As of 11/19/25, which is early season, you can buy a 4 lb bag for $10. While I was there, one farmer was sorting the oranges out by size. Apparently, the medium ones are the most popular. You could buy small ones for $1.50 per pound. Mandarins were attractive and juicy. Update: It's the sweetest and easiest to peel of the three different bags I bought on 11/19/25. Blue Goose Produce is associated with Westview Growers. If I remember correctly, there are 1500 mandarin orange trees in their orchards, so you can buy mandarins there until April! Farmers are friendly and informative to chat with. In October 2025, I believe I spoke with the owner Mark about the Blue Goose decor. One antiquities specialist soon found him a large metallic goose after he requested it. He painted it dark blue himself. This goose gets outfit changes to match the holiday! His family has been collecting blue goose decor over many years, which you can find throughout the store. I learned that a female goose can just be called a goose. A male goose is a gander, and Gander Taphouse is in the same plaza. Yesterday I learned that mandarin oranges taste better a day or longer after they have been picked. It takes time for them to sweeten. You can find a variety of local farm goods here, such as honey, scented candles, Earth & Vine products, local Newcastle Mandarin Ranch products, and Petaluma Creamery cheeses. You can buy pies here. I might call ahead to ask about available flavors. You can find limited produce here. I've bought a large tomato, finger grapes, and a ruby grapefruit here. Although, it was a bit of a drive for us coming from Sacramento/Elk Grove we were able to maximize our time there. The strawberry farm is family owned and located not too far from other businesses in the area if you wanted to find something to eat or find somewhere else to hang out afterwards. There was a food truck, Laopino, that had delicious lumpias, music, a bubble machine, plus a few games and activities to keep the little ones occupied, and shaded tables to enjoy your fresh harvests. :) Tickets are only available online. Weekend tickets are released on Thursdays at 7 pm. When choosing our date and time it shows we only had an hour to pick but really we got to take our time and enjoy our morning. I feel they show you have a one hour slot to help stagger guests in. I love how they had a little gift shop set up, another tent with fresh flowers, drinks, and beautiful cookies at the register to purchase. The strawberry fields had plenty to choose from. We saw lots of bright red ones varying from all sizes. The staff also informed us there were 6 types of strawberries being grown! On the day we went (reservation on a Saturday from 10-11am) the cost for adults was $12 per person. This includes a small basket per person. They offer 6 different varieties of strawberries, yup you read that right. I had no idea there were more than one variety, so this educational part was cool. The farm can get crowded and with this Sac heat, I highly recommend scheduling your reservation early and on a weekday. The farm is family owned and everyone is so nice. This was actually my 2nd stop of the trip. The first stop was in Fairfield at Lowes. Another solid stop. As I was driving to Pedrick I made a mental note to myself of what I could get that was useful. I wrote on my list onions as they are only 89 cents for the yellow ones and a great deal. Also on the list were their pork tamales for a quick lunch when I got back. As it turns out when I got home my husband thought the same thing and stopped at McDonalds and got me a fish sandwich so I wan't wanting for food when I got home. Good thing we now have tamales ($2.89 each) for dinner. That's one less meal I have to plan. Lastly the most tasty and pricy purchase was going to be fresh strawberries. I got 3 baskets for $9.99 or close to that. I had some when I got home and they are more tasty than the ones in the grocery store. Though they aren't as good as the ones at the woodland Strawberry festival. Maybe I'm buying them off season. I was here July 15, 2026 around 12:30pm. On my way out I noticed the half price items on the cart out front. Lots of items were 99 cents or half off. You're not sure of the regular price so I wasn't sure if it would still be a good deal or not as could we actually eat that much. I picked up a bag of 2 heads/stalks of broccoli and a bag of zucchini, maybe 7 in the bag. I first took my haul to the car before checking out again. As it turns out the Broccoli and Zucchini were under $2 together. What a deal. The Tamales have gotten better. They have a new supplier and now there is less masa and more filling. They started off good, then they went really went down hill fast. They were all masa and little filling. It was really bad and we stopped buying them. We I saw they were packaged differently I inquired if they had a new supplier and the said yes, someone more local, I forgot exactly where they said they were from. We gave these new tamales a try and were happily surprised. The price over the years has really gone up in price too. The bathrooms are a great relief. This is a perfect stop for us on our way to and from the bay. They have 2 plumbed bathrooms and 2 outhouses. I had to use the outhouse last time as we got there before they opened and they were still cleaning the bathrooms after they opened. It wasn't that bad. The cleaning truck was just pulling away when I used the port o potty so I wasn't the first user after they cleaned it. I am just thankful that they have bathrooms and you don't have to make a purchase to use them. Tortillas are the best here. They are locally made and we love them. So much better than ones they sell at Raley's. Even though they are homemade they still last a while without going moldy. We've never had them mold on us. With the great deals on produce, great tortillas, and the bathroom situation we will continue to make this our stop. Between the two of us we are here nearly every week so we are always well stocked in produce and tortillas.

This day featured items such as Fresh Peaches, Peach Lemonade, Peach Ice Cream, Peach Fudge, Peach Pastries and so much more! Everything Peachy! I tried the lemonade and the ice cream, and they were both so refreshing, light, and palatable. Next, I wanted to have lunch. Lunch is served every day with permissible weather from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The menu has a variety of great options like Brisket Sandwiches (Full or Half), Hot Dogs, Cheeseburgers, Black Bean Burgers, etc. I decided to get the Full Brisket Sandwich served with a bag of Lay's Potato Chips. The brisket was so tender and cooked to perfection. The meat was just melting in my mouth - DELICIOUS! With this mouthfeel experience, it was enhanced tremendously when paired with their housemade Apple Chipotle BBQ Sauce (offered at the condiment station). Lastly, the sandwich was big enough that it was satisfyingly filling. At the end of lunch, it was time to try samples. I went to the samples booth and had the Cosmic Crisp Apple, Golden Delicious Apple, Yellow Nectarine, White Nectarine, and Peach Fudge. Followed by this, I shopped around the market. I loved the offerings of the fresh fruits, vegetables, jarred products, etc. I purchased a bag full of White Nectarines, several jars of What'cha Dill Pickles, one big jar of Apple Juice, several personal-sized bottles of Apple Juice, one bottle of Pecan Syrup, and one bottle of the Apple Chipotle Sauce. Overall, Boa Vista Orchards is impressively phenomenal. The entire environment was super inviting with all of the adorable Peach decorations. All of the staff members were friendly and kind.
