Something about this coffee shop chain and branding gets me all excited and giddy inside. I love the colorful interiors of the shops, creativity and expression just seem to ooze off the walls. They have such creative and yummy sounding drinks i want to try all of them! I got the banana dirty chai latte with oatmilk less sweet and my partner got the golden waffle and americano. The banana dirty chai was yummy and on the sweet side even after less sweet but i still loved it and chugged the whole thing by the end of my drive to Napa. The golden waffle is so fluffy and looks like alot of sugar but brushes off easily and doesnt taste too sweet, kind of like how sugat donuts are. I love the fun vibe inside and this location even has an upstairs people can study or work. Overall love this coffee shop and u should def check it out!! read more

My first time in Nirvana Soul coffee place! I really like how it looks from the outside: giant window, bright colors, outside sitting, and it is quite spacious inside as well. There is a second floor even! It's a lot to choose from specialty lattes and teas selection. The menu has some food options (ex. Waffle, pastries). There is a restroom available, parking in from of the entrance, is there is a garage parking nearby. The ambiance is really cool, they have a piano :) The prices are around average: ~$6-$7 depending on the size (regular or large). read more

I have been to Nirvana soul a number of times. I enjoy their drinks, and their service is usually very friendly. Drinks usually come out promptly dependent on how busy they area. The coffee shop has a great vibe to it. They have some different spaces to work or hang out. Admittedly, I don't go to this Nirvana as much because I don't like parking in downtown. Once you've gotten situated, check out their menu of drinks and order at the register. After placing the order, head down the hall where they'll put out the drinks for pick up. They have a few flavored drinks in addition to those classic espresso drinks. Furthermore, they have whole beans as well as swag for purchase. Check out the rack to see the freshest offerings. This time around, I ordered the honey lavender latte and it was delicious. The rich boldness from the coffee paired well with the sweetness from the honey and the fragrance from the lavender activated all the senses to keep you salivating for more. Their staff are friendly, patient, and efficient. There weren't too much interactions aside from the order and pick up for me but from what I observed during their interactions with other patrons, they seem to be extremely welcoming. Overall, Nirvana checks all the boxes for a hip coffee shop for the busy professional or student. The coffees are tasty and very palatable. The prices are comparable to other coffee shops and the quality of drinks and service are above average. The atmosphere is comfortable for meetings with friends and work. It gets a bit noisy with the music that's playing and the constant flow of customers, but if those busy sounds help you focus, then you'll find that this spot will be perfect for you! This is my second time trying Nirvana Soul, the first was at a work event in San Francisco and I was so happy to get to visit again at this downtown San Jose location. The cafe is welcoming with art everywhere, the menu has something for everyone and a lot of fun and unique flavor offerings. They also offer pastries. I ordered the white rose latte and my husband ordered the banana chai, both iced. While we were waiting we looked at the art in the cafe and within a few minutes we were on our way. The banana chai is wonderful, I'm not a big banana person but the flavor wasn't overpowering just a good mix of spicy chai with a bright sweetness from the banana (not laffy taffy sweetness or banana smoothie overpowering flavor) I would 100% order one of these in the future for myself. The white rose latte had a much lighter flavor than the chai, but was a great balance of espresso, sweet, and floral. It wasn't too sweet though and I loved how the floral flavor came through. Im so glad my girlfriend and I found this spot in downtown San Jose! We ended up going with the banana chai and it was incredible. I'm usually a cold coffee person, but this tasted great as a hot drink. This drink is very rich, so if you would like to cut back on the richness, I would recommend it with oat milk instead of regular milk. I also ended up getting a chorizo con queso waffle, which was a waffle with chorizo pieces and cheese inside the waffle. Staff was patient with us and was helpful at explaining the menu. I heard some great things about nirvana soul so I went out of my way to check it out today. I ordered a large, hot coffee and they told me they were out of large cups. What a bummer. I got a medium instead, the coffee tasted good but was barely room temperature. They did offer to brew a fresh pot but said it'd take around 10 minutes. This is a solid coffee shop with an awesome vibe. The music playlist at this coffee shop is on point! They were playing OG Bay Area hip hip classics last Sunday. I just finished my half-marathon and was craving a coffee drink so we came with my family here. I thoroughly enjoyed their Ube latte (iced). It had so much flavor and had more "Ube" taste than the other ube drinks I've had. This is by far, my favorite Ube coffee drink. There are other drinks and specialty waffles which I do want to taste for next time. There isn't much space for seating but that's ok. I enjoyed the colorful and vibrant artwork on the walls too! This will be a review of the restaurants community outreach program. I recently found out that they sell the pastries that are past their sell time at a discount. I over heard a lady explaining about a app that pairs restaurants and shops with people looking for a deal on food items. I wish that they would give it away for free . But I understand in the real world, businesses need to make money. I totally don't mind paying a discount price for day old pastries. I love pizza the next day,so why not try a mixed bag. I'm a fan of Nirvana Soul Coffee. There are a number of indie coffee shops in the area, and I've enjoyed their coffee more than one of their competitors. (And the staff, who have uniformly been relaxed and helpful) If I had a bit more time, I would settle in for an hour or so of laptop time with my Joe. The rectangular-shaped space has some nice areas that look good for chatting with a friend, or doing your own thing, solo. I believe there's a piano at Nirvana, too, but I've not seen anyone on it. Tried this place for the first time today. It was not overly busy for 10:15 on a weekday morning. The cashier was friendly and helpful. My friend ordered an espresso and an almond croissant. I had an Americano with cream and a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll didn't look extraordinary but the taste was absolutely wonderful. The Americano was very smooth with no bitter aftertaste. We sat outside at a table with a sun shade and were able to have a good conversation. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but that is more of a downtown issue that the coffee shop cannot control. read more

The waffles are surprisingly way more filling than I expected. I ordered the bacon cheddar one, but it was a little more undercooked than I normally "waffle." It was good, but not something I would personally order again. I drenched it in syrup and it was still delicious, however (isn't everything once it's drenched in syrup?!). All the walls are filled with artwork. Even the menu is colorful. We ordered a regular iced honey lavender latte with whole milk and a regular iced mabuhay ube latte with oat milk. Both were very tasty. Not strong but also not too sweet. I think it is a perfect mixture of coffee and sweetness. The service was very helpful and the coffee came out pretty fast after ordering.
