We were driving home from Lodi. Son wanted sushi for dinner, so my husband chose Fuji. We were pleasantly surprised. Seated quickly. Drinks, wasabi, and ginger arrived. We ordered seared spicy tuna and salmon plus Fuji roll at the sushi bar. Our servers, Richard and James, took our kitchen orders. My son loved how quickly the food came out. They have some of their popular rolls ready to go at end of the sushi bar when customers place individual orders. My husband liked the seared sashimi and rolls. Great place for groups and AYCE lovers!

Great service, great sushi! First time here today and it was pretty good. The service was quick and sushi chefs were very kind! Can't wait to be back!

Best AYCE place in Elk Grove!! My friends and I decided to come here last minute and hour before they closed and they were so welcoming and patient. Our food came out immediately after ordering and they ensured that we would be able to order all the food we would like. Salmon was super fresh and not fishy AT ALL. We also opted to sit at the bar and were able to try a lot of the sides and appetizers from the floating boats. The hand rolls and sashimi platters are allll worth it for the price. Service was exceptional and I can't wait to come back!

This buffet is my go to whenever I am in Elk Grove. I originally went to their buffet in Davis and was thrilled when they opened up in Elk Grove They have many options for rolls along with the many dishes served in the boats floating around the bar. I have no complaints!!! None!!! The best ever along with the excellent customer service. I use the low sodium soy sauce and one of the servers remembered. Now that is what I call 'epic' customer service!!! All people attending are considered family. I've seen new dishes and tried them after speaking to my neighbors sitting at the bar with me. I recommend all to go. You won't be disappointed.

This restaurant is where I discovered my love for (AYCE) sushi as a teenager, and my family and I have been loyal customers ever since! The rolls are delicious (Fuji roll and Titanic roll have been my favorites for years), sashimi is fresh, and they have a wide variety of hot menu items to choose from as well. I've tried Fuji in Vacaville and Concord, but what I appreciate most about this location is how much they care about their customers. Stan knows what we want to order the minute we arrive and that makes the experience all the more special. He even offers us some of his special creations, like the seared salmon belly nigiri with all the fixings which was AMAZING. We also love the hand rolls, especially the Zigzack and the Robin (which is another secret menu item with imitation crab, shrimp tempura, avocado, tobiko, and sauces). They tend to put out some unique items on the rotating boats too, like bite size poke nachos and spruced up nigiris, but you're welcome to grab anything off of the boats from the sides if you're not seated at the bar. The ambience is nice, clean, and casual. Gone are the days of their Chinese food buffet section, but they have done an amazing job at maintaining high quality food and service. Wishing them continued success for years to come!

Fuji is an Elk Grove staple and one of my favorite restaurants to visit! I come here at least once a month and it does not disappoint! When you first step in, you are greeted by friendly staff and they ask you if you'd like a seat by the boats or a table. Their menu isn't the biggest but it has exactly what I look for. Ordering food there isn't like your usual restaurant, you have walk up to the middle and talk to the chef for sashimi, rolls and hand rolls. For appetizers like soft shell crab and grilled yellowtail collar, you can order them at the table with server. I'm a raw fish person, so I typically order salmon and yellowtail sashimi, and since I order it so much I don't even have to tell the chef sometimes! I always ask for the "large" sashimi plates, as they don't do a specific number of pieces per order, and it usually has over 10 decently sized pieces. Orders come out pretty quick, I would say between 5-10 minutes. Sometimes the chef will ask you to stand to the side for a minute and they'll have it ready. If I were to recommend some things to order, it'd be the You're the Man hand roll and the spicy seared salmon! They're so delicious and no other place has something like it! The restaurant gives off a "home-y" vibe and I really enjoy being there when it's busy. The boats going around in the water while carrying food adds to the aesthetic and it's fun looking around trying to find the things you want. I always go for the salmon and unagi nigiri! Every time I go, I HAVE to end my meal with ordering fresh sesame balls. Overall, Fuji Sushi is a great, reliable sushi restaurant to bring your friends and family to! I miss when they used to have a Chinese buffet, but their sushi quality is still great.

honestly, a very unique take on AYCE sushi with open sushi boats, but I'm here for it. this is a staple in my boyfriend's family - and my first time here. it definitely won't be the last. sushi comes out fast and fresh, basically you pick up pre-made things from the open sushi boat "conveyer belt", or tell the chefs what you'd like from the menu. during lunch they have fried oysters, during lunch it's soft shelled crab soda choices were pepsi, brisk raspberry tea, dr. pepper, fanta orange, and starry great price nonetheless! coming from SF price points this beats it all around. I posted the menu for this spot for anyone curious; there's no price on the menu aside the add-ons (soda, premium appetizers, etc). the staff are also super friendly :) it was nice being greeted by everyone and the fast service as well.

Family of 4 came in at 7.31pm. We got seated right away and the orders came out quickly. We tried the magic carpet (salmon Pokemon on a fried piece of cracker), fried soft shell crab, fried oysters, 6 miso soups, salmon belly, sashimi (tuna, hamachi, and salmon), rainbow roll, half an order of fish roll, salt and pepper chicken wings, cooked scallop sashimi, Tsing Tao beer, shrimp tempura, fried banana, sliced oranges, piece of chocolate mousse cake, edamame, chicken teriyaki. Since it was near closing time (8.30pm), we did feel a bit rush since by 8pm all the foods on conveyor boats were unloaded already but they did bring back out a piece of cake when requested. I would skip the tuna sashimi since it was fibrous and had not thaw completely. My husband liked the hamachi kama and chicken wings. I liked the miso soup. Also, portions were small enough so you can eat a variety of dishes.

I used to come here when I was younger and before AYCE sushi was more common in Sacramento. I think this wouldn't be my first choice especially since all their sushi is out on a row or already prepared for people to grab. While this may be convenient and faster, it may mean the sushi becomes warm over time. If you would like a better AYCE sushi place in terms of quality, I would definitely look at other options and spend the extra $10/person. Service isn't the greatest as they get really busy and there's only one person grabbing orders for appetizers or drinks. The sushi is all grab or request the chef for it. Sashimi is precut and placed in a fridge for them to hand to you. It's a smaller place but you could definitely host for a graduation party. Again, I don't think I would return as menu is limited and food isn't the greatest.

Our go to AYCE Sushi spot in Elk Grove Area! $35 for dinner (age 10+) Sashimi, nigiri, rolls, hand rolls, tempura appetizer, gyoza, edamame, chicken teriyaki and more! So much selection and fresh! The service is quick and the sushi bar chef is so patient and quick with our order. When you sit you can order the appetizers on the menu, everything else you pick up at the boat or ask the chef for sashimi and hand roll orders. Love this place! We used to go to the Davis one a long time ago also.

Decent AYCE sushi spot in Elk Grove! I've been here a few times and it did not disappoint every time I dined here! I highly recommend sitting by the conveyor belt at the sushi bar as you can easily grab the appetizers and order rolls or nigiris from the chefs. Upon entry, interior is outdated but staff are all very friendly. My goto items are the tako nigiris and spicy tuna roll!

    Gladys O.

Accidentally tried this since the one we really want to try is close for maintenance. Its a sushi buffet for a cheap price but good and fresh quality of seafood. For only $33/person is not a bad for all you can eat sushi. Like the selection of appetizers and serve you fresh and hot. The service is really fast which i like when you are really hungry! Its a good resto and will try to come back again for more and to try their other options of sushi.

    Thuy L.

The place is clean, the customer service is excellent, and the price is very affordable. My favorites are the soft shell crab, grilled fish, and fried bananas.

Ask the Community - Fuji Sushi

My parents love this place so I'm taking them there this week; however, I'm a vegetarian. Could I just order from the menu or do I have to get the buffet just to get veggie tempura and veggie sushi?

Call them ahead of time and let them know that you are vegetarian! There're a lot of vegetables choices and skipping fish is easy!…

Do they have a happy hour?

No, they have sake, wine and beer

I've never been but want to go. When everyone says the Chinese hot food is no longer there. There is no Chinese food at all just sushi?

After COVID they stopped serving Chinese Buffet, now it's just All you can eat Sushi and Sashimi

    Is ayce back?

I was there last month and yes they are open for All You Can Eat sushi. However, Chinese food steam tables are no longer available.

Do they still have hot food on the side?

No hot food on the side.

Heard they are back open for buffet? Is it true?

I checked out their website today (7/24/2022) and their buffet is now open!

Are they back open for buffet yet?

    No.

    Are they open for inside?

Yes they are! But no buffet anymore

When is buffet going to resume?

I'm pretty sure the buffet is a thing of a past now for them. Raku is doing the buffet, Aji is doing the buffet and even Fuiji in Vacaville has resumed doing it. I think they will stick to this current business model.

    Is the buffet open now?

You can eat inside but only ordering from the menu.

Is the buffet open already are they open for dine in?

The buffet is not open; however, they are doing dine in. So you can order rolls etc to eat there.

Do they charge if we bring our own cake here to celebrate a birthday?

No, they didn't charge when we brought a cake. They even offered to put it on the fridge for us until we're ready to serve it.

Is the lunch and dinner menu the same? Will sashimi next available for both lunch and dinner?

The are some additional items available at dinner but sashimi is available all day.

How does this place work? Do you order fresh rolls at the table ? Or do you have to go up to the bar? Is everything included in the all you can eat price?

Price includes all food. Drinks, like tea and soda, extra charge. They have ready made rolls at the end of the bar area that you can pick up. At the end of the bar, you can also go and order sashimi, different sushi rolls, and other items, like…

Does it have other options if someone doesnt like fish or sushi?

Yes, it has a standard Chinese buffet area.

What is the average price for one person?

Lunch was 12.99 dinner 21.99 on Sat and Sunday

Is this place open 7/4 for Independence day?

Do they have snow crabs here?

    No snow crab

Do you pay before seating and and pay after you are done eating? I went by myself on 4/3/19 and had to pay before seating. Is that something new?

When you go by yourself, they want you to pay upfront, before you eat. If you go with other people, you pay after. I suppose they've had problems with single diners eating and then running out and not paying, not that you would do that, but the few…

What day and time is the fish most fresh?

I've gone on weekends for lunch, weekends for dinner, and dinner on weekdays and I've always found their fish to be very fresh. This place is always busy so I don't think there is time for their product to linger. I highly recommend!

I ordered through DoorDash for pickup, and the process was quick and seamless. My order was ready on time, carefully prepared, and just as fresh as if it had been made right in front of me. If you're looking for fresh, delicious sushi with outstanding customer service, I highly recommend Ebisu. Whether you dine in or order pickup, you won't be disappointed. For the bento box, I usually get the mixed tempura as one of my choices, but because i couldn't decide between one the protein, my two choices were Beef teriyaki and Chicken teriyaki. With the entrees and bento boxes, miso soup is served. It seems more watered down than it's been in the past, but it's still good, and a soothing starter. The beef and chicken teriyaki is served in thin strips and is nice and tender. The salad was a bit bitter, and their dressing is creamy and on the sweet side. We chose a couple of rolls with our meal. The I-5 roll and the Sacramento roll. They seemed almost the same, and was recommended because it was suppose to be the most similar to the California roll, but I think I'm going to stick with the Lobster roll the next time. There is also a specialty menu that looks really good!

Then we opted for our next meal which was the sea steak delicious ahi tuna seared with ponzu sauce and the crisps of the noodle like veggie not sure the name was a good balance with the acidity of the ponzu and seared flavor of the tuna was divine. Next it comes with two rolls we ordered the SPICY JOHNNY roll and ANNIE roll loved both of them. Wish they added a few more rolls to choose from. But what we did choose was perfect. Next was dessert fried cheesecake was just enough sweetness. Not pictured had a strawberry and caramel drizzle. The only thing I wish was that the sushi chefs had more customer service along with our waitress. The sushi chef asked what sushi we wanted but never asked if we wanted or needed anything else or even talked to us at all. We ordered wine and she only came with one glass which doesn't make sense since I said we would like the same thing. Great place for families, date night.

We saw Mizuki and decided to give it a try. First off, the rolls were 50% off! So of course we each got a roll. We all loved them. I also got the taste of Himalaya which is salmon over a salt rock! Such a fun and delicious experience. The service was great. We were greeted and sat right away. Waters were promptly brought to our table as well. I would definitely recommend this location. I did have a poor experience at their other location previously; however, with this being such a great experience, I am going to give their second location another try.

The last time we dined in, my husband politely asked for spicy mayo a second time after she forgot to bring it with our food. She rolled her eyes at him, then came back and tossed the container of spicy mayo onto our table. We didn't say anything because we wanted to be respectful to the chefs and didn't want to make a scene. Our takeout experiences haven't been much better. On one order, they forgot an entire container that was part of our meal, so we had to drive back to get it. They called to let us know they had forgotten it but also told us we needed to arrive within 10 minutes because they were closing. They also regularly forget the spicy mayo on takeout orders, even though they charge extra for it, while it's provided at no extra cost when dining in. My husband and I used to come here regularly because we genuinely loved the food, but after multiple disappointing experiences with the service, we decided it wasn't worth coming back. The food is good, but good food isn't enough when you're consistently treated poorly. I'd rather chew a jean jacket than pay to be disrespected.

They told me that they weren't really making it so they sold the business. It's really sad since we really like their food and especially their beef teriyaki. It was always the best. For me, Hello Temaki is the place to go for Hand Rolls and adding the usuals to make a complete meal. Update: recently tried the 3 set premium hand roll including Snowcrab, fresh Hokkaido Scallop (not frozen), and Bluefin Toro and it was one of the best sushi I've had in the Sacramento area. Upon entering, we were quickly greeted and sat down. My go to is the 5 set Hand Roll and add Udon, Hamachi Kama, appetizers, or additional hand rolls like the soft shell crab. The 5 set hand roll includes Salmon, Spicy Tuna, Yuzu Negihama, Tsubugai, and Escolar. They have traditional Genmaicha Tea which I always order with my meal. I appreciate the use of plastic around the seaweed to maintain the crispiness of the seaweed. The seafood taste fresh and the perfect size cut for sushi. There's a few muted TVs in the room with slow chill music to easily allow hearing conversations at the table. The waitress kept checking up on us and we were easily able to add more orders as we gauged our hunger level.
