed was that the tuna roll was bright pink. The rice was dry and undercooked. The only sad news is that one of the huge dragon fish's died two weeks prior to our visit . i bet the other fishy missing his friend:.) I have been going to Saga Sushi on a weekly basis for lunch for awhile now. I do enjoy the food and service. However, and I hate to write this, but. This last tues as I was finishing lunch, I began to smell this horrible stench that permeated the resturant. I leaned over and looked down the aisle, and about 20 ft away, was an opening in the floor with a large hose in it. I'm assuming this was the access to their septic system and a truck outside was pumping it out. Fortunately, I was finishing my meal and quickly paid the bill. But that stench ruined my lunch and stuck with me for most of the afternoon. A a result, I don't think I will be going back there anytime soon. Oh dear. We ordered from here for delivery recently and you can see how much we liked it in my previous review. I ordered again last night and there must have been someone else in the kitchen because it was a completely different experience. I opened my wallet up to these people and ordered: cucumber avocado rolls, sweet potato rolls, tofu teriyaki, side of noodles, and GF ordered spicy maki rolls or something along those lines. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I ordered the veg rolls with brown rice. They were falling apart all over the place and the seaweed holding them together was soft and sticky, definitely not keeping anything together. Some of the avocado was also extremely soft and mushy, frankly disgusting. I tried 2 and couldn't have anymore. Straight to the trash. The tofu teriyaki was decent. They sent the sauce on the side which I guess is good so it doesn't get mushy. There weren't many vegetables. The tofu was silken and the skin just slid right off. This was the most tolerable part of my meal. The accompanying miso soup was just ok and the salad was fine, some of the lettuce had seen better days. The noodles weren't great and had a terrible aftertaste. GF couldn't eat them. $90 for a meal I could barely eat :-/ read more

What a delightful surprise. We were actually just turning around in the parking lot to get pizza when the kids saw the storefront asked for sushi. I was a bit hesitant as It doesn't look like much from the generic shopping strip storefront but so happy to say this place had the Best miso soup we've ever had, their rolls were wonderfully fresh and rice was perfect. We also ordered the steak teriyaki which was cooked to a perfect medium rare and came on a bed of a lovely variety of fresh and above standard vegetables. The time before that they forgot our wasabi and soy sauce. Sushi is ok but the front worker is rude, it's dark inside, and I wouldn't recommend until they sort it out. Saga is Asian/sushi restaurant and seems pretty new. And the center of attention is a large fish tank with variety of fish. We were seated right away and the waitress got our drinks. We ordered our food and the soups and salads came out really fast. I got a salad and a soup. The dressing on the salad was very tasty and the miso soup had great flavor. I ordered the chicken udon and a tuna roll. The chicken udon came out quickly. It was a very nice portion and was delicious. I couldn't finish it. There is a sauce they drizzle on it that is very flavorful. The chicken was thinner that I thought it would be, but it was really good. The noodles were cooked perfectly. It took a while for my daughter's rainbow roll and my tuna roll to come out. I found it odd they would bring one main dish out and not the other. Once we got our sushi, we enjoyed it. Quite a large portion, and my daughter enjoyed it very much. And the tuna was a nice red color. Just the way it should be. I waitress was very nice. She filled my daughter's water glass often. I cannot complain about the service at all. Overall I thought this was a good experience. I would recommend giving this place a try. We got a lot of food for the price that we paid. The host didnt even look at us when walking in, said take the first table by the door- and walked away. The place was empty and we wanted any table not by the door. Should of just walked out at this point, but my kids wanted sushi. Asked for green tea, was a brought a used tea bag in a cold pot. Wasnt green tea. I really hate to write a bad review, but I was highly disappointed by Saga Sushi since Cape Cod is known for its seafood. My husband and I just ordered 4 rolls and I'd say that about a third of them fell apart. The ratio of fish to rice was way off with gaps in the rice in some spots. While a lot of fish may sound good to some people, rolls are meant to be eaten in one bite which I was not able to do because the rolls I got were too big. Presentation is beautiful unfortunately there is a major lack in flavor. I got the Ninja Roll and despite having eel sauce and spicy mayo sauce it was just not tasty. The eel nor the salmon had zero taste I had to add some soy sauce and katsu sauce just to enjoy it at the slightest. My husband had the Chicken Katsu, and again there was just no real flavor to the chicken or rice. The chicken was too dry. Definitely not worth the price point. My husband and I were craving sushi, and we saw the great reviews on Yelp for this place and decided to try it out. We spent $130 on our takeout order, and we threw it all away. I really hate to write this but it was shocking how bad it was. We ordered both regular maki rolls and the specialty rolls, and while the regular maki rolls were edible, they were not palatable. All of the specialty rolls seemed to be all rice, lacking the featured fish, and they all seemed like they'd been thrown in the tempura batter and fried?? After everyone was done eating she realized she forgot about the boat of sushi. I told her to forget it. I didn't want it anymore. Guess what? I was very excited to have a new sushi place at the cape since there aren't many. I ordered 100$ worth of food and waited for an extra 10 mins once I got there. I got to the car, checked my bag and was missing a miso soup. Not a big deal, 3$. Well, I went back in to tell her we are missing a soup and she told me that she had given it to us and did not believe me. No joke, I had to take my opened bags of food, put it all back together and carry them back in to prove it. She got me an additional miso and spoke to her other employees about me as I left.
