As I was walking in the neighborhood doing some sightseeing, I saw Nino's and thought i would try a slice. They reheated the slice, which was sizeable. The slice had a nice tomato sauce and was light on cheese. I found the crust to be just the right thickness with a good flavor. I'm not the biggest fan of the style of sausage they use, but found it to be just fine. They do not have a public rest room which is common in touristy areas when the location is small. read more

I got a $4 slice of cheese pizza. It was pretty big. Crispy and hot since it was tossed in an oven/toaster to warm up. So keep in mind their food isn't "fresh out the oven," or at least from what I got. The inside is dimly lit and has seating. No complaints to be honest. read more

This place has what I would call okay birthday party pizza. Overpriced, but it lucks out because the only other option on Charles was upper crust which also sucked (it recently closed). Their online ordering system is a disaster though. Ordered a pizza and an appetizer on their site. Gave me a pickup time. When I arrived at that time they hadn't even seen the order. Wish I didn't tip when placing the order. I've also tried to order before online and wasn't able to. It's very poorly managed here. read more

Favorite place for pizza in Beacon Hill. My kids always say that Nino's has the best pizza.

The scoop: the sauce - delicious, the crust - really delicious...they have great pizza...but nowadays it's the little things. Seriously...this place would get 5 stars from me if they did something as simple as putting fresh basil on the margarita pizza. I want this place to do well because it's my local pizza place. If they step it up a notch they could be just as good as my Beacon Hill favorite...Florina's. The ladies that work here are always nice and friendly! And staying open until 11pm would definitely attract the local college students. read more

Walked in and the restaurant looked very dirty. When we ordered, the lady at the front taking our order just walked away mid sentence. She came back with a bag of frozen chicken strips and dumped them in the fryer. I'm surprised you can even call those chicken strips. I ordered the Nonna's Panini and it was absolutely disgusting, cheap mozzarella, frozen bread, and old tomatoes. Could probably get a better panini in a school cafeteria. I did something strange. I saved the whole pizza in Pyrex until the next day. Heated it on a pan, it was still perfect. The "house-made dough" is something else. Tastes like hints of fry bread, but definitely a traditional crust. Beautiful taste. Had a nice smell even. Bread makes the pizza. Wonderful sauce, pepperoni, and they made it fast. We ordered the meat lovers pizza. Came out fast, and very large size. But it didn't taste good. Was very bland. I tried to add red and black pepper and cheese and salt, still didn't help. They have some celebrity photos up, must be really old, I doubt anyone would recommend this place for the pizza. read more

Gave this place a shot and bit the bullet. You can probably tell, but my overall experience with this place wasn't pleasant. And that really starts out with the pizza. If pizza's your "thing" and listed the sign out front in nice bold letters, then I expect it to be good. Maybe even great. Instead, I was delivered a cold, burnt and tough to eat leftover-style pie. Maybe it was the delivery. Maybe it was the pie (probably a little of both). Either way I'm stuck with this thing I don't want. Worst of all, with UberEat's delivery fees I paid $45 for the privilege of this ugly carcass and some chicken fingers. My advice? When it comes to pizza, stick to what you know works. Yesterday for dinner my family got An Italian sub Buffalo chicken wings with fries And a pizza half cheese half pepperoni The Italian sub was great I recommend the subs here The buffalo chicken wings and fries were also great But the pizza turned out to be highly disappointing mainly because it was burnt. Unfortunately this place is just not good, it's only convenient. The pizza slices are extremely thin and the cheese is pretty much non existent. My last visit here, I ordered Buffalo tenders and was served expired Blue Cheese from December and we were in March. I was already halfway through lunch before I realized it. I really want to enjoy the establishment because of the location and convenience but I can't anymore. The food just isn't good and the place doesn't seem that clean. read more

There are some neighborhoods where you're going to overpay. Beacon Hill is one of them. The only question is "how much". At Nino's, located right on Charles Street, the answer is "some, but not as bad as you'd think." If you're within walking distance of the place (I assume that's why you're going there), odds are you've got the money to spend and won't mind paying $8 for a $6 sandwich. So long as you're cool with that when you walk in, you won't be disappointed. Nino's is the quintessential neighborhood pizza joint; it reminds me of the ones I grew up with in New Jersey. The exterior is old, the chairs are old, the employees are old, and the food is delicious. If you order a sub, you're going to get a good one. If you order a slice, you're going to get a big New York style one with a good ratio of cheese to sauce. The ingredients are up to the task in every dish - the tuna is tuna-y, the pineapples and ham on the Hawaiian Pizza are both fresh, and the steak for the steak and cheese is hearty. So if you're hungry on a weeknight in Beacon Hill, this is your place. Unless of course you want to drop a Benjamin. read more

The pizza is super cheap ($3/slice) and pretty large too. It tastes good but obviously don't expect much from here. The problem I had is that the lady who took my order touched my pizza with her bare hands without washing them after touching money and other dirty things so I didn't eat the crust because of that. Food here is mediocre AT BEST as if you need this review to validate the sad looking food in the photos. Even worse, is the Spanish speaking woman behind the counter who likes to talk trash in Spanish about the customers right in front of them because she thinks white people cant understand her. Old Stinky had a hankering for a slice of wicked good Pizza! He has not been to Nino's in at least 10 years...and was hoping the Pizza was still pissah. The answer is a big yes! Got a slice and was nice and thin and crispy and wicked tasty! Price still reasonable...but then again...old Stinky P. still remembers slices for a dime in the old neighborhood. A bit on the downside...it is wicked hot in there during the Summer. Not overly pleasant...but felt worse for the nice folks that worked there. Also, a real downer is that yours truly...old Stinky P....nearly took a header and almost fell to the ground because of the treacherous condition of the sidewalk bricks on Charles Street. His overworked guardian angel really stepped up to save him from a violent fall to the cruel sidewalk. Not Nino's fault...but just be careful on that street...as Stinky has seen other folks fall as well. He will probably have his Pizza delivered the next time he wants Nino's. read more

Here's the thing- I have stopped by Nino's for a quick, cheap slice (less than $3), and probably will again in the future, but it is by no means a great place. I would describe the pizza as "perfect for kids" in that it is very plain and simple. I don't find the service to be especially friendly and also don't find the restaurant itself to be particularly clean or a place I'd want to sit and eat. So, my verdict is that Nino's is fine for a slice on the go, but not worth ordering a hole pie or stopping in for a meal. read more

So this should be a good spot, but I think the magic from Nino has faded. New team doesn't really embrace the Italian food ethos and instead relies on canned sauce and frozen items from Costco etc. It's like they kinda don't care anymore and that's tough because by all accounts this should be a killer slice joint selling beers and cans of crush. It's good enough for the construction guys but barely good enough for your kids. Pizza is very doughy and sauce is mediocre. Do think there is still an opportunity to bring it back....fingers crossed. read more

I ordered a cheese steak with tomatoes and onions. It took 15 minutes, and were the only people there. After 15 minutes, I received a cheese steak with only lettuce, which I did not order. Also, on le of the workers came to our table with a plate, asking for our Cheetos. Horrible service and the food was bland. read more

I have been going to Nino's since 1999 when we moved to Beacon Hill. The pizza isn't great, but it's acceptable and because its "standard issue" the kids like it better than the more upscale pizza at Upper Crust or even more upscale at Fig's. Others have commented on Nino's being dirty. I don't think so unless some slob left a messy table, but the decor is what you would expect for a pizza place, that is, "not." My beef is that I went to get slices yesterday for one of the kids I asked for three cheese and "please add bacon." The counter person said they only have slices as posted on a hand-printed sign at the counter: cheese, sausage, pepperoni. I said, "Well just add some bacon when you put it in the oven to heat it up. I'll pay extra." She said, "If I did it for you, I'd have to do it for everyone." My thought was, "So, why not? How hard is it to add some bacon?" She still refused. Nino is entitled to set his own, in this case ridiculous, policy. In the face of this inflexibility I am entitled to go elsewhere.Too bad for me as I do like their subs. Too bad for Nino's as I estimate have spent about $1,000 there since 1999. read more
