Amazing sushi! I ordered takeout for a large party of 10 people and we had a great experience. We placed the order over the phone and they were so accommodating to complete the order for us within a certain timeframe. We tried several rolls and sides, but the ones that stood out to me were the tiger eye roll and angry dragon roll. The edamame, fried rice, pad Thai, and tomago were well liked within the group as well. It was also presented so beautifully. Overall it was a great dinner and delicious food!

The food at Bluefins Sushi & Sake Bar at 513 Main St, Chatham, MA 02633 is decent. Unfortunately server experiences have overshadowed my food impressions. Being told I was weird for not drinking tap water and the server having no clue what a hand roll was in a sushi restaurant was not typical server behaviors. But the latest was the worst. The server, Nina, was immediately impatient and flat-faced. Never offered us another drink, served tuna sashimi instead of salmon and huffed when asked to remedy it, told us that people around us wanted to enjoy their dinner and our laughter was too loud. Not everyone is made for customer service.

Service Ambiance Food My second visit to Bluefins and it did not disappoint. We had a party of six and everyone loved their time at this Chatham hot spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a lot of seating option from standard table, hightop, sushi bar and standard bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was amazing and clearly a professional that took care of our every need with a natural ease. Food and drinks came out timely and we had a relaxed visit. Food this trip was fantastic! We order apps/starters of Pork dumplings, Fried Rice cake, bao buns and a garden salad. All of them were delicious!! My personal favorite was the fried rice cake but I think each person would select one of the others as their favorite as well! Main dishes were mostly sushi rolls and one Pad Thai. Alaskan, Hawaiian, Dynamite, Shaggy Dog and ?? (Can't remember the last one). No room for dessert this trip.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]LOVE the food, not crazy about the seating/table choices for two.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you're getting several items, different rolls, appetizers, maybe a bottle of sake or wine, the small tables become quite crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are also extremely close together, so there isn't much privacy for conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would recommend sitting at the bar over sitting at one of the small tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is worth it! The rolls, the ribs, the wings, the crab dip, all excellent.

This place was recommended to me by my sister in law! My husband and I came in on a Saturday night with no reservations and they were able to sit us at the sushi bar right away which we were pretty happy about. The oysters are so huge and good, we had to get a dozen of them. I got the lobster dip bc another reviewer recommended it and it was nothing special. My husband got the burger which he said was pretty good. I would definitely recommend the Surf N Turf roll. It comes with 10 pieces, is cooked and that seared beef (omg yum!) Would definitely come back because we know what's good here now!

Pad Thai with shrimp. The bowl is really deep. Big portion.

Pretty good fare. Easy takeout. For takeout, you just pull up out front, and someone comes out with your food and payment options. You don't even have to call when you arrive. The food was all fine. Nothing bad. Nothing amazing. Had the bao buns, which were way bigger than expected. They reheated well. Two cooked sushi rolls. Pad Thai with shrimp, which was a hearty portion. I'd eat here again.

    Hamachi carpaccio

Decor was nice; what you'd expect from a somewhat upscale sushi place. The staff checked in frequently and were organized and friendly. The food was good but not overly unique. Hamachi carpaccio could have used some more flavor to make it more interesting. Cocktails were excellent and had a lot of options for both sake and martinis. The pad Thai, bao buns, and poke bowls were all surprisingly large portions. We went with group of ten and they managed it perfectly and all the food came out as ordered and quickly.

Cucumber martini, edamame, Red Sox roll, and Japanese whiskey sour.

I loveeeeed dinner at Bluefins. I understand the 90 minute dining limit, but I could have sat there all evening (which is why I understand it). The wait staff is very attentive, probably to accommodate the time limit, but great nonetheless. The sushi is fresh, flavorful, with amazing, buttery texture. The drinks are balanced very well, too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's pretty crowded and loud, but everything is along the Cape in the summer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Yellowtail served carpaccio style with scallions

First time at the bar in a number of years. Everything we ordered was fabulous. Especially loved the yellowtail served carpaccio style with scallions. All of their rolls are beautiful, artful, and so fresh. So many excellent staff work here. Excellent service and great to see the sushi prepared right in front.

Main Street was nuts, insane, busy, etc. with the holiday, vacationers, visitors, soccer fans for FIFA, etc. It's the Cape! Very nice place... looks like it could have been a church, VFW Hall, or something or another. Found out it was actually a clothier back in the day, and the stained glass and pews were rescues from a church up in Maine. Nice decor, comfortable. Both lunch and dinner menu served in the early afternoon. High volume, but a few empty tables on a long holiday weekend - Friday. A little off of the beaten path, by that I mean it is not directly on Main Street, but located on Chatham Bars Avenue and down the short street a hundred feet or so and on your left. Cold, bottled San Pellegrino with lime and lemon. Started with the raw bar, well worth the short wait! 18 fat, cold, and briney oysters that were shucked to perfection. The Shrimp Cocktail was great too. She had the Floey's Tuna Sandwich, along with the pasta salad; the tuna had capers mixed in which was a very nice touch! I had the broiled scallops and asparagus; an incredible butter/lemon sauce. Both done exceptionally well. Clean facility, plenty of room, and a wicked nice staff too! Truly, a hidden gem and a must visit! No negatives whatsoever!

There is plenty of seating and we were greeted upon entry. We ordered General Tao Chicken and Hibachi Chicken both w/white rice. While the General Tao was pretty good, the Hibachi Chicken was not. It looked tasty, but came in some sort of sauce that had a bizarre smell and taste that was hard to explain, and 2 random shrimp (that I didn't order and don't believe was included but I did appreciate!). Still, definitely not like any sort of Hibachi I've ever had, and not in a good way. After sending the meal back, I ordered a Calamari which was tasty, and came with a side sweet chili dipping sauce. PROS: - Location is easy to find - Good sized menu - Server was kind - Food taste (of the one item I had) CONS: - Ambiance could use some love - Food taste (of the one item I had) I always have a hard time returning to places in which I had a less-than-decent experience. So while I encourage everyone to try most places for themselves, I can say that for me this one was a one-and-done.
