Very disappointed. Before I brought in my Mercedes-Benz EQS, I was clearly told that the courtesy vehicle would be of a similar level. Instead, I was sent to Enterprise Rent-A-Car and given a Chevrolet Malibu. This is not remotely comparable to an EQS. If a similar-level vehicle was not available, that should have been communicated upfront so I could make an informed decision. read more

I sent a BMW X5 to No.1 collision Richmond for repair. The collision only caused a dent in the door, but all functions were normal. After they replaced the left driver's door, I found that the keyless entry, start and trunk lock system functions were all invalid when I picked up the car. However, No.1 collision could not find the problem with my car, so they sent my car to BMW for inspection and asked me to pay a $1,000 inspection fee. There was an assistant manager in Richmond named Les Tsang who had a very bad and arrogant attitude and was very rude to threatened to seize my car if I did not pay the inspection fee, which was clearly their problem. read more

Complete waste of time and questionable business practices. I brought my car in following a rear ender. They booked me an appointment in 2 weeks' time. I explained that it was important that I get a similar rental vehicle given that I drive with kids. They promised that they would take care of that, not a problem. Two weeks later, I bring my car in. I wait 20 minutes for the Enterprise rental car company to make an appearance (they had to call twice). The guy pulls up in a Firefly. I jump in to drive to the Enterprise dealer. After waiting, I explain why I'm there and the look on the guy's face told me all I needed to know. He speaks to the manager and this is what I'm offered: a big FO truck, a minivan, or a Camry. Now, I could have taken the minivan and sucked it up but here's where I draw the line. No. 1 Collision assured me that they would deliver. After 2 weeks, and all this time and energy, I am then asked, as the consumer, to compromise and take what is offered. That's not how I roll so I cancelled the entire appointment. Lots of competition hungry for market share. If No. 1 Collision can't fulfill their promises, then simply do not make them! If Enterprise is at fault, then why are you making representations on another company's behalf if it's out of your control? I felt dicked around and lied to. I booked a windshield replacement appointment online. There is a button for that specific option. They also display the ICBC Express Glass logo on their homepage. Received several friendly confirmation and reminder messages. Arrived for my appointment only to be told "we don't do windshield replacements". Nobody at any time thought to contact me and say "there's been a mistake"? Wasted my morning for nothing. This could have been avoided with a little basic customer service. read more

The first time I was treated so well, Gurk help me understand the steps I needed as was very helpful in many respects, explaining to me my options, the quote given, any questions I had. I felt in good hands from the beginning till the end. They provided me with a Hertz rental SUV until my car was ready for pick up. All done in time, beautiful work, very respectful group to deal with. My car looked like new and inside I found a present from No. 1 Collision! I was the unfortunate victim of a hit and run while my car was parked on the street. My car is relatively new so to ensure I was going by the book I spoke to ICBC for approved estimate/repair places, and the dealership where I bought the car to see if they could make any recommendations on factory/warranty approved repairs. Add in the consensus from a few trusted friends and I was pointed here. I was apprehensive (as to be expected when your car is your baby). And let's face it, the less often you need to patronize this type of business, the better. The repair was extremely well done, the car was as good as new and the wash and vacuum and other detailing work in the interior was impeccable. They even detailed the regular fabric floor mats I store in my trunk that I never use. The repair was completed ahead of schedule (they quoted a two week turnaround but it was done in just one). The thank you card and token were a nice touch. I'm only shaving off a star for communication; some constructive feedback I feel should be noted. This location does not have courtesy cars -- they work with Hertz to provide alternative transportation while your car is in the shop. The way the rental was positioned and explained by the agent implied I would be paying for it, or at least gave me the impression taking a rental was discouraged, so my initial response was to say no to a car. I had to go back to ICBC to confirm this rental car would not be paid for out of my own pocket and that repair shops are required to provide you a substitute set of wheels unless you decline. Then I had to loop back in with the shop to ensure I would have a rental reserved for my drop-off day. When I arrived to drop my car off for the repair they still had me down as not needing a rental. That was the only hiccup and again could have just been a miscommunication. Overall, though, a great experience and I would absolutely trust them with my vehicle again (though as I mentioned I hope I never have to!) read more

My local bmw dealer doesn't do icbc claims, so they suggested to me to go to no 1 collusion. As I called the lady on the phone was rude didn't take some time and couldn't give me an appointment within 3 weeks. When I told her a truck hit me so its going to be a big job she wasnt even sure about the appointment anymore ?! I also would need a car during this time ,and about a car she also wasn't sure if that's possible. So I called around and found someone else for my 8700$ job on my bmw! Not a happy customer: My Tesla was left neglected sitting out in the sun waiting for parts for more than 2 weeks with day time internal temperature getting pass 50 degrees celsius and night time temperature below 10 degrees. Due to the temperature, during the first week, the battery was drained to around 20%. I notified them of the situation and they promised to charge the battery. But they DIDN'T! The car was sitting out in the sun for another week not charged. I have to complain and they finally plug it in. I am sure this is not good for the battery but hard to prove.. I was in a motor vehicle accident last month and it left my BMW looking like a wreck. I wasn't sure where I would be taking my car, so ICBC emailed me a list of ICBC certified repair shops. I looked for shops that would be relatively close to where I was, and narrowed it down to a few. When I checked out the websites and saw that No. 1 Collision was factory certified for way nicer cars with higher tech than my own (including Tesla!), I was confident they would be able to do a fantastic job. The next morning, I called in to make an appointment. You don't actually need to make one and they told me I could simply drop by. Yay! I ended up dropping my car off shortly after the call, and Ella came out to have a look at the damage. While ICBC had quoted me 1 week, she immediately let me know that it would take more like 3 weeks because they would be ordering the OEM parts from Germany. I could tell she knew what she was talking about and I appreciated that she was 100% up front about the process. She set me up with the paperwork, and got me into a very clean, unbranded rental car. I work in real estate, so it was nice that the rental didn't scream "I was in an accident" everywhere I went. Everyone at the shop was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and their customer service by far surpassed what I've experienced at other places. I came in that morning feeling overwhelmed and left as happy as I could've been (given the circumstance). A few days prior to the 3 week mark, I called in to ask if it would be possible to get my car back by a specific date (a Friday instead of a Monday). Ella handled the inquiry with grace and honesty. She let me know that, while she couldn't make any promises, she would try her very, very best to get it done for me by Friday. As luck would have it, they were able to come through! I was so stoked to have my car back and everyone who has seen my vehicle since the accident said they couldn't even tell I'd been in one! Truthfully, I think it looks even better than before I'd been in the accident. I'm not sure how they managed to make that happen, but even the interior was in pristine condition. After picking up my car, Ella did call to follow up on my vehicle and she asked how everything was running. I feel like this speaks wonders to the quality of their work and their commitment to exceeding their clients' expectations. Accidents are extremely stressful and full of logistical headaches, but they've made this part of the process as pain-free as possible and I'm really grateful for that. I firmly believe that Ella and the team at No. 1 Collision are the absolute best. They've been a pleasure to work with and I truly could not be happier with the results. I took my BMW here on more than 1 occasion, all times they did a superb job of fixing it so you couldn't even tell there was an issue in the first place. I believe this is where the BMW Store recommends its customers to go, and for good reason. Five stars b/c when i went to sell my car, i was missing a front fender reflector, and the owner (I'm blanking on his name, but awesome guy), asked for the keys, drove it to the back, and brought it back with one installed and told me not to worry about it. The paint matching was perfect, the car was spotless and completed on time. Since then, I have had to go back two times for some very minor repairs. Both times Billy (the manager), immediately took my vehicle and had the repairs done on the spot in minutes. Best of all, due to the nature of the repairs, he did so free of charge. This place was recommended to us by our dealer, and they did a great job of fixing a minor dent and paint scratches. I think the most important 3 things in getting repairs are: 1) a quality fix, 2) an honest and fair price, and 3) keeping the client informed. For this shop, the repair was great, the price was pretty standard based on a few quotes, and they didn't need to update us on progress as we got the repaired car back in only 2.5 days! Perhaps the only thing missing was getting a walk through of all the work that was done, but then I didn't specifically ask for one. read more

I found the staff to be friendly and helpful upon arrival and within a half hour I was driving away in a new, clean CRV that I will be driving in the meantime until my car is back in business. What a strange situation in that I had a very different encounter than the majority of respondents. I went in to get an estimate today. I called in advance and was told that an estimate would take 10 minutes and no appointment was necessary. I turned up at around 4:40 and she gave me an estimate within 1 minute. It's $1200 more than at Pender Autobody that gave me an estimate which took 25 mins. It was written over 3 pages and broken down clearly in terms of labour costs and supplies. Aside from feeling like I'm getting good advice as Yelp gives good reviews for Pender Autobody, I'm genuinely surprised that she thought a 1 minute estimate is a legitimate estimate. This makes me think that ICBC needs to audit because this attitude seems to suggest that they are getting business not through taking customers seriously - but by having ICBC claims.
