The Sicilian style pizza is huge. It also had a really good tomato sauce. The only thing it was lacking on was the cheese.

I'm new and a regular customer now at ninos, my favorite things are the wings and chicken deluxe sub that I can turn into my own buffalo chicken n cheese sub, not to mention the cheese cake is so fluffy it feels filling on its own, but the sweetness is so comforting you want more. The ranch is something you cannot find in the store trust me I've tried nothing comes close, the wings are awesome perfect ratio of crispy and soft in my opinion, LOVE THE KNOTS THEY ARE ADDICTIVE. Yes it's a little pricey but honestly it's worth it, your paying for quality and comfort and let me tell you it IS comforting, after eating only half my sub I'm ready for a nap but the flavor of how everything mixes together has me wanting more, it's worth the price, and even if you have left overs they are still good the next day, I save my sub in the fridge and eat it the next day for lunch and it's still good, the breads not too hard you have to play tug of war with it and not too soft it falls apart the food is top notch to me

We stopped on our way to Orlando for dinner as it's not too far off the highway. Nino's looks like it has been there forever. The front has a large takeout area and to the side is a dining room. The menu is Italian oriented but offers other items such as burgers and salads. The food was really mediocre with a couple of bright spots. The eggplant in my Eggplant Parm was sliced super thin but was rubbery. The dish could have had more cheese. My son said his Chicken Parm was okay but could have used more sauce. 16 year old ordered broccoli bites that clearly had been frozen. The wedding soup was good. I was impressed by the salads which were very fresh (especially the tomatoes!) I really would not go back for the food but it is a step above regular fast food. If we ever stop by again a better bet might be the pizza which looked good. Our server was super sweet and the food came out very quickly.

A colleague and I needed a spot for lunch, so we hit Nino's. We were seated immediately and beverage orders were taken and brought out shortly. I ordered the lunch lasagna special which came with a small salad and a couple of garlic knots. I can honestly say that the knots were the highlight of lunch. Soft, hot and bursting with yummy goodness. The lasagna was unimpressive and average, nothing to write home about. Service was mediocre at best. My sweet tea glass sat empty for most of my visit without any attention from our server. If I'm in an Italian mood and in VB, I'll opt for Pizza Mia instead.

Well, I had hoped for better given the more recent favorable reviews, but unfortunately food here was just very average. It started out with a sweet waitress that apparently didn't understand anything we asked for, so another waitress would come back to the table to ask for a repeat of what we had asked for. If we asked for more than one thing at a time, it was too much for the waitress to handle. Example: Can we get a glass of ice cubes and extra napkins. The napkins came out, but no ice. When we reminded her we needed the ice, we also asked for a to-go box. The ice came out but no box. At any rate, food service was quite slow. One person at our table ordered a pizza, and the other 3 ordered pasta dishes. Pasta dishes came with side salads which were small salads served on plates, and the salad could have been colder and crisper. Next the pizza came out. The one positive is that there was no upcharge for an extra splash of red sauce on the pizza. But the rest of us waited another 10 minutes before our meals came out. Pasta entrees are advertised to come with a side salad and a garlic knot. Two meals came out with a garlic knot and one did not. The garlic knots were good. The pasta dishes were all just mediocre. The pasta was cooked fine, but the sauces were bland. We were never asked if we wanted a refill of our drinks nor were we asked if we wanted to order dessert after our meals. I would say this place is okay if you just want to stop in for a pizza, but the pasta entrees were nothing special. They also offer hamburgers, subs, sandwiches and calzones, and I cannot speak to how those items might pan out if ordered. I'm not sure that I'll be back to try them.

If they can nail that, the kitchen probably knows what they're doing. And it was great! Seasoned beautifully. Fried perfectly. There were little tiny peppers. Some were flattened , breaded & fried. Just great! I ordered the bolognese. The Hubs, linguine & clams. Mine was rich & thick. Seasoned to perfection. Pasta cooked perfectly. Kenny was crazy about his dish.! In addition to 12 clams , IN THEIR SHELLS , it was loaded with clams that obviously came out a shell that day. Warm Asiago bread was brought to the table. Wow! So good. Can't not have dessert! I had pistachio affogato. It was pistachio gelato, with a pistachio cream that was coating the glass. Finished with an espresso shot poured over the top. This is my new fav dessert! The hubs had blueberry panna cotta . He said it was as good as it gets. The server was friendly & attentive. I wish I remembered her name. The dining room is bright & decorated just enough to not be offensive. ( some places have plastic grapes stuck on the walls with dusty wine bottles.) We have been back 3 times. I will review separately as the last time we went, we had a great pizza! Definitely on our list of great Vero restaurants.

Wow! What a disappointment! The server ( I think her name was Ellen. Although she did tell us…read morethat) and the obviously not made in house , carrot cake. Are the only reason I gave it one star. We started with fried calamari. It came out way too fast to have been made to order. It was a tad over fried, so it was rubbery. Tasted like the kind you buy frozen . You know, already breaded. The order was a large quantity , but that doesn't make it good. I ordered shrimp & scallop Pomadoro. The hubs ordered linguine with white clam sauce. That had 2 clams in shells on the top of the pasta, and the rest was canned clams. Believe me, You can tell. My dish was almost fair. The menu read tomato basil cream sauce. More like marinara with a touch of cream. A leaf of basil chopped up on top. The shrimp, scallops & pasta were cooked well, but the almost raw garlic and heavy handed on the salt took away from what might have been an acceptable dish. We also had minestrone soup. Could have fooled me. There was not a bean to be found. The pasta was pastina & it had some type of shredded meat?? Lastly, the coffee was not drinkable. We've heard people, at times , say they have had coffee that tasted like dishwater . We never experienced that until tonight. I ordered decaf & the hubs had reg. They both sucked. One sip was all it took. . We didn't mention anything to the waitress as it's not anything to do with her. But I will write this review as well as a google one. The place was packed. It's dark in the front room . It was ok in the side room where we were. Typical Italian decor. Wine bottles on the walls, that kind of thing. Again we were really disappointed. It's hard to spend $125 and not really enjoy it. Now we know. Armani's in downtown Vero is 100% better. We went there 3 days ago. I will write about that place as that will receive 5 stars. Oh and don't bother with the extra calories by eating the garlic bread . It was Italian bread cut into French fry shape with way too much garlic powder & low grade parmigiana cheese.

The happy hour drink prices are incredible and a great draw. We all enjoyed 2 drinks during happy hour with some appetizers. All our apps tasted delicious, especially the escargot. Dipping the bread in the buttery sauce was top tier. Unfortunately, our server was really rushing us through happy hour to order our meal. We had just flown into town to visit our parents and had this reservation for about a week. Since the moment we sat down we felt extremely rushed to order our apps and entrees at the same time (at 4:30). We told her several times that we wanted to enjoy some drinks and apps before ordering but she kept pushing. She was very nice but we felt very rushed until the restaurant started to fill up. Once she had more tables to serve she seemed to chill out on us. But it really put a damper on our meal. Everyone had a clean plate and was very happy with our entrees. The triple fish special was delicious. I would have preferred it not to be breaded but I would definitely eat it again. By the end of our meal we were happy with our server and had a great rest of the night.

When we did get bread it was quite raw in the middle and after we asked for it to be cooked a little more thoroughly the next time it came out crispier but still raw in the center. I understand that it can get busy but it felt a bit overkill that an hour after ordering our food finally, though very slowly started coming out. It was okay to say the most, I ordered the Pizza which I was rather disappointed in. If I wasted to spend almost $20 on a pizza there's a better place near my house. This place was rather disappointing The outdoors area is nice looking, and the Ambiance is alright, but if you're used to mosquitoes and no-see-ums then I would go inside. Unfortunately this is not somewhere I would avidly seek out to eat at, and the only reason this place is receiving two stars from me is because some of the people in my group enjoyed their meals while others said it was disappointing. I ended up trying one of my group members pasta and it was just flavorless besides a fish flavor which wasn't all too pleasant (we did not end up taking the leftovers of it due to this) Two hours after we arrived everything was served and people have eaten. If you wanted a somewhat quick meal then this is not your place. The cannoli was pretty good although all together flavorless. The tiramisu was something else, not in a good way though. The lady fingers were dry and brittle, the only thing you could taste was the cacao powder on top of it. I did ask for it to go so that may be my fault but I didn't expect a half empty little container of it. The mascarpone was almost a liquid which was new to me. I was altogether highly disappointed in this establishment as I expected much more from somewhere that claimed that "It's an Art at Pomodoro" and that they strive to provide the highest quality dining experience. Looking back this place was definitely more deserving of one of the star.
