Cincy roll, pork katsu don, salmon teriyaki

My family and I have dined here about 5 times in the last 3 months, and this is one of our favorite restaurants in NKY to fill our wide range of Asian food cravings. The restaurant is quaint, yet open, and totally family friendly. Servers are warm and courteous, even when they are slammed during peak dinner time (6:30-8). You get to choose from a Japanese and Thai menu, which contain a wide selection of equally delicious dishes, including fresh Sushi. You get 3 good restaurants in 1! Some dishes we've tried multiple times and recommended based on balanced flavors and consistency are: THAI: Spicy basil pork- has sweet scent of holy basil and abundant sauce. Our favorite to pour over rice. Papaya salad- full of flavor, but be conservative on your spice level selection ranging from 1-10. If you want "medium" spice, go with 2/3. Panang curry- you can choose your meat, but it's traditionally served with beef, which I think it's the best pairing as well. You can never go wrong with Thai curry, unless you order above your spice level ;) Pad see ew- stir fried wide rice noodles, also known as soy sauce noodles, comes with your choice of meat and veggies. Kids love it because noodles are soft and sauce is sweet. Crowd pleaser. JAPANESE: Katsu don- crispy chicken or pork cutlet drenched in sweet & salty sauce mixed with scrambled eggs and caramel used onions served over rice in a bowl. Total comfort Salmon teriyaki- great, nutritionally balanced meal with perfectly grilled salmon basted with teriyaki sauce over rice, and a side of shredded and steamed carrots and zucchini. Never regret ordering this. APPS: shrimp shumai and miso soup SUSHI: Cincy roll, spicy yellowtail, salmon nigiri As you can see, there are a lot of good options here. Go with a bigger group and dine family style to get the most out of your visit.

Probably the best fried rice in the city. The sushi is also excellent! We highly recommend!

Always fantastic! Your spice level is probably not the same as their spice level. A bit on the hot side. Fresh and friendly staff.

We really enjoyed our dinner here last night…read more We ordered the Vegetable Spring Rolls for an appetizer. I ordered a water and my husband ordered a Tsingtao beer. We both liked the spring rolls. Nothing exciting about them. Just a standard spring roll. For our entrees we ordered the Red Curry Beef on spice level 9 (husband) and the Spicy Thai Basil on a level 5 spice. The spice heat is from 0-10 and we found it to be a good spice level for each of us. It is a little oily - less creamy and coconut-y than some Thai places we've eaten but we did enjoy our meals quite a bit. I do think that the Spicy Thai Basil dish needed a bit more basil in it. Overall, the food was very good and the service was ok. We'll definitely stop in again to try more of the menu.

We visited on a weeknight around 5 pm; not many diners but steady carry out business. The service was friendly and efficient. The ambiance is non-descript but very clean. As for the food... honestly kind of mediocre for us. We're not fans of curry so we stayed off that side of the menu. A few appetizers were very good, but the wonton soup did not have the rich broth we're used to. Our stir fry dishes, sweet & sour beef and beef with vegetables, were just okay. Just not a log of flavor. We likely will not return, but if you read the positive reviews and are knowledgeable about Thai and curry menus, the friendly service and affordable pricing may be worth giving this a try.

After a search on Yelp we landed on Thai Pavillion and I'm so glad we did. Here's why... 1) I ordered on their website and it was a very seamless process. I liked that we were even able to select how spicy we wanted our food on a number scale. 2) The pick up time was not long after we ordered, even with it being in the middle of the busy lunch hour. 3) There's parking directly out front so I was able to simply pull up, throw my flashers on, and run in. It was there waiting for me when I arrived. 4) We both ordered the same thing, the pad Thai (spice level 1) with shrimp. We also shared an order of vegetable spring rolls. It came out to about $50 and that included a $5 tip. We both really liked what we got, but I'll stick with my specific opinion. The spring rolls were crispy and definitely hit the spot as an appetizer. As for the pad Thai, it was a great portion size, the spice level was exactly what I wanted, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. It didn't have an overwhelming amount of bean sprouts, which was appreciated. The sauce was rich in flavor and the noodles were just right. We both agreed that we would order from here again. It was the best pad Thai I've had in a while. Definitely give them a try!

I ordered the Shanghai noodles to be 6/10 spicy and it ended up quite spicy, and I have a pretty high spice tolerance. The flavor was great though, and portion size was pretty big. I expected more from the snow peas, they came just on a plate by themselves covered with bits of garlic, but overall tasted pretty good other than having a bit too much cornstarch. The stir fry was not bad but nothing too special. Prices are good for the portions though. Overall 4 stars because I really liked the Shanghai noodles! Not super authentic Chinese place but not a bad option in a pinch.
