Ate hibachi here recently because it was highly recommended. The service was very good, prices reasonable, but the food was not as good as we expected. The rice was a bit mushy and the steak cut was extremely tough (even ordered medium rare). They only provide soup OR salad and their yum-yum sauce was different than any I have had before. The building feels like it needs a good cleaning (there was an over abundance of grease present on the exhaust hoods) and maybe some paint. Finally, they add a 20% service charge on top, so if the service is poor, you'll have a battle on your hands. read more

We opted to come early to beat the Friday night rush, but it definitely started filling quickly. The soup here isn't very umami-rich, instead is rather bland. I also don't care for the salad dressing - to me it tastes more mayo based. It's not ginger or sesame. The hibachi itself is fair, nothing is wrong with it, but it's also not the best I've ever had. I have no desire to return to this establishment. The food was subpar, the sushi was falling apart on the plate, the ginger was not fresh and smelled funny, the wasabi was not hot. Why two stars? Because the water was cold! Here is the major problem we experienced, our server was rude, impatient, and carried what seemed to be a major attitude. We noticed on the QR code menu that this restaurant has a no refund/money-back policy right at the top of the menu and plastered all over the restaurant. This should have been a red flag! It did not take us long to find out why. We were seated at the hibachi grill and there was just my wife and I. (let me back up, the only reason we were here was that Gianna was closed for the holiday) When we were seated for about 15 minutes, the hostess came and asked us to move to accommodate sitting a party of three with us. My wife said, "I want to stay where I am, but the host insisted, so they didn't have to break up the party of three. This was the beginning of a bad experience for my wife. Then our server had a bad attitude/ "What do you want to drink?" "Soup or salad?" Ok, and proceeds to walk away before we can tell her we wanted an appetizer! I call her back and tell her about the appetizer, and she walks away again before I can say to her we want sushi too.I had to call her back and told her what sushi we wanted. She walked away a third time before we could tell her our entree, and at this point, my wife was ready to leave. I should have listened...but we stayed and ordered, and our experience just went downhill from there. No refills on water, salmon overcooked, steak undercooked, never saw the server again until she brought the bill, and to add insult to injury, my wife got sick immediately after she ate her meal (which she couldn't finish ) Ok, after all that. The attitudinal server brings the bill...for a party of two, $75 (lunch) they automatically added a 15% gratuity charge to the bill. No wonder they gave such poor service,she was going to make her tip regardless. Needless to say, we will never come back here again! read more

They have now opened back up, but some pivotal things have changed for the worse. The lunch price started out with offering soup AND salad with hibachi. Then they cut it down to just one (your choice). They ended up doing this for dinner too, which was a bummer, because the price is greater for dinner. Next, you can't choose which vegetables you want in your hibachi (hope you're not allergic to mushrooms..). You have to have all the vegetables they do, and just pick through them. Lastly, they automatically add tip for any size party. I normally don't care about this, but the fact that the other two things have now started happening, it's just the cherry on top. We probably won't come here as often as we used to. It's a bummer. They do still play the drum and sing Happy Birthday if anyone is having a birthday there, which was surprising to me. read more

Hubby and I came here for a friend's birthday dinner. We had a party of 8 at 5 pm on a Saturday evening. Surprisingly, we did not have to wait long. No reservations are needed. We just needed the entire party present to be seated. Masks are still required to come in but you can take off when seated. Our server was super friendly and very prompt at taking our orders. The only thing different about this hibachi was that you only get to choose salad or soup instead of both. Usually, you get both are most hibachi restaurants. This was a downer. But they totally made up for it foodwise. Great food! They serve lo mein noodles along with everything else. HUGE portions. Everything was wonderful. Came here on a busy Saturday evening so had to wait about 35 minutes. There were signs everywhere about masks being required. That didn't bother us at all since we are used to getting around with them on. That may not be everyone's cup of tea though. The restaurant was packed. It had been awhile since I had been in such a crowded space. The employees were very friendly. My son especially enjoyed the chef. It was his first time at a Hibachi restaurant and I think he thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I can't speak on how the Hibachi tasted since I ordered sushi, but I can say that my son finished a good portion of his Hibachi fried rice. That is saying a lot for a picky 4 year old. It's been a while since I visited this restaurant and since I am craving Japanese food today, this restaurant was the first thing that came to my mind. We came in for Sunday Lunch so the restaurant was packed. The restaurant is separated in four areas. The first area is the hibachi grill, where you can order hibachi and cooked in front of you. There is a booth area, a bar, and an indoor patio that stand out and is very creative. The hostess and the servers are very pleasant and very helpful. They answered all questions and repeatedly stop by at our table for refills and to check how we are doing. The service is also fast and the other servers will also help out if you need help, unlike other places. As for the food, we ordered pork gyoza, chicken terriyaki bento box, and pork katsu bento box from the lunch menu. The bento boxes come with rice, salad, miso soup, California rolls, veggies, and shumai. For less than $10 for lunch, we think it is a pretty good deal. All our food were delicious. We are not sure of their rice is just regular rice or Japanese rice because it is not as sticky and softer as the rice we had from other restaurants. Other than that, we are very impressed. I believe that their prices are reasonable especially if you are coming in for lunch. I'm glad that they gave us coupon for our next visit, and since we enjoyed our visit today, we will definitely come back sooner rather than later. There was an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill, and when they give you the pay slip to sign there is another gratuity line. I absolutely love this place! My family and I have been going here for many years. If it is your first time here and you want hibachi, you should definitely sit at the hibachi side of the restaurant for that experience! It is a bit loud over there though, so if you just want to enjoy your food in a more quieter area, then opt for the regular dining tables on the other side of the room. Anyways, onto the food: We always start off with the BBQ squid, gyoza, & the sexy jalapeño rolls as appetizers. So good! Last time I was here, we ordered the Dragon Lover and the James Bond maki rolls which were full of flavor and generously packed with filling (not just rice). Their sushi is consistently good- I'm sure you can't go wrong with anything you choose here! Just make sure to read the descriptions! I also highly recommend their udon noodles in soup which is personally one of my favorite Asian noodle dishes.
