First time here, we were walking to a giants game and came across this place. There was quite a line but the banana bread cappuccino was worth it. It was great! It's a small place so you get your coffee and go. Try it!!

Glad I got here when I did, right at opening, because there was a big line that started to form only moments after that. Not only because of the line, but because the coffee was delicious and a perfect way to start my day. I had seen this place on one of my neighborhood walks, and the line I had seen previously caught my interest. This particular day I went with the Honey Lavender Latte, which was so good. I tend to like my coffee a little on the sweeter side, and although this maybe wasn't as sweet as I would have liked, I completely enjoyed it. Additionally, their daily menu didn't list the Golden Goat Latte, which is what I definitely wanted to try, given their name. They notified me you can still order it, even if it isn't listed. Keep that in mind, in case you also don't see a particular drink listed. Great coffee, great location.

You know you are in SF when you stand in a 15 person deep line for a cup of coffee. Despite the wait time of 20 minutes, was it worth it? Probably not. We had the Honey Lavender Latte and a drip coffee. It was ok, but nothing special. Note that if you go for a cold coffee and ask for no ice, you'll only get the drink 3/4th full. It is in an alleyway, and there is practically no seating inside except for a couple of benches for folks waiting for their order. There is a small gender neutral bathroom.

Golden Goat has been at the top of my cafe list forever! With my best friend home, the one girl I can always cafe hop with, we started our morning here. We both really enjoyed our drinks and the vibe. The cafe reminds me of what I'd find in Asia. A hidden cafe down an alley, literally. It took us some time to find it, but when we did, it was like a watering hole. Ordering is simple: stand in line, order, and pay, then wait to be called. They have a couple of small benches inside, but people primarily grab and go. The vibes were all that--friendly, trendy, and hip. They're also dog-friendly, which is a plus in my eyes. Our drinks came out fast and were good. I really wanted to try their pandan drink, but unfortunately, they didn't have it available. Instead, I got an Iced Banana Bread Matcha with Oat Milk. It was superb. A prevalent banana flavor with some nuttiness and sweetness. It was well-balanced and creamy. I'd order it again. My best friend enjoyed her drink, too! Golden Goat Coffee is a hidden gem in the city and is worth a visit. I would love to come back to try their pandan drink finally! Parking is limited to the street, since they're off 3rd Street.

This is a cute spot for coffee, and some uniquely flavored lattes. There's not much seating inside, so it's more of a grab and go spot. I got the banana bread latte and liked it! I asked for less sweetness, which the barista was able to accommodate. The drink was creamy and spiced well. They have other fun flavors on their menu that I'd like to try in the future!

Stopped by Golden Goat on a rainy morning for much needed coffee and I was excited to try their housemade lattes. I ended up getting their banana bread latte after I heard they ran out of the seasonal orange cinnamon syrup. It turned out to be delicious! The banana bread latte had a strong banana flavor with tasting artificial or too sweet. It smelled amazing with the coffee aroma and I think it may be the best specialty latte I've had in a while. I'll definitely be back to try their other flavors (the cardamom also spoke to me!). It's a small space with only a couple of benches for seating but such a cute cafe that reminds me of the hole-in-wall specialty coffee shops in Asia.

Unfortunately they didn't have the pandan banana matcha which I've heard so much about, but I tried the banana bread cappuccino, which was good! It was very smooth and lightly sweet -- very drinkable. I didn't taste any banana though. It's also a pretty small cup though for the price. The baristas are super friendly and quick. Although there was a line on a Friday at the 11am, it moved pretty fast. There isn't really any seating inside. Most of the pastries were sold out so I would come earlier nest time. I will be back for the matcha!

Golden Goat has a golden atmosphere! The barista taking my order was so kind! Several customers who came in were chatting with one of the other baristas, so it was very clear to see that the staff here establishes good connections with their customers. I got an iced banana bread cappuccino less sweet, and it was good. I am so glad I got to try it! What a fun menu item! My sister loves their vanilla lattes. I will be back next time I'm in SF.

    Be back for better options.

This tiny hole-in-the-wall hidden gem towards the one-way street at the side of the building was worth a visit! Came here late when it looked like closing time, but stayed opened! Luckily, the only drink I could get is the drip coffee with goats milk. Not as bold as I expected; would be better off for a decaf. Might be back once I made it to Golden Goat Coffee just in time.

Cafe is very small, more or less a walk up and go situation, located in an alley. There are a few stools/ benches to sit and wait for your coffee but not really any tables to hang out at and get comfortable. I ordered the orange blossom cappuccino from their specials with almond milk - 10/10. Latte art came out beautifully and the flavor was divine, not too sweet. I could tell they use high quality espresso. Baristas were friendly and attentive.

Somehow this became one of my favorite matcha spots in the city, and it's a pity it's tucked away in a little corner in Mission Bay (with difficult to access hours)! Small cute space (but def not a space to go do work) - I'm sure it gets busy on weekends but for me it wasn't too bad on a weekday! Unfortunately, they rotate flavors so they didn't have what I wanted (pandan matcha) but I got to try the honey lavender matcha. The matcha wasn't powdery or bitter, was well-balanced in terms of flavor, and they pulled off the lavender without making it taste like I was eating soap - always a plus. I want to return to try their other flavors (and hopefully they bring the ones they've had before back!). Just because the hours and location and space inside are a bit rough for customers, overall: 4.5/5 (rounded up)

I love going here! It's super convenient and close to work. It's nice to go here with my coworkers and we can walk to the park after to chat :) It's a small place in the alley way. Sometimes the line can be quite long but service is fast. I also love that they have some unique drinks to try. There are also pastry options and chocolate chip cookies. My go to is the iced vanilla matcha latte!

Brutal honesty: The matcha isn't great. Despite the beautiful color and innovative flavors (pandan banana!), the most prominent flavor was banana & milk. I couldn't taste the matcha & I wasn't sure if the pandan was really there. The drink didn't taste like much. I do hope the coffee is better & if I am in the area I will stop by, but probably won't go out of my way again.

Great coffee and espresso, a solid selection of pastries from a local baker (that sells at farmers markets usually). Good matcha as well.

So we got an extra drink for free. Trying the iced latte, it was pretty disappointing lol. I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. I do like the natural lighting coming into the shop, but nothing too special.

On the days we have gone, the line has varied from being out the door to a quick walk in and order - truly just depends. Regardless of the long line, these drinks are soooo good. Upon entering the coffee shop, you'll see a good amount of seating, but for the times we have gone, the majority of the seats are taken. It is definitely a variety of people socializing, working, reading books, or just hanging out. Parking is metered or street parking, and we haven't had any issue finding parking! Our go to orders include the Mocha Dream Espresso Cloud and the Nitro Mango, but we have also gotten the Hojicha Cloud, which is amazing as well. But Katsu is really becoming the new hype of the day for Japanese food, following the Sushi, Ramen, Japanese Curry, Katsu trend. So I came in with a critical view. I feel like Yoshoku in general may be next but I yet again digress. The box sandwich came in a cute little box. The inside was packed so I couldn't get a chance to fully appreciate the cafe, but the service was nice though the pay line may have moved slower than hoped. I'll say this. This is "the" best katsu sando in the bay. The katsu is crispy, but little on the softer side. But this hardness matches perfectly with the absolutely tender, soft, juicy pork wrapped inside. I'm looking at the menu again and it all makes sense. The pork has been in shio koji, making the meat ever so tender while adding the subtle but complicated marinated flavor. The cabbage is plenty, but not over packed to take away from the main Katsu flavor. What really perfects it for me, was not only the sweet and savory katsu sauce, but the mayo with dash of I think a karashi mustard. That slight tingle, the perfect kick gives a powerful awakening of flavor that really sets the it apart. This is art, an artisan. Culinary art is the refuge no raging rampant AI slop "art" can ever hope to touch. Until the day we get some cyborg implant to our brain into gustatory, olfactory functions. Even then, I don't think any tasteless tech bro are hopeless to create anything unique or beautiful.
