We also ordered the Summer Shrimp roll; OMG, the sushi was delicious - I actually finished it and ordered a second one. It's probably the best sushi I've ever eaten! Parking is a challenge; we got lucky and found a spot. It's very busy with a lot of foot traffic. Be very careful while driving and watch for pedestrians, as they jaywalk - they literally walk in front of your car. The decor has a creative energy, with indoor and outdoor seating, featuring jungle elements and a vibrant mural of three monkeys. The star of this place is the food, and the service was exceptional. Our waitress was super friendly, elevating customer service to an art form. Food is served with chopsticks, but if you don't know how to use them, you can dine without worry, knowing the staff will accommodate requests for alternative silverware. I highly recommend it! We had an outstanding experience at 3 Monkeys on Friday evening. No reservations and we arrived just after 7:00. Happily we were seated in just a few minutes. Our seats were at a high-top in the bar area. A bit noisier and more lively than we wanted but not unbearable. We had the short rib bao which were very tasty. We shared the Mongolian Pan-Fried Noodles with Fried Chicken which was delicious. And we added the Captain Crunch Roll which was also very good. The kitchen brought us a shrimp tempura roll by mistake which was promptly replaced with the correct Captain Crunch. The tempura roll was left for us to enjoy but it was not nearly as good as the other food we were served. Added a glass of white wine for each of us and truly enjoyed the experience. I've stayed at the resort right next door for years and tonight was my first time trying this place. It's always super busy which is a good sign. They have indoor and outdoor seating, we opted for indoor as it was a bit chilly outside. The inside is vibrant with cool paintings and the music is fun. Our server, Molly, was super nice and helpful answering questions. I started with the Last Airbender cocktail which was yummy and refreshing. We ordered the edamame to start and decided to split the garlic and egg fried rice, we were told it was a big portion and enough to split and it definitely was. It was more than enough, it was delicious though. Hubby got the tails in the air and the salmon and cucumber roll and said both were excellent. For my main roll, I got the serpent roll, very delicious; just note, it's on their menu when you're there but doesn't show up on their site. All the food came out at once but it all came out very fast. We were impressed and will be back! read more

This place jumps in the summer and has great cafe-spilling-onto-sidewalk-open-air vibe. Alone on a rainy Sunday in late September and hungry (as I had not had lunch), I said why not finally try? It was a cold afternoon, but I sat at the empty bar and appreciated the wonky wall paintings and the raw Cape air. Menu, both food and drink, is eclectic with what seems an interesting Japanese goes tropical theme. But I found myself a bit disappointed in the Bhodi roll--where was the crab--and the thick radish slices should be much thinner in MHO. Where was the pork in the slightly over fried gyoza? I wanted to love both, but they were just ok. My Japanese whiskey drink with umbrella was good and different. Young bartender provided friendly service. I do think this is a creative addition to Harwich Port that is so lively all summer long. I like the fun theme here. Came here right after they opened on a Wednesday. We were sat immediately and the service was great. I love poke so I ordered their bowl minus any cucumber. It was delicious! There was enough sauce that I didn't even need to use soy sauce. My boyfriend said his roll was very good as well. They originally said it would be over an hour, so we posted up by the bar with a drink. The hostesses really worked to get people seated- and we were seated much earlier than anticipated! I had a delicious Pina colada. We got the fried goyza for an app and they were great. My husband ordered the ramen- which the broth was very flavorful and well done. First, we wanted to sit inside but the disco music was so loud and obnoxious we opted for a table outside. No, we are not old people. Drinks were served in plastic cups and all food was served on paper plates. Really? The attempt at "sushi" is beyond pathetic. I'm not sure what kind of rice they use, but it is NOT sushi rice and had the consistency of oatmeal. Mushy oatmeal. My tempura shrimp roll will probably stay in my stomach like a brick for a week. I drove into Harwichport to purchase a gift card. Was told by a very nice young lady that they were out of gift cards, but that I could order online. Went home and tried to do that but no link for ordering gift cards on their website. I was really looking forward to giving it as a birthday present. Also, the voicemail doesn't let you get through to any real person for help finding out how to order an ecard, and the hours of operation are outdated on it as of July 1. Oh well. read more

Delicious! My daughters husband, and I loved it here after a cloudy day it was a great way to warm up. Drinks including the kids. Strawberry daiquiris were a hit. The service was excellent and our meals were so delicious. Our kids can't wait to go back again. I recommend on a mild day to bring a sweater as they like to keep it open and airy and it could get a little chilly. I like the music creates a nice vibe and there is outdoor seating. I hate being served in plastic but won't dock them for this on the drinks. Ordered the Ramen with pork belly. The base for the ramen is $15 and they add $10 for the pork. The base ramen was delicious, fresh ingredients and broth was very flavorful. I was slightly taken back when it came out in a small paper bowl--for $25 dollars I expected a larger serving but being served in paper was huge no no at the price point. At $25 it is one of the most expensive ramens I've eaten (including Boston/DC and Chicago prices) and to be served in a small paper bowl was a shock. Also for $10 there were only three small two inch slices of thick bacon pretending to be pork belly. Not a good value for the money. I would try it again but as good as the ramen was--won't be ordering it again. To much for to little. Might go back for drinks only. If larger serving and served in a glass bowl--could have been a 4.5 star review. Ambience was nice, good sidewalk seating area, two large bar areas and about a dozen small tables indoors. The toppings were plentiful, and added a nice crunch to the texture. Fish was of standard freshness. Atmosphere: - They have sizeable number of indoor and outdoor seating. - Walls feature brightly colored art. Service: - Service was fair, we got our food pretty quickly. We have been to 3 Monkeys many times and each time I think "maybe THIS will be the time". Strike 1: there is no baby changing table in the bathrooms. Where am I supposed to change a baby? Three floor? Your bar? This is really frustrating to me. It's something so simple they have overlooked. Strike 2: the food is so expensive yet it shows up on dinky paper plates. I know it has to do with septic but it is SO SO wasteful. Figure out something or work with the town on change. Strike 3: Nothing young kid friendly. We got a side of avocado and some plain noodles with butter for the kids - but we had to ask and get creative. A simple menu would be nice Strike 4: the main "dining room" seems like you're dining in a college dining hall or something. It's super plain and not worthy of the bill you're going to get. I think the cocktails are good and the bar vibe works well here. I think there is a lot of room for improvement because if it did improve it would be such a home run here on the cape where everything is fried and also just OK. read more

Those who didn't order sushi, seemed satisfied with their meals. Now the negative: a few of us ordered sushi. It was good, but the pricing for such a small serving was absurd. I had a double dragon roll for $24. For the price, the amount of sushi was tiny. I've eaten sushi for about 30 years, in scores of restaurants and cities around this country. I've been rolling my own sushi for about 20 years as well. I think I know what a serving should look like. My opinion: the serving should have been double that size for the money.
