That was good! We were fans when this location was another Thai restaurant and are glad that this was replaced by another Thai place we know we can count on. We went there for a late dinner with my wife and teenage son. When we walked in we were impressed by how they improved the interior décor and arrangement of the place. A modern, minimalist look with attention to detail. My wife even pointed out that the flowers were real flowers, not artificial ones. They have separate Thai and Japanese/Sushi Menus. We had the spring roll/wrap with ground pork and veggies as an appetizer - 8 small pieces which were full of flavor whether or not you used the dip. I had the Penang beef curry, my wife had shrimp Pad Thai, and my son had a tuna roll and chicken ramen. I enjoyed the Penang curry - strong flavors and quite spicy for mild. You could also taste the richness of the coconut milk in the curry sauce which had just the right sweetness. My wife agreed with one reviewer that the Pad Thai noodles were too soft. Probably overcooked. She would probably prefer it al dente. She still ended up liking it because of its full flavors. My son enjoyed his tuna roll and really liked his chicken ramen. After he ate the chicken and ramen noodles, he slurped down the broth. So overall we were quite happy with our experience at Nittha Siam Kitchen. We're glad it's so close to where we live. Another visit here...this time the panang curry (minimum spice level 3), spicy holy basil (2), cashew nuts (3), veggie fried rice (1), and salmon sushi roll. Pannag is glamorous and good portions but too spicy for me to eat much of. Spicy holy basil is tasty. Cashew nuts is good but could have used a little more taste or spice. Fried rice is really good. Salmon roll was plain but added some chipotle mayo at home and that helped. Probably wouldn't get this next time. read more

Torn between 3-4 stars Really enjoyed the food One dish was supposed to be no or 0 level spice and was still rather spicy -- table close to ours complained of same issue Sushi was enjoyable Also liked the spring rolls -- very light and crispy The cold draft was hard to ignore! I'm a rather warm person. Draft was constant but definitely worse when front door opened. Also there was a box above my daughter (sitting on the bench) that was super drafty and cold on her back/neck. Bathroom also very cold. read more

Amazing! Though i couldn't pronounce most items on the menu, everything we had tasted wonderful. Great entrees, good sushi, great service. The best asian food I have had in years, I was pleasantly surprised. A wide selection of foods (there are 2 menus each 5+ pages). Food tends to be spicy, which I like, so if that isn't your thing then stay away from even the "mild" spiced items. I have never seen such a large sushi menu. You have to try this place - you may find me here again. Their beer menu is not impressive, but they do have thai beer, mad tree ipa, a great lake beer, all bottles/cans. Their alcohol menu in general leaves something to be desired, but not bad compared to other similar restaurants. read more

They have variety of "standard" offerings in their dinner menu including sushi, egg rolls, stir fry. But I also noticed rice bowls, ramen, udon, spring rolls and other appetizers and entrees that I don't normally see ! Oo-la-la! I had a hard time deciding!!! We started with the spring roll appetizer which is a translucent rice wrap, cold, NOT fried, with fresh greens, bean sprouts, carrots, peanuts inside. Served with two sauces: a sweet and a spicy. REALLY good and so fresh. Seeing Unagi Don on the menu elicited a momentary gasp and OMG!!! I don't think I've ever seen that around here other than in sushi rolls. I knew right away that I would order that because I LOVE grilled freshwater eel. Unlike the tiny bit you get in the unagi sushi roll, the Unagi Don had 7 or 8 2.5 or 3 inch slices of eel with the traditional unagi sauce in a bowl of rice with the shredded seaweed piled to the side. There were also some pickled cubes that lended a nice crunch and bit of sweetness. HEAVEN!!! I was not disappointed one little bit - it was sooo delicious I returned 4 days later and had it again! Hub had teriyaki salmon on rice with stir fried veggies which he rated as "so-so" (but he wanted nothing to do with my eel - too bad for him!) They have other "dons" like pork cutlet which I will be returning to try, along with the ramen and udon! VERY refreshing to get an asian restaurant close-by that offers different, more authentic choices along with good service and pleasant surroundings. Prices are good too! read more

My husband and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night and we are hooked. We will definitely be back. We got fried dumplings and an Alaskan roll as appetizers. The dumplings were good, I would have preferred them a bit warmer. The sushi was very fresh tasting. I ordered the shrimp panang and it was honestly the best I have had so far. There were 15 (!!!) shrimp in my meal! I had enough food for next day's lunch! The complexity of the spices in the curry was top notch and it was so creamy. My husband ordered the pork ramen and while I have had better ramen, it was still very delicious. It was on the lighter side (compared to Maki Express in Clifton). Great lunch spot. Quiet with lots of seating. Ordered the Pad Thai lunch special with tofu - served with a spring roll and vegetable soup. Spice level 5 was just hot enough without making me feel like I was working up a sweat. Wish there had been some more veggies in the Pad Thai, but that may not be traditional. Solid sushi place in Kentucky! It reminded me of poke hut quality but it's definitely more affordable! As for the Thai food... I can't say the same. I had their pad kee mao aka drunken noodles aka flat noodles whatever you want to call it and it was pretty greasy/not as good :( I might give the Thai food another try but I would definitely recommend the sushi! read more

Nittha's is my go to for Thai in Cincinnati. My husband and I spent some time in Thailand and nittha's is some of the best Thai we've had since our trip. I recommend the Panang Curry and the Pad Thai. The one thing I would warn you of is that their spice levels are no joke. They have a 1-10 spice level and we like our food HOT and we have never gone over a 5 (even then it was too spicy for me to eat and was enjoyed solely by my husband). If you want a kick, but still want to enjoy your food, go for a level 3 . read more

I am OBSESSED with this place! We ended up here on Valentine's Day because my husband and I are procrastinators and every other restaurant we looked at was booked. Thank goodness for that! This is hands down my favorite Thai place I've been to! It's a tiny hole in the wall, but don't let that fool you. The food is fresh, delicious and fast. I've eaten in and also gotten carry out (I know in a week, I told you I'm obsessed haha) and every time is the same. I've tried the chicken pad thai, chicken pad kee mae and my husband got the teriyaki chicken. All of the noodles I've tried have been phenomenal. The flavors are rich, the noodles are cooked to perfection and the portions are plentiful. I wasn't a huge fan of the teriyaki. It was heavy on the ginger and I don't particularly care for that spice. Also, if you go in expecting an overly sweet, Americanized teriyaki flavor that is not what you're going to be getting. Their menu is HUGE. I'm a creature of habit so it's going to be hard to branch out but if you're someone who likes to change it up every time you'll have a good time here. read more

Hidden in the hills. A gem in the rough. Quaint and clean. Kind of off the beaten path. I think the Owner made our sushi. We could not stop eating it. Hole in the wall and worth the drive from Cincinnati! Not a ton of parking or tables and they were busy in the dining room and with takeout orders on a Thursday night. Service wasn't very attentive to start and sushi came well after entrees but the food was delicious (a bit spicy for a 4) and the prices were reasonable. read more

I love when an unassuming restaurant turns out to be a little gem. A friend shared one of his favorite places to eat after our business meeting. He said he and his family go there every Sunday. They eat at Nittha Siam Kitchen so often they are fondly known as "the faithful family". Now I know why. The staff is so friendly and everything we ate was wonderful! I enjoyed perfectly fried Porpia Tod, a beautiful fiery broth Tom Yum Goong and scrumptious Panang Chicken Curry. My friends enjoyed Pad Thai and Kaeng Phed which were equally delicious. Spice levels go to 10 and we were pleased with 4 to 5 for a medium heat level. I'll definitely eat there often when visiting Cincinnati. If you love authentic Thai cuisine this place will make your taste buds very happy! read more

So. I've been on a Thai roll lately. Pad Thai on the mind, you know. I decided to check this out based off of the reviews on here (obviously). I ordered takeout shrimp Pad Thai (3/10 spice), and chicken Pad See Ew (5/10 spice). The establishment is small, and on a side street. Quaint is perhaps a good way of putting it, but not too many tables. Flavors are pretty much as good as you're going to get around these parts with regards the sauce. The Pad Thai is sweet, with hints of sour and salty, and with just the right amount of sauce that doesn't make the noodles incredibly dry. Shrimp was fresh and a surprisingly generous in number. There are also bean sprouts, ground peanuts, and chili flakes, which is rare to find. The pad see ew is savory with excellent noodle texture and chicken that isn't dry and with excellent sauce. There's also a little bit of char that also adds that little bit of extra flavor. There's a generous helping of chicken as well. The pad thai at 3/10 had some kick to it, and the pad see ew at 5/10 had a good spice level. The amount of food for the price is also acceptable, though a touch on the pricier side. These two dishes would alone would earn at least four stars, but then there's the bad. Perhaps I arrived at an odd time when they were out of certain ingredients, but several things really bugged me. 1. The Pad Thai noodles are way too thin, almost like a mei fun thinness, which is a bit weird, considering that the pad see ew had the super wide rice noodles. It's not typical for pad Thai to have noodles this thin, but perhaps I'm being picky. 2. No lime (or cilantro) or green onions on the pad Thai, which is an essential ingredient, also, probably picky, but they are essential ingredients. 3. The pad see ew came with broccoli. This was very unexpected, and really breaks the dish. No east or southeastern Asian dish is authentic if it has broccoli. I would have certainly accepted Chinese broccoli or bok choy, though, and there are Asian grocery stores (granted in the northern part of the city) that do sell it. There is also carrot, which also pushes the legitimacy envelope. Don't get me wrong -- the sauces are present in the dishes and are really awesome, but the authenticity of the dishes isn't there. I surmise that it's probably due to the clientele from Northern Kentucky who would fear trying non-American greens and getting too bold with the Thai dishes, but because of this, I can't whole-heartedly label this place as a truly authentic Thai restaurant. But, I wouldn't be surprised if I dropped by again for another go at their pad Thai. It is certainly the best out of all of the establishments I've tried in the Cincinnati region so far, out of the few I've tried, but it's not saying much, especially having had Thai in southern California. As a warning, though, their website doesn't work, and there's no real menu you can view online. Good luck if you're going to try take-out for the first time if you don't know what typical Thai dishes exist. read more

I was deeply saddened when the previous restaurant in this space closed. Thankfully, a new restaurant has appeared and I can enjoy incredibly fresh and tasty Thai food. Yay! Sushi and Thai menus to choose from. On our first visit, we were a little overwhelmed with two menus to look at, but once we decided that we weren't interested in sushi, it made our decision making process easier. We've been here a couple of times and so far the massaman curry is my favorite dish here. The sauce was rich, full of flavor and it was loaded with fresh vegetables. Each bite was carefully crafted and came with a thorough explanation of the individual parts and how they fit together.
