I bought two vehicles (one new truck and one used car) the day the dealership changed hands to become Stephanie Morris Nissan. in the time since, all the familiar faces have been replaced except two. The replacements seem to have moved here to work for the dealership. The laid-back community feeling of the dealership and the desire to be helpful are long gone. This is FAIR WARNING to anyone looking to do business with Stephanie Morris Nissan of Durango I've purchased 3 Nissans from this dealership. On 6/24/22, I had the occasion to trade-in a Nissan on a purchase. I thought everything was fine until I started getting calls from Nissan Acceptance asking for payment on the traded-in vehicle. I told them Durango Nissan owns that vehicle as of 6/24/22. Well, not according to THEIR records. They say I own the vehicle and I'm responsible for the payments. There's no way I can make 2 monthly car payments. I called Durango Nissan and was directed to speak to Warren (Finance). Warren said everything was fine and Nissan Acceptance would be paid soon. When I later call Nissan Acceptance, they've not heard anything from the dealership and I still owe the money. Over the next 2 months, I make 8 visits to Durango Nissan and 18 phone calls to Nissan Acceptance, trying to resolve this issue. On Friday, 9/9/22, Nissan Acceptance gives me an ultimatum. Either they receive the money in 4 days or I'm going to collections. I call Durango Nissan and I'm told if I really want this resolved, I should talk to the owner (at the dealership for the day), so I come in and speak to Chad Morris (owner). He gives me a tongue lashing the likes of which I haven't had in 25 years. He states the issue has been dealt with. No, I cannot have a receipt as no such thing exists. I should just trust him when he says I won't be sent to collections (*really???*). Turns out Warren's log-in was incorrect, so my trade-in was never "grounded." Has EVERY trade-in since 6/24/22 not been "grounded?" How many other people are going to go through this NIGHTMARE due to dealership error? A friend of mine bought a new Nissan Rogue (2022) from the this dealership last year (2022). He hasn't had nothing but trouble with the suspension ever since!!! My friend has repeatedly gone to the dealership to ask them to resolve it, they have consistently refused to assist him in rectifying the situation. Ever since he drove the Nissan off of the parking lot, he has had problems with the suspension has repeatedly gone to the dealership has been told that there's " nothing wrong" repeatedly.nits his 'fault' !!! He has even considered going to the closest dealership other than the one in Durango which is in Farmington just so he can get the service that he should be getting. He's even decided that maybe when he needs to do is to trade the car in and get another car from a different dealership. When I am ever in need of replacing my current car, I will seriously consider not using the Durango Nissan dealership mainly because of their poor service to my friend. I know this man for over five years, he is a businessman in the four corners area; he has lived in this area for over 50 years. My friend is a pillar of the society, has a local business, and needs to be treated as an honored elder member of this community. If asked about this Nissan dealership in Durango , he will tell the truth about this dealership on how they have treated him poorly. If you decide to purchase a car from this dealership, I suggest along with my friend who suggests that you go someplace else. I purchased a vehicle on 09/12/22, 45 days and 774 miles later the car broke down. I took it back for service and I was told I had to pay for the repairs. When I asked the service manager, Marco, I believe that was his name, if the dealership stood behind the cars they sell and asked him if the dealership was going to cover the cost of the repairs. He told me "We don't know the future and don't know the issues with the cars we sell, you should've gotten the extended warranty." He went on to say "I encourage people to get the extended warranty". He told me the best he could do was to put a brand new battery in for me. He said I was lucky he wasn't going to charge me for the battery. Needless to say I went and picked up the car. I started the car and the battery was weak. He lied and didn't put a new battery in. I went to Auto Zone and had them check the error codes. They said it was the ignition coils. I bought 4 new coils and replaced it on the spot and it worked like a charm. The parts costed me $179. I bought a new battery too. I purchased two other cars when they were Economy Nissan and never had any issues. It seems as though the new owners don't care about their customers. They want your money and they forget you. My salesman, Amar was awesome! Everything else sucked! Oh yea and don't forget to get the extended warranty, the service manager recommends it..... read more

I've bought two vehicles form these guys. Both time have felt vary let down. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. It's a lot of lack of selection of dealerships in Durango Colorado. My most recent purchase was a used 2012 frontier. Brake rotors are warped and no oil change was done upon them buying it. When I purchased it they said they would do an alignment that next morning. So I called them at 11;00 am and said it would be in at 1:00 pm. Got here at 2:00 pm and it still hadn't been done. They are about the worst dealership I've ever been to. read more

This company is now actively sending out fake notices that you have won a car. When you call them to clarify, they lie to you. I called the phone numbers to make sure this was not a scam. I was told by the gal on the phone "If thats what it says on your ticket, then thats what it is!" They are perfectly fine with this sort of DECEPTION, and said that its legal to deceive based on the rules of Colorado. Buyer beware. These guys are frauds. read more

Bought a used van from these guys and the thing had been been wrecked with fresh bondo oozing out of the roof. Return the the next day when I spotted the issue. Took them 2 weeks to return my money. Only thing that saved me from dealership was my salesman and the fact that they screwed up the paper work. Stay clear of this dealer! read more

I am so angry!!! Nissan of Durango pressured a friend into signing for a car she didn't want and had her 86+ year old mother sign the paperwork saying it's just a thing they do. Her name is the one on the title. Who in their right mind pressures an 86 year old lady into buying a car they don't want!! They parked her car where she couldn't get to it so she couldn't leave and then brought on the high pressure until they signed. I will never purchase another vehicle from Nissan of Durango. They are all hip selling you this vehicle. They talked you into a Vehicle Service Contract on a vehicle that is already under warranty. I went to cancel it, fine no problem, they said. It's been almost a month and my lender has not received the credit yet to credit my loan, which in the meantime is costing me more for interest. They also connect you to a lender with the highest interest rate, even when your credit is excellent. I would not not recommend this company to any of my friends or family. Buyer beware and ask tons of questions before you purchase. read more

Today I had gotten an oils change from Nissan. I choose to go there because they have great service and I get great rewards for using them. Today there was an issue, in which this was the first time. They not only corrected the issue right away but they also made it so convenient for me. What could have been a huge setback in my day was made so easy by these gentlemen that it wasn't even a minor inconvenience. Every stereotype and everything I feared about buying through a dealership came true at Nissan of Durango. One of our conditions of purchasing a Dodge Ram was that they determine why the engine light would not go off and repair. On-site mechanic Lucas determined it was just a bad sensor. Salesman Jay Jensen and Sales Manager Darin Jensen affirmed that that was the only problem, but of course they didn't carry that sensor. We made the mistake believing them. As it turned out it WASN'T the sensor. It was an actuator on the recently replaced turbo. So either their mechanic is incompetent or we were hoodwinked. After weeks of unreturned phone calls, I stopped in. According to Sales Manager Darin Jensen, the owners, Kevin McGown and Chris Chashdollar, refuse to do anything. "You bought it as is". Tough and expensive $3,000 lesson learned that the stereotype of car salesman is alive and well in Nissan of Durango. I wouldn't just run, I'd run quickly. read more

I bought a used truck at Nissan of Durango a few weeks ago and I was a nervous wreck. I have owned my current truck for a long time and going back into payments scared me greatly. I worked with Nate Monroe and he was great. He helped me relax some, listened to my needs and got me into a truck that suited my needs. Everyone there is very nice and treated me with respect and understood this was difficult for me. Warren Gutierrez was awesome helping me understand the financing and got me the best rate possible. I recently took a 4-Runner in to Economy Nissan for a pre-purchase inspection. Economy's techs did a great job of spotting actual, and potential problem areas. I felt comfortable buying the vehicle knowing what repairs were likely to be needed, and in fact had Economy perform some of them. Over the years I've gotten consistently good work from Economy, and unlike other shops, they stick to the price they quoted you. You want an honest mechanic? Take your car to Economy! read more

I was interested in a truck they had but to see it required me to drive from over an hour away. I asked the salesman that I spoke with numerous times if there were any problem I needed to be aware of before driving out that far and missing time at work. He lied and told me the vehicle was in great condition. When I arrived at the dealership it took me about 5 minutes to realize the vehicle was a lemon. One of the tires was racing slick bold and was not safe to drive on. The vehicle shook like crazy when I tried to drive it and there was some electrical problem that had the lights flashing on and off. I left and the sales manager called me to apologize. He said they would look at the problems and call me the next day. That call never came. Long story short, these guys lied to me to get me in the store and to try and sell me a lemon. Not to mention, I received 5 different calls from the dealership after my inquiry. I had to tell them to stop calling. They were even trying to push a truck with 400,000+ miles on me and told me it was cherry picked and in fantastic condition. These guys are not to be trusted. read more
