Food was absolutely amazing! I forgot to take pictures of all the food but everything we ordered was delicious!! The soup, octopus, spanakopita, branzino, and the lemon chicken soup. We also ordered dessert and drinks.

I came here to celebrate my co workers birthdays in September and it was an amazing experience. The waitress was so incredibly kind and patient as we had a larger party. We had a few people with allergies and she was careful to review what to stay away from on the menu. Aside from that, the food was delicious!! Wish I got a picture of allllll the appetizers we got. I will definitely be back.

I would say 3.5 stars. Originally I wanted to visit this place for their restuarant week menu but when we arrived, it seemed like restuarant week was over. (We did a quick google and seemed like it ended for this restaurant a couple days prior). There's cute outdoor seating but due to the hot weather, we opted to sit inside with the air conditioner. We arrived during lunch so there was a prefix lunch special for $29 that includes appetizer, main, and chef choice dessert. We ordered the fried calamari and the spanakopita. Originally we wanted the mussels or the meat skewer but was notified that both were not available which was quite disappointing. For mains we ordered a chicken kebab and a mousaka. There was also complimentary bread that was crispy but the olive oil it came with was flavorless. The calamari was good! The batter was light and crispy and the dip was good. But I would say the portion size was tiny. We ate like 2-3 pieces of calamari each. The spanakopita was good too! The layers were so light and crispy. By main course we were quite full already. The fries that came with the chicken kebab were so soggy. I was quite disappointed by how soggy the fries were. The chicken kebab was also dry and flavorless. The mousaka on the other hand was incredibly flavorful and delicious. Never tried it before but really enjoyed it. For the chefs choice dessert, I wasn't quite sure what it was but it was quite heavy like cookie dough. Personally I wasn't a fan but my friend enjoyed it. Service was nice in the beginning but by the end, it took a lot of time to get the attention to the waiter to pack up our food and to get the bill. Also, they charge a credit card fee 3% for all credit cards which personally I've never seen in a dine in restaurant so I was quite surprised. And also the suggested tip on the receipt is after tax and other fees which is not really how tip should be calculated. Overall: I enjoyed most of the food, ambiance was nice, but I do think it was quite pricy and I personally would not come again.

Overall, solid Greek place. Pros: -Beautiful decor -Really attentive service throughout -Octopus was very good even though we had read some reviews beforehand that it was overcooked. Ours was a perfect texture. The fava puree was a star. -Kembapakia Politika--ground lamb skewers with a tomato sauce, pita and French fries. Classic tastes, didn't disappoint -Bread and olives: AMAZING (I do love good bread) Cons: -Watermelon salad was bright and refreshing but the mascarpone was a weird addition with unnecessary sweetness -The cod croquettes were decent but lacked a bit of flavor -It was a very hot day outside but the AC was either very low or not off for most of the visit. Very muggy towards the end!

The drink was wonderful. The service was great. I was greeted and given the name of the individual that would be serving me. I love the light fall decor.

Nisi Estiatorio had always caught my eye while walking through Astoria, the fresh, sleek look and pop of pink bougainvillea make it such a charming spot. We finally decided to try it for a Friday date night. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, our waiter didn't seem very welcoming or cheerful. Luckily, the weather was perfect for sitting outside which added to the experience. Drinks were okay, and while there was a live DJ, the vibe could've used a bit more energy (maybe stronger drinks would've helped!). We started with the $16 Kalamarkia (fried calamari with garlic aioli) really tasty and a great portion to share. The $26 Kotopoulo Souvlaki (chicken skewer with fries and salad) was fine, though the chicken was a little undercooked for my taste and I ran into some chewy bits. The highlight of the night was definitely the $28 Trahanoto Kotopoulo ( sautéed chicken with frumenty, mascarpone, and pesto), my fiancé and I were fighting over who would get to finish that dish. Overall, it's a beautiful restaurant on a lively street with a moderate price range -- worth a visit, especially for that trahanoto dish.

Food: Overall, had a pleasant meal, though there were a few inconsistencies. The grilled octopus had good flavor, though it was a bit overcooked and slightly chewy. The Greek salad was fresh, crisp, and well balanced. The complimentary bread was warm and delicious. My hanger steak leaned a little salty for my taste. The branzino was nicely seasoned. For dessert, the baklava had good flavor but was a bit too soft, possibly from being reheated. Sides are sold separately. While the flavors were generally enjoyable, I was hoping for a bit more precision in execution given the price point. Space: really pretty, clean, and reflective of Greece aesthetic. Service was good-- staff was pleasant. Drinks: I only got one drink--it was a little too sour for me but overall had a good balance of alcohol. Overall I had a good experience. I think with a little more consistency in preparation and execution of the food, it would really elevate the experience--especially at this price point.

All I have to say is come and eat! This place is great. I came for a girls night out and left so happy. The restaurant is larger than it looks and is nicely decorated. A lot of Greek wines in the menu. We tried the spanakopita, feta phyllo, and delicious grilled octopus. Perfect amount for 3 of us. Separately I ordered xifias souvlaki which is sword dish. It was served with lemon potatoes and salad. Very tasty

Really nice to see the space that once was the famed Athens Cafe go back to its Greek roots. My friend and I stopped here for dinner and its nice outdoor seating was definitely a huge deciding factor that lured us in. We arrived during their happy hour but were told that the special pricing only applied at the bar and not with regular seating...odd. They also didn't have a few things on the menu that we wanted like the Halloumi and the Hoirini Stavlisia, which was disappointing and left us wondering if they often don't have a full menu. Despite not having a few of the things we really wanted, we were happy with the food that we ordered: * Htapodaki (grilled octopus) - Pretty standard and most importantly, not dry * Horiatiki - traditional Greek salad that was done really well. Hard to mess this up unless you really wanted to * Feta Phyllo - we loved this. The honey and sesame seeds really balanced the feta cheese fried in the flaky phyllo * Lamb Kembarakia - disappointing. This came last and we shared the same confused look when we saw the 3 small pieces of lamb, some small grilled veggies, and a bunch of soggy fried potato slices. Not worth it at all and expensive. Service was okay, I felt like our waiter wasn't really helpful when it came to suggesting alternatives to the food we originally wanted that were unavailable and also didn't give any sort of explanation about the bar-only HH deal. The outdoor seating space is probably one of the nicer ones that I've dined at within NYC but 30th Ave is also a high-traffic area so keep in mind that though you are dining at the only restaurant on this triangular block, it won't be a tranquil setting.

Came for dinner and had a great meal here. My boyfriend and I easily made a reservation and tried: + kolokithakia chips - best thing + Horiatiki - tomatoes were awesome + Grilled lamb chops with lemon potatoes - excellent + Baklava - I don't care for it warm, but it was tasty Amazing open air vibes!

Beautifully decorated Greek music playing in the background - close your eyes and you feel like you're in Greece. Their happy hour is great because I had a dog I had to sit outside, it's the bar only starts at 4p Apps are all $9 I had the fried calamari w/ aoli sauce so yummy and the Greek spritz very refreshing. Staff is very friendly. All around a pleasant time.

One of the best Greek restaurants we have been to in New York , it's even worth the trip from Manhattan, located in the heart of Astoria this wonderful Greek establishment services freshly prepared Greek and Mediterranean specialties using freshest ingredients. Lovely ambiance makes you think that you visiting one of the Greek Islands. Super nice and professional service . Highly recommend to visit if you around the Area .

The host was attentive, and we were seated right away--always a good start. I was a little surprised when the server handed us the menus and we opened the front flap to discover... tablets. That said, I actually appreciated the photos of each menu item--it made ordering easier and faster. Now, the food. Hands down, this was the best Mediterranean food I've had in the U.S. We ordered the chicken shawarma tacos and a side of falafel. The falafel was soft on the inside (not dry at all) and crispy on the outside, sitting in a bed of the smoothest tahini cream I've ever tasted--and I don't even like tahini. The chicken was incredibly flavorful, and every bite actually had chicken. No skimping on the protein here. The pita pocket was small but soft and fresh, not dry. Best part: the chicken taco came with small sides of hummus, baba ganoush, creamed tahini, and finely chopped tomatoes and cucumbers. Boom. Every single element was delicious. One downside: there's only one restroom, it's small, and while it's tastefully decorated, it could have used a bit more attention. Would I go back? 100% yes. I honestly wish I could teleport this place back home with me so I could become a regular.

I did not appreciate the way she spoke to me and the attitude I received to the point my friends and I were in shock and after paying left most of our last drinks on the table because we had had such a poor experience at this restaurant. I understand it was one of the first nice days here in NYC and there were a lot of people sitting outside. I cannot believe that we did not even speak to our waitress until over an hour after sitting down. typically you at least stop by the table quickly to apologize and get a drink order. while I can be accommodating to the fact that the waitress said she was new, and she was apologetic as well as the manager's offer to comp one round of drinks, I am not understanding of the bartender's approach to argue with me about how a drink is made. cannot recommend going here until they get better service.

Located on First Avenue, between 61-62nd Streets. In warm weather, there are a few small outdoor tables. We have several appetizers for the table. We enjoyed the fresh, beautiful salad. Several of my colleagues were very impressed with the olive oil on the salad. I just know that all the food I ate was delicious. LOL ABOUT THAT SALAD--the beautiful red tomatoes, cut in quarter chunks were delicious. The round, thin slices of cucumber with a yummy dressing were great. I tasted a bit of sweetness at first bite with the cucumber slices . My faves were the tomatoes and cucumbers in the salad, there was also fresh red onion, green pepper, possibly red pepper too. Overall, a delicious salad, served feta cheese triangles. Other appetizers we enjoyed were: Spinach pie, fresh warm Pita triangles with delicious dips, a round, deep fried feta cheese ...if you can imagine an egg roll, but with feta cheese inside, and a honey sauce. my entrée was absolutely delicious. It was the Koftedes Plate, featuring delicious lamb/beef patties, juicy and delicious. As far as I was concerned, my flavor on these was totally lamb. Absolutely delicious. Also on the plate: mixed greens, red pepper delicious tzatziki sauce in a small dipping cup-perfect size. And a yummy rice portion-loved it! The lamb patties were on top of the warm pita. I loved this.!! It was flavorful, juicy, and delicious. Many of my colleagues ordered the chicken kebabs and they loved it. The plates also had mixed greens and a sauce. And one person had the dorado fish which she said was delicious; a small size portion size but delicious. I missed seeing the fish, I was busy eating the yummy food in front of us. Sorry, I didn't photo the fish. I look forward to coming back. I might even have the same thing again! It was so good. Service was excellent, friendly, fun and professional and patient. Atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. Unisex rest room was clean, and small. On the street, You'll see flowers surrounding the front windows and entrance. And, in nice weather, there are usually a few small tables outside. Sea Salt Restaurant is located on First Avenue between E. 61st St. and E. 62nd St. It is across the street from Rodney's, formally called Rodney Dangerfield's club. So if you need a reason to come to FIRST AVENUE..., you have Trader Joe's and Home Depot waiting for you, and Rodney's too, and a nearby Starbucks. See my photos of the February 2026 menu and some of the food we all enjoyed. I recommend this restaurant. They do serve alcohol. We did not partake in alcoholic beverages. The ambiance, service, experience, and food all coupled together to make a really nice time! We didn't have a reservation but luckily (and shockingly) there was plenty of room. We opted to sit outside on the patio as it was a lovely evening, and the inside was a little on the fancier/nicer side for our vibe and how we were dressed that night. Three of us ordered a bunch of stuff to share. We told our server what we were getting and he offered to bring the meal out as courses, which made it a really nice elongated dining experience, great since we were catching up and chatting a lot. The meal started out with bread, it came with 3 different kinds, and while all were good, the focaccia was fantastic. We ended up asking for more of that to enjoy with the meal. Next up was the Grilled Octopus, it was cooked slightly past its prime, but the flavor was great, as were the potatoes it was served with. Our next course was pasta, we got the Truffle mushroom fettuccine and Ziti Alla Genovese. The truffle wasn't too overpowering, and there were plenty of mushrooms so this dish was a big hit. The Ziti Alla Genovese though, that was perfection. I loved this dish so much, it was one of my favorite things I had in the city. Our final course was Orata Acqua Pazza, a pan seared filet with clams. The cook on the fish was perfect, the skin nice and crispy, and the fish delicate and flaky. Weeks after eating it my boyfriend and I were still talking about it. They had a good wine list, lots of Italian and some French options as well. Wines ranged from $50-100+ per bottle, good variety in the prices. I can't believe they don't have more reviews, it is a fabulous spot.

The wraps were incredible!! The presentation was great and came with tahini and hot sauce on the side. The meat was soo juicy and had a ton of flavor. Tater tots were extra crispy. Everything was seasoned well. Service was friendly and offered some complementary spiced tea. Very quick. Wish we could take this place home with us.
