Stopped by Gary's Pizza to try their Roman-style pizza and had a slice of both the pepperoni and Margherita. Both were delicious and made it easy to understand why this spot is worth checking out. We also scanned the QR code to sign up for their text promotions and received a free chocolate chip cookie, which was a nice bonus and just as delicious. The pricing also stood out. It felt fairly priced, especially compared with some of the longtime local pizza spots nearby. Good pizza, good value, and definitely a place I'd return to and try more of the menu. read more

1st time in Tiny, I mean a tiny shop. Full menu on the wall but 4 or 5 Sicilian style pizza on the board. it all had what I'd call fancy toppings. Place is busy, food is decent, pricing is $6 / slice which seems on the steeper side. Service was friendly, so I'd go back. read more

Wonderful Roman-style pizza in a tiny establishment! We got a slice of Margherita, Summer Corn, Spicy Soppressata, and Roasted Mushroom. All slices had a crispy bottom crust, a nice airy center, and plenty of toppings. My slice ranking was as listed (best to worst). I was still hungry after, so I got another Margherita slice. Got take out from Garry's Pizza today July 19, 2026 1:56pm. Wanted to try the Wagyu Meatball Sub, Summer Corn Slice, and the Oatmeal Creme Pie. The wagyu meatball sub was so delicious the meatball's well seasoned and seeded bun tasted fresh, the sauce was well even and very tasty. The summer corn slice was great light airy and the tomatoes on top and the cheese was excellent! Would order again. The oatmeal cream pie was a nice dessert to complete my meal! Tasted home made. I'm rating Gary's Pizza as a Boston 4 (or a NYC 3)... that being said, it was one of the better pizza spots in the area. I usually prefer a triangle slice, but sometimes ya gotta go for something different! They have plenty of different topping options, so I'd recommend trying something new. It's a casual shop, so I'd recommend taking your pizza to go. The service is fast, just as expected. I'd consider coming back, but Pinocchio's in Harvard Square still remains supreme when it comes to the square (rectangle) slice! read more

Phenomenal. Crispy crust that's light and airy inside. Unique toppings that wouldn't scare a pizza purist away. So much flavor. Not much space to dine in, but we took it with us and enjoyed at the park. One slice is enough for one person, but we enjoyed splitting them up for a taste test. Define worth the visit. It's a good pizza shop. The slices aren't exactly cheap and it's not your typically thin slice but it's good. Not too many places to sit here so I recommend ordering to go. The shop is also new and clean. Here is what I thought of the pizza: It's a thicker square pizza. The crust is almost bread and the toppings are good. Half pizzas can generally feed 2 people and full pizza can feed 2-3. Marinate pie is pretty good. Spicy soppressata is my favorite. The pepperoni came off too salty. Cute South End pizza spot! Really small inside, so I wouldn't plan on dining in. There is a park nearby with benches to eat at though. The slices are premade so they just need to be warmed up and it doesn't take too long to get. I'm honestly not the biggest fan of their pizza, but that's because I prefer a thinner slice. That being said, I do really like that their pizza is so flavorful!! I am obsessed with the desserts here. Genuinely my favorite tiramisu that I've found so far in the city. read more

I will dream about the spring asparagus pizza. I assume it's seasonal and I already am sad about it disappearing from the menu. Perfect cheesy, gooey toppings with crispy cheese around the edges, fluffy yet crunchy base, salty richness from the egg yolks, nice snappy asparagus - this is what pizza dreams are made of. And this is coming from a thin crust girl! Service was so friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is that there's no seating, which is a me problem because I don't live close and wanted to experience the pizza goodness right away. Luckily there are places to sit outside if you walk a bit. Not great for the winter so I guess I'll just have to come a bunch of times in the summer. read more

Additionally they sell a variety of breads and they look and smell delicious. Jeff was super kind and gave us three loafs complimentary. " fresh & delicious " Place is clean and well furnished. Staff is friendly. Service is efficient. We got the margarita pizza . Portion was generous, ingredients tasted fresh . Sauce and cheese was good could have added a bit more cheese ; felt they trying to skimp a bit ; just add enough please don't be trying to skimp. It did taste super fresh though . The dough definitely tasted fresh as well . If they put a bit more cheese it would be a five star experience. I definitely will be back just will tell them to add more cheese , lol. Small little place for takeout. We got a half pepperoni pie w/jalapeño, a mushroom slice, and a margarita slice. Frankly the pizza is clearly excellent. Even looks the part. But the truth is - the half pie is $22 (a full is $42!), and this one was definitely not made fresh. I get it with the slices but id expect a half pie to be made from scratch and piping hot. Kinda disappointing honestly, and with those prices...we expected better. It's a shame given how good the pizza is. If the pizza was made fresh it'd be 5 stars. I tried this new place for lunch today and was really impressed. The Roman style pizza was delicious - especially the spring asparagus with cheese and egg yolk; a tasty, subtle blend of creamy, salty goodness. The store, itself, is clean and beautifully decorated and service was fast and efficient. They also have an array of non-pizza offerings, including house made breads (the focaccias looked really good!), sandwiches, and desserts. gary's pizza is the newest restaurant from the folks who run mistral and mooo, so i had relatively high hopes for this. i'm not sure what constitutes "roman" style pizza, but this is square pieces of pizza with various flavors. menu is quite extensive outside of pizza; they have gelato pints and various desserts to go, as well as salads. they carry a limited but interesting selection of sodas with some coke products and carry local mi nina chips. service was slammed and i would recommend to order ahead - between ordering and receiving pizza it was about 15-20 minutes. no place to sit- this is a grab and go spot. for the pizza: WOW! definitely worth the 6-7 bucks for a slice. the crust is chewy with a spring and has a crispy, crunchy bottom. got a sampler of flavors to see what all the fuss is about. pepperoni is good, but compared to the others, is just OK. spring asparagus was a show stopper - the salted egg yolk really tied the flavors of the pizza together and was a nice touch. spicy soppressata was amazing with the pepper and hot honey and was perfectly sweet and spicy. the fig one was good but i would have preferred a fig jam over a half fig - i ended up squeezing the fig over the pizza. the fig pizza was HEAVY on the gorgonzola (which i loved) but can see how that could be a deterrent to others. flavors are strong - come here for a great slice! read more

Work in the area & would go for lunch when they first opened. Pizza always had that perfect crunch. Very tasty pizza, but in the last few months quality has dipped. When ordering online they send burnt pizza that tastes like it's been sitting all day. Go in for lunch & you'll be waiting in a line inside a very small pizzeria that gets very hot.
