    Banana Chai Latte

Absolutely love this place. The artwork implants and overall vibe of the place is so welcoming and relaxing. The playlist was fire! And the employees were exceptional! Dom, who started off in their San Jose location, is one of the best barista I've had! I also tried the bacon cheddar waffle, and it was everything! Definitely a must try if you come here. I absolutely love the Ube latte and also the banana chai! I will definitely be back here again

Cool spot, great vibe. Excellent coffee - my favorite is Dirty Diana with macadamia milk.

Back again after trying more of their drinks, including the celebration latte, hazelnut mocha and banana caramel latte. Every drink has been delicious and the baristas are all super friendly. To top it off, I believe they are black women owned. Highly recommend :)

A very cute spot!!! I always love trying different coffee spots, and this one in downtown SJ is great! I had an iced mabuhay ube latte with oatmilk and it was great! Not too sweet, the coffee wasn't too acidic, and it was pretty balanced :) The staff seem to enjoy their jobs, there are cute little polaroids of them at work and around having fun! Super cute experience and coffee; I'd definitely come back!

One of the few coffee cafe's near San Francisco Caltrain station - open at 7am weekdays! I got a chai latte & added some raw sugar to my sweetness taste. It was good - 3.5 stars! I do want to grab something hot to drink for the train journey down the Peninsula! No more of Phil's Coffee...such weak beverages. The service was prompt - 4 stars! They have pastries & make (!) waffles. The interior is very colorful & cosy with art from a black artist. 4stars. Give this San Jose home-grown café a try if you're at the Caltrain station area early or anytime. It has such cool vibes.

Nirvana Soul is a cute little coffee shop that opened up right next to Cafe Okawari in mission bay. The vibes inside are very cute and retro with tons of fuchsia pink. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming, and the drink menu is very unique. When I went I decided to get the banana coffee latte with oat milk the drink tasted like creamy banana. The banana flavor was mild however but the drink was still good and creamy banana tasting. The banana flavor also did not taste artificial which I appreciated. I definitely recommend trying out another drink though if you like bolder flavors, like I normally prefer.

Cute place for coffee. Staff was welcoming. Coffee was good. We also tried vegan muffin , that was also nice. It has limited seatings. Looks like favorite spots among locals.

Yay another amazing Black owned spot! Haven't had the food here but the latte was DIVINE, my friend and I were amazed. Fantastic vibes as well, bright and colorful with gorgeous art, and located in beautiful South Beach. Can't wait to come back! Also I do reviews on TikTok so check out @sfyelpfinds!

Ok this is a surprisingly cool spot for being right next to the SF Caltrain station! Love the specialty coffees and drinks, and the mochi cake and the sweet potato pie were bombbbb can't wait to try more menu items!

Nirvana Soul is a cute and vibrant conveniently located within walking distance of Caltrain, Oracle Park, China Basin, etc. They offer a nice selection of food, pastries, and unique lattes. I stopped by on a weekday morning. There was a short line when I arrived, but it moved quite quickly. Most people were just grabbing coffee and pastries to-go, so despite the small space, there was seating available both indoors (high tops and a bench) and outdoors (cafe tables and chairs on the sidewalk, with some foot traffic). I ordered the mabuhay ube latte (espresso, steamed milk, ube, and coconut) and the chorizo con queso waffle (Spanish chorizo, Oaxaca cheese, and jalapeno). The latte was def yummy - flavorful without being too sweet or overpowering. The waffle was cooked perfectly: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and a good balance of sweet and savory with a bit of butter and syrup. It was pretty filling, so if I were to order it again, I would probably save half or share with another person. I can't wait to come back and try more of their unique lattes and goodies!

Located across from The Beacon, this is a new addition to the Mission Bay coffee scene. I came by in the morning and there was no line. Order at the register, find a seat, and pick up your order once it's called. Even though coffee is in the name, the menu had plenty of non-coffee options as well as sweet & savory waffles. I picked one of their Specialty items, a regular-sized White Rose Latte ($6.00 + tax) and requested Light Sweet. +Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue +Not too sweet w/subtle rose flavor +I removed the lid and noticed a cute heart. I think they should leave the drinks uncapped so customers can appreciate the latte art! -On the milky side: Espresso wasn't very strong. Side notes: 1.) Rewards: Sign up w/phone # to earn points 2.) Indoor counter seating and outdoor table seating 3.) Restroom available for customers 4.) Walking distance from King Street Caltrain Station *Verdict: Since they have such a diverse menu, I want to return to try more of their offerings.

They always have friendly people, and their coffee tastes great! Im happy I'm able to come here in the mornings to grab coffee with my pup. Yes, you can go inside with them to order :). The syrups are a bit too sweet for me, and the hazelnut mocha was especially sweet. Not sure how they make that one but less sugar and more chocolate & hazelnut depth&distinction would make it taste better

I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. I do like the natural lighting coming into the shop, but nothing too special.

But Katsu is really becoming the new hype of the day for Japanese food, following the Sushi, Ramen, Japanese Curry, Katsu trend. So I came in with a critical view. I feel like Yoshoku in general may be next but I yet again digress. The box sandwich came in a cute little box. The inside was packed so I couldn't get a chance to fully appreciate the cafe, but the service was nice though the pay line may have moved slower than hoped. I'll say this. This is "the" best katsu sando in the bay. The katsu is crispy, but little on the softer side. But this hardness matches perfectly with the absolutely tender, soft, juicy pork wrapped inside. I'm looking at the menu again and it all makes sense. The pork has been in shio koji, making the meat ever so tender while adding the subtle but complicated marinated flavor. The cabbage is plenty, but not over packed to take away from the main Katsu flavor. What really perfects it for me, was not only the sweet and savory katsu sauce, but the mayo with dash of I think a karashi mustard. That slight tingle, the perfect kick gives a powerful awakening of flavor that really sets the it apart. This is art, an artisan. Culinary art is the refuge no raging rampant AI slop "art" can ever hope to touch. Until the day we get some cyborg implant to our brain into gustatory, olfactory functions. Even then, I don't think any tasteless tech bro are hopeless to create anything unique or beautiful.

It had a very subtle matcha flavor, but I couldn't taste the grassiness. The sea green color was aesthetically pleasing when combined with the grassy matcha hue. As a drink, it is refreshing, but as a matcha latte, I felt there was too much milk, which drowns out the matcha flavor. 6/5 Kopi Klepon, Iced This was too delicious, I kept stealing sips from my partner (instead of drinking my own drink) and would order this one again. There was some coconutty sweetness, which added delicious complexity, and slight bitterness that pairs well with the sweet. In terms of flavor, this coffee drink rivals Vietnamese coffee. 4/5 Pandan Bolu This sponge cake-like pastry was springy and bouncy, with a medium green hue. It was busy, but the line moved quickly and we were able to order after a short wait. When I originally requested oat milk for my latte, the staff kindly mentioned that they use lactose-free milk by default. To help me decide, she even offered small samples of both the lactose-free pandan milk and the oat pandan milk to compare. That extra touch of hospitality was so appreciated! We ordered a few Kopi Pandans (with the default lactose-free milk) alongside a couple of their pandan desserts. The Kopi Pandan was brilliantly balanced--it had just the right amount of fragrant pandan without being overpowering or tasting grassy. Having tried my fair share of pandan drinks that missed the mark, I know how hard it is to get that flavor profile just right. Of the two desserts we tried, the Pandan Layered Cake slice was the standout. Kopi Kita Coffee also offers a few savory Indonesian snacks (like lemper and arem-arem), which I definitely look forward to trying on our next visit!
