Almost no veggie or vegan food but it had alot of red bean items which i adore. Also I got attacked by a crab cake that I thought was coconut thingy because it wasn't labeled .

It's a popular spot on Saturday but their buffet prices are the same as the weekday prices. It's only $15.95. They re-stock popular items like pizza and shrimp even late in the afternoon. There's a unique dish Meat & Cheese Roll which is minced beef in melted cheddar wrapped in a flaky Strudel crust. I liked the Hot Pepper Chicken and went back for seconds. The dessert selection is gelato, cookies, and frozen yogurt. Frozen Yogurt is a basic selection of Vanilla and Chocolate. The busgirl picked up our dirty dishes every few minutes. Our waiter came by and asked if we wanted free refills on soda. Like most Chinese Buffets, there's free refills on soda.

If I was to believe all the bad reviews, I might have not even came here! A friend that lives locally suggested it to me. I'm here for work and wanted a nice quick buffet lunch. There's quite a few Chinese buffets in this area, but I choose this one cause it's right near SF Supermarket that I wanted to check out. I got here before 11:00am when they're supposed to open, but I saw people got here earlier and were eating already! You pay before eating here, different than most places where you pay afterwards. My friend got the "senior discount" for 62 and older, 10%, so his share was $18 and change instead of $21 for me. You pay and then seat yourself. A server will be right with you as you sit down and get you drinks if you want. Service was pretty good here and the English was better than most other places like this. The dining area was modern and clean. The food selection is huge, compared to most Chinese buffets I've been to. There's a Mongolian grill section, sushi section, with sashimi even! The wings were bigger than most buffets and tasty! Lot's of more "authentic" Chinese stuff here, like chicken feet! pig feet! and other organ meats. Big dessert section, but I was too full to even think about dessert. The price is well worth it, though I didn't see and roast duck like was mention in past years reviews.

So my family does a lot of our bigger stuff here. Mostly graduations and funeral stuff etc. We were here this past weekend and the place is really clean and the food is always very fresh and tasty. There's a lot of vegetarian options. Most of our (very large, Japanese) family eats meat and seafood and they all said everything was really fresh and delicious. The parking is good but the locations not the safest, so if you're not from South sac, I'm just giving you a heads up to keep your head on a swivel in the parking lot, esp at night. I'm knocking a star bc service sucked. When my uncle was doing a eulogy, even w a mic, the servers are so clueless and rude- talking hella loud so that those of us by the door could barely hear what he was saying over their loud and unnecessary chatter amongst themselves about who knows what. They should've been aware and had the sense to kept quiet and not shout over to each other IN THE ROOM where someone's crying and speaking. One also reached across all my stuff and food and took forever to mess w the thermostat when I was trying to sit back down and mostly, I don't like random ppl that close to my food that I'm eating. I was worried dust or crap fr her sleeve would fall into my food since she was just uncomfortably close to it and also had me standing there waiting hella long before she finally moved. We all also had to ask for refills a million times for tea, water, etc and most of the time it never came or came hella later. We had the room for about 3-4 hours. I thought it should be two stars off, but changed my mind bc at this point, our family's been coming here so long that we knew the service would suck and chose it (again) anyway due to the cost being so cheap and the food being so good. So really, that's on us that we came here anyway, knowing the service sucks for large groups.

Our favorite buffet, in love with the seafood. Good sushi, good everything. Very satisfied every time. The servers were on top of taking our plates and refilling our drinks. Love how spacious this buffet is. You can bring a whole bus full of people and there will still be plenty of room for everyone.

Average chinese buffet. Don't have high expectations for customer service or the food. Came here Saturday lunch for $15.95 for a party of 11. They have large seatings in the back of the restaurant and plenty of other smaller seatings as well. Typical chinese food: some buns, green beans, salt and pepper shrimp, orange chicken, etc., even a mongolian style noodle area that's diy. Sushi is ok, so much rice for the nigiri lol. Did not get any fruits or desserts, besides their vanilla ice cream (there is also chocolate and a mix of the 2 as well). Mussels and salt and pepper shrimp were the only main things I ate. Don't forget to grab some lemon for the mussels! They are cooked btw. For the price, you can't really complain as it's such a deal especially in this economy! I'm from the bay and there is only 1 place I can think of that could compare to this buffet in South City - and that is $20 and I woud say that's worse lol.

INCREDIBLY RUDE LADY WHO TOUCHED MY PLATE AND SLAMMED TONGS INFRONT OF ME AND GOT SAUCE ON MY WHITE SHIRT.
    Khim M.

I come here often with my girlfriend. But the last outing here, it was extremely rude service from the woman who comes out of the kitchen to refill food. I was grabbing some oysters and the oyster shell was unreasonably big and there was only a couple left so I went to grab the meat only and leave the shell, that lady grabbed a pair of tongs and she put the empty shell aggressively on my plate. I put it back and then she got mad and slammed the tongs back onto the bar and stormed off. This is a restaurant and this is in the customer service industry, I never have seen a waitress be incredibly rude to a customer. Maybe she was having a bad day but her behavior was unacceptable. Attaching her picture to this review.

Pretty standard buffet food so don't come here expecting high quality food. They have a pretty wide variety of food options available. And during dinner the turnover is pretty high so they were constantly refilling trays of food. A lot of things were on the saltier side. Service is pretty slow and we definitely had plates build up on the table waiting for them to take it away. Decent place for the price and what you get.

Has anyone had issues with safety in the parking lot?

How much per person on Friday night?

All through the week after 0300PM the price for Dinner goes up 4 or 5 dollars. Remember though that dinner includes access to their salmon, and extras like crab and oysters. So if your enjoy the extras it's worth $19 or $20 a person instead of…

Reservations for party of 30 or more guests?

Yes. I've attended multiple funeral receptions here and a couple of graduation celebrations.

Is there a different menu for lunch and dinner?

Yes, the menu is slightly different for lunch and dinner. However, the food is quite salty. It could be the rationale to discourage people from eating more.

    Are they serving tripe again?

    Yes

Indoor dining open yet or at least outdoor dining, any dining?

I just called and asked. The lady on the phone answered and said next week. (Today is 5/7/21).

Is the sushi made to order?

There are specific types they offer which are laid out on nice platters along one of the walls in the buffet area. The sushi chefs are behind the sushi bar and constantly rolling fresh rolls and putting them on the buffet, they go quickly so there…

    Do they have frogs?

    Nope.

    Do they have raw oysters?

No, however, they have raw mussels on the ice bar near the fruit. The oysters are steamed and absloutely delishous.

It really is quite an experience. I highly recommend you come try it for yourselves. Thank you fellow Yelpers for helping us find this place.

The AI said it was top rated, and we had never been. By 7pm the dining room was busy, many of the parties Asian We ordered a pot of tea, crispy pork, potstickers, roast duck, honey bbq pork and the house noodle dish Yue Huang Chow Fun which had shrimp and chicken. THE PROS: Nice sit down restaurant decor. Large tables and cushy upholstered chairs. Not a strip mall cubicle. They have actually been awarded Michelin Honors three times. Portions were good sized, and flavors were nice. THE CONS: Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed by everything. All of the dishes arrived just warm. Staff never checked on us - not once - until we asked for some to-go boxes. They have two large tvs in the dining room, showing a loop of the restaurant I'm currently sitting in. The music in the dining area must have been on "Slow Girl Ballad" station on Spotify's free tier- as we honestly listed to a 10 min Samsung commercial in between songs - and not at a low volume. BOTTOM LINE: Maybe we were the exception- as there were clearly enough patrons to show it is a popular - but nothing about our experience made us want to come again. I guess we didn't see what the Michelin people saw. PRICE: $80

That said, the food more than made up for it. Our favorite dish by far was the Spicy Calamari with Basil. It's something I'd absolutely come back for--the calamari was tender with a great texture, and the sweet, savory flavors paired perfectly with everything else we ordered. The Garlic Chili Green Beans were another standout. They had great flavor and still retained a nice crunch instead of being overly soft, giving them the perfect stir-fried texture. The Vegetable Chow Fun (with beef added) was decent but a little dry for my taste, so it's probably not something I'd order again. By the end of the meal we were completely stuffed, but we couldn't resist trying the banana cream pie. It looked huge when it arrived, and we honestly didn't think we'd finish it--but it was so delicious that we ended up eating the whole thing. Definitely don't skip dessert! I also appreciated that when I asked for hot sauce, they brought out several different options to try, including what seemed like a garlic chili sauce, chili crisp, hot mustard, and sweet and sour sauce. It was a fun touch that let us customize each bite. The restaurant also has a lot of history and character. We walked in casually without realizing it was a more upscale sit-down restaurant, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our day. If you go, the Spicy Calamari with Basil and the banana cream pie are absolute must-orders!

My goal is to come here during dine downtown week in January to try that menu since I hear it's worth it. For parking, it's either street parking or you can do valet parking in the garage right next door. There is no self parking in the garage. Street parking is self parking. The restaurant itself is like a long, large hallway. When you walk in, your greeted by the host desk. Then you walk towards the back and pass a bunch of booths, tables and the bar area to the right. It's built like a Craftsman style layout. When I was here recently, it was for a friend's birthday and there was a group of 10+ of us. They only do family style food so our group was split into 2 tables and each table ordered their own entrees and meals to eat family style. I was at a table of perks I had just met that night, but we had no issues sharing plates. This may not be for everyone, do you can still order your own entrees, but there won't be much variety if you don't have a lot of people. The food was good. We ordered wallet shrimp, Buddha's delight, the curry noodles/chow mein, garlic green beans and chicken chow mein. All three good was good. I would say it's above average and comparable to Din Tai Fung, but a bit cheaper. I liked the walnut shrimp, garlic green beans and buddhas delight. Service was decent. It could've been better, but could've been worse. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. I'll be back when dine downtown rolls around.

They packed everything really nicely and we served it up as soon as we got home. Their rice noodle rolls are so flavorful and I love the sweet, salty and savory sauce that comes with it. The noodles are really filling, and the dishes we got would be enough food for 2-4 people depending on how hungry you are. We ate the rice rolls right away and then had leftover green beans and beef and mushrooms for lunch today. The green beans were fresh and had a great garlic flavor, without it being too much. The Beef and Mushrooms was great, the beef was tender and flavorful and the mushrooms soaked up all the sauce. There were also green beans in this dish, which was a perfect addition.
