it seem like this place is under new management. i was surprised that they changed it to pay first before dining. The price for lunch has gone up also. 16.95 for lunch is high for the food offered here. The soup bar is now available on the weekends and is called a ramen bar. Sushi seems to have gotten better, but most rolls are still filled with imitation crab meat. No more steamed spare ribs, so only shu mei, tripe, chicken and pigs feet. I used to really like the dim sum area, but today, it was either tough or bland. The ramen bar was the same, it needed a ton of soy sauce and salt to add flavor to it. Crayfish were watery and were without flavor also. I'm not sure what happened to this place. It used to be a treat to take my parents here for the dim sums, but there's no flavor in any of their food anymore. I went on a Saturday around 1:30pm and I expected to be crowds like in the past, but it was rather slow for a weekend. I don't remember the last time I dined at a buffet. In all honesty, I thought COVID19 was going to shut this style of dining down for good. Glad buffets are still a thing. We were here celebrating the life of my Aunt. There were about 50 of us (or so) that arrived in increments. The restaurant is huge so it can accommodate probably hundreds of diners. Anyway, I was so excited to hit up all the stations because I was starving. Sadly, the only thing that tasted good and kept me coming back for more was the cantaloupe and jello. Every single thing I tried either had zero flavor or was undercooked (i.e., chicken wings). Pretty disappointing because the variety is there -- just not the quality. Note to management: please consider adding seasoning to your station options. Such a waste to not do so. Extra star because the service was not too bad. First off. This establishment is clean and well kept. It's all you can eat for about 13.95 for lunch, 10% discount for seniors. Wait staff are courageous and attentive. They immediately brought extra napkins without being asked, iced water and straws. There are several stations. From memory there is a sushi/sashimi bar, a grill where trays of marinated chicken, marinated pork, squid and large shrimp are offered. Just place whatever you choose on a plate and a nice person grills it. Nearby that is a Mongolian Stir Fry Barbecue station offering thin sliced meat/steak etc, veggies etc. I have not tried it, but it looks pretty much complete such as you might find in a Mongolian BBQ restaurant. Next time will hit that first. They have a dessert area, a salad bar with very fresh veggies and fresh fruit. I found a dim sum area offering various steam buns, spring rolls, pot stickers, siu mai, egg tart, chicken feet and much more. For asian style offerings - too many to list. Trays of steamed rice, fried rice, chow mien noodles , shrimp, baked fish, steamed fish. All the usual Chinese style offerings, pepper chicken, walnut chicken, broccoli beef, too many to list. I noticed the attendant gave an Asian family a tray with fortune cookies after they were almost finished with their dinner. The attendant did the same for the Hispanic family.
