Very good indeed. I love getting the call on the way home, " can you pick up dinner." That means I don't have to cook! We are creatures of habit! Pot Stickers Chicken and Broccoli Sweet and sour chicken This place has way more, sushi etc. we will be exploring the menus on our next visit.

Pretty disappointed. Had good reviews, so my expectations were slightly elevated. The restaurant appeared very clean (surprising, I know) and crisp. But the food was borderline gross. I ordered gyoza and Szechuan chicken. The gyoza weren't even gyoza. WTF are these-just steamed dumplings with hot pocket mystery meat on the inside? These were not even fried. Why call them gyoza then? The Szechuan chicken was even worse. Took 2 bites and chucked the rest. Sauce was grainy and eerily reminiscent of ketchup. Yay Ketchup! if that's what you're into - then to each his own. Honestly tasted like it was finished in the microwave. Anyway, no sense in beating a dead horse. I'll never be back. I'll stick to New Style Chinese. It's nothing to shout about, but it's better than this place.

Sushi isn't as good as when they first opened, they seem to have problems getting/keeping a good Sushi Chef. They were putting smelly Salmon Eggs on the Sushi until we told them to stop and throw out the spoiled Salmon Eggs. They also sprinkle Multi-colored (rainbow colors) Candy Sprinkles on the Rainbow Roll unless you instruct them not to (we forgot tonight, picture below) WEIRD!! I've never had a Sushi Chef do this before anywhere! The Chinese food here is pretty good although there is a dish with Lobster and it's always way overcooked.

Rainbow roll? Should be called the sprinkle roll.

First visit, everything was very good. Shrimp roll had actual shrimp inside, not just tiny pieces.

We were looking for a place with flavorful food, and this turned out to be an excellent choice. The menu offers a great variety of sushi, ramen, hibachi, and other Japanese favorites. I ordered the Hibachi, while the rest of our group enjoyed the Spicy Pork Ramen Bowls. We also shared the Man on Fire sushi roll, which was packed with flavor and was one of the highlights of the meal. The hibachi included a choice of soup or salad, and we all chose the salad. It was fresh and crisp with a delicious house dressing, but the real star was the house jalapeño sauce. It added the perfect amount of flavor and just enough heat without being overpowering. I found myself putting it on everything because it made every bite even better. The Yum Yum sauce was also excellent, but that jalapeño sauce is something I'll remember long after the meal. The service was equally impressive. Even though the restaurant was busy, we were greeted warmly, seated quickly, and our server was attentive from start to finish. The staff checked on us often, kept everything moving efficiently, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The restaurant has a comfortable, inviting atmosphere, and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meal. This was an unplanned stop that turned into one of the best dining experiences of our road trip. If you're in the area, Kasai Japanese Restaurant is absolutely worth a visit--and don't leave without trying the house jalapeño sauce!

I was not able to get her attention just to be seated for what seemed a long time. Tuna Niguri sushi was perfect and my Hibachi was as well !

The storefront is surprisingly small and the inside is pretty cramped. We ordered a lot of things but just to get a server to give us menus and bring us waters took almost 10 minutes. Service was quite slow and getting our check took the longest. However, waiting for the actual food to come turned out to be not quite as bad. We got a bento box dinner, roll, separate salad (my BF couldn't help ordering this as an extra even though it's supposed to come with most entrees) and a fried collarbone of a tuna (forgot this term). Prices were slightly higher than other places like this but it did have this gigantic menu that was fun to browse. Taste and presentation of dishes were fine. Nothing really stood out. It wasn't really a place I was excited to go to again, especially not on a weekend. Early on while we were waiting for our food, the hostess gave my 8 yr old daughter a bill for another table with their debit card inside. We alerted the server after 5 minutes but that was not cool!

The hibachi chef leaned hard on a pee joke. One of those bits that might land with an eight year old but just kills the energy for everyone else at the table as everyone was 30+. Hibachi entertainment lives and dies on the performer and this one phoned it in. The food itself is bland compared to what the area offers. Edamame in Medina and Umami in Cuyahoga Falls are operating at a noticeably higher level on flavor. The only thing wasabi has on them is watching a guy cook. When local competitors outpacing this place, it's hard to justify the trip. Oh, and the floor was so greasy the chairs were sliding around throughout the meal. Not exactly a confidence booster when the restaurant should be clean. Even less of a booster when your party has 2 people using walkers and another 2 limited in movement.

China Express has managed to maintain fresh, high quality vegetables and meats during supply chain shortages. Yes, have had a few disappointing meals here. Used to burn egg foo young regularly. Egg rolls are variable. Soup is variable. I care about food I eat impacting health and well-being. The broccoli is usually super good. China Express does a very nice job for the cost of the dish. I do wish they and restaurants nearby would seriously think about going to healthier packaging alternatives. I don't like dealing with plastic waste. Having hot food steeping in plastic reminds me of Harvard Medical School info I read. Decide for yourself, but as a result, I eat out less and less. Here's a sample of that Harvard content published in 2019: Some of these chemicals have been linked to health problems such as metabolic disorders (including obesity) and reduced fertility. This leaching can occur even faster and to a greater degree when plastic is exposed to heat. They state an even HIGHER dose if you microwave leftovers. Less chance of that since serving sizes at most restaurants including China Express have gone down.
