The carpeted dining room has booths along the walls and table seating and the buffet station near the order counter. They offer the typical menu found at most standard Chinese restaurants including Lunch Specials ($8.25 in 2024) and Dinner Specials ($10.55 in 2024). I stopped by China Wok for lunch takeout recently. I headed to the counter in the back and ordered the L24 Shrimp Lo Mein Lunch Special ($8.25) served with pork fried rice and egg roll. My order was hot and ready to go in about 6 minutes and I enjoyed my food outside on a sunny day. Served in a round plastic bowl, the lo mein had soft noodles tossed with soy sauce, soft shrimp (cleaned), cabbage, and sprouts. The golden fried rice had a mix of carrots, peas, onions, and small roast pork pieces. The egg roll was filled with shredded cabbage and minced ground pork. The food tasted pretty good and this was enough food to keep me settled for the next few hours before having dinner down in Columbus.

I do wish they and restaurants nearby would seriously think about going to healthier packaging alternatives. I don't like dealing with plastic waste. Having hot food steeping in plastic reminds me of Harvard Medical School info I read. Decide for yourself, but as a result, I eat out less and less. Here's a sample of that Harvard content published in 2019: Some of these chemicals have been linked to health problems such as metabolic disorders (including obesity) and reduced fertility. This leaching can occur even faster and to a greater degree when plastic is exposed to heat. They state an even HIGHER dose if you microwave leftovers. Lunch is a perfect time to go if you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, since you still get a full, satisfying meal at a great value. We were warmly greeted as soon as we arrived and offered beverages right away. We chose water, jasmine tea, and green tea, all of which were served promptly. I asked about the summer rolls, and within just a few minutes they were on the table--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.
