Having Ace Self Storage as an option has helped us tremendously. We recently needed a temporary additional space after a water leak situation. The staff member who took care of us getting signed up for a new unit did a great job of explaining options and giving us the tour. Even though we know the property, the new space was in a different building and he took us there personally. They offer a move-in discount, which is makes for a fair value. Our goal is to reduce the need for extra storage entirely, but this may not happen while I'm still working full time.

The structure of the facility and its location next to active agricultural land led to all of our stored belongings being completely covered in a thick layer of dirt. I literally cried when my husband unloaded the truck with everything that had been in the unit. My kids' childhood things, sentimental items from my grandparents like hand-made quilts, even when wrapped, had dirt all over them and some things are permanently damaged from this intrusive dirt. Had I been present when the unit was emptied, I would have demanded our money back.

We had several appliances give out on us several months ago, including the washing machine and…read morewater heater. Both live in the garage. The water heater had been slow leaking for a while and was soaking into the walls, which we didn't realize until we smelled mold. That meant that we had to empty part of the garage and quick to get full access to that area. I called around and Go Mini's won our business handily. Not only did they have the size we needed for a lower price than their competitors, but they were able to deliver the same day. What?! The driver did a great job of maneuvering the pod up our driveway and making sure that we could access the doors without hitting the roof line of the garage. He also leveled it out so that it was situated securely. On the flip side, we rushed to get it emptied yesterday and finished at 9:30 p.m. I then wrote an email to office manager Lorie at 10 last night and asked if they could pick up the pod today or tomorrow. Apparently their driver came at 7:30 this morning and very quickly and silently took the unit away. I never heard a thing and I was up. I didn't realize that it was gone until I saw a text from Lorie that they completed the pick up. Stellar service, and professional communication throughout. Thank you to Lorie and her team!

The owner personally came to my home, inspected the area I wished to drop my box and where Pods had refused to drop, and the next day his driver came to my warehouse to drop off an empty container, waited while we loaded it which we had completed in under 30 minutes and then took my To Go Box to my home address where it sits now happily in my 75 foot long 1949 drive way by my garage:) The Driver could not have been more gracious, helpful and courteous. Just the day before the Pods driver had been disrespectful; pompous and uncooperative and thus I canceled service with them (they lost a 7 month service contract) and now happy as can be with To Go Box!:) There are many choices via these mobile storage boxes, as is I have tried three; Pack Rat tried to add on unmentioned delivery fees not listed on their website thus I canceled that; Pods practically impossible to communicate with by phone unless you want to wait 40+ minutes and then luck of the draw if the driver is professional and courteous or not and then lastly of the three To Go Box whom I love and will happily use until my work is done:) I cannot say enough positive things about this business and it's people.

They said it appeared there was Efflorescence occurring in the unit. (This happens when groundwater seeps through porous concrete and evaporates, leaving behind salts. This evaporation spikes the humidity in your unit, creating the perfect damp, stagnant conditions for mold to feed on your belongings.) I asked if they could reimburse anything off my last months rent because I moved out early. They would not. And they do not insure their units so I can't make a claim. Leaving this review because they need to be honest with their tenants. Had we known about the issue we would have stored our belongings accordingly and off the floors so they didnt get ruined!

The hassle of moving was on my horizon all summer. Would I make the jump if an opportunity…read morepresented itself? Yes! Looking around at all my "stuff", I knew I was in trouble. It's amazing how quickly one can fill a space. I was at full capacity. Whenever I have a project, Yelp, has been wonderful in getting me the assistance needed. Elite movers was the first (and forever my only) company to request lots of pictures with all cupboards open, an approximation of cost and duration, and customer service that took the time to answer all questions. The move day went off without incident. My crew consisted of four strong fellas-my crap being packed left and right, furniture being moved, boxes toted off, things I wasn't taking headed for the trash etc. They were all done by 1:30 or so and headed to the new place so I stopped for pizza/soda for them. All boxes unloaded and furniture placed where requested. Elite finished their job by about 3:30. I like them less now. The remaining boxes to unpack seem to have multiplied in the garage like bunnies but at least they are in one place. Great value for the money and no stress with packing things safely! Give them a call if your next move has you out of sorts.- they won't disappoint. Thank you!
