if ur from LA like me, i came here bc i heard this was basically Dallas' version of Baekjeong, so i came in with those expectations. did Ari meet them? the place was def similar in vibe, but i wouldn't say they're quite up to par w Baekjeong. brisket was BOMB. probably one of the best briskets i've had at a kbbq spot and easily the star of the beef combo. LA galbi was really good too. the other meats were decent, although some were honestly difficult for me to chew -- especially the prime short rib /: which made it hard for me to really enjoy. kimchi pancake was SOOO good though. super crispy and flavorful, perfect thickness, and not oily at all. definitely one of the highlights. seafood pancake was fine but nothing mind blowing; kimchi pancake wins by far. banchan/sides were a little mixed. rice was kinda dry and hard, and the corn was also dry and didn't have much flavor. egg was good. surprisingly i actually really liked the salad and fish cake lol. the salad had this nutty note on top of the usual sangchu muchim-style flavor that gave it more depth and made it stand out from the typical kbbq salad. service was probably the biggest issue. they were SO busy that our meat got left unattended and burned at least 3 times especially when you're paying for higher quality cuts, it sucks watching the meat overcook because no one's there to tend to the grill. BUT value/quantity here is actually insane. we got the ~$140 beef combo and the amount of meat they gave us was way more than i expected. genuinely great portions for the price, especially considering the cuts included. if you're coming with a group and care about getting a lot of beef for your money, i think that's one of Ari's biggest strengths. overall, some very high highs but also some inconsistencies. brisket + kimchi pancake were easily the stars, portions were excellent, but some of the other meats/sides and the overwhelmed service brought it down for me. so compared directly to Baekjeong, i'd still personally take Baekjeong overall. but Ari definitely has its own wins -- especially the brisket, kimchi pancake, and the amount of meat you get for the money. read more

Unacceptable Service, and a Gratuity Calculation That Deserves Investigation Ari Korean BBQ had been one of our favorite restaurants and a place we chose for special occasions. On July 3, 2026, we brought a party of 13 to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday. After the way this evening was handled, this is now a one star review. I ordered the same meats for both sides of the large table. The servers working our side were excellent. They were friendly, attentive, cooked our meat promptly, refilled the side dishes, and kept everyone's water filled. They did their jobs well, and I gave them an additional cash tip to recognize their service. The other side of the same table received a completely different experience. The servers were inattentive, repeatedly passed that side of the table, and failed to cook the food within a reasonable time. Our side finished cooking and eating, yet approximately 40 minutes later, the final plate of bulgogi on the other side had not even been started. The raw meat sat uncovered at room temperature for approximately two hours. I finally asked for the manager, Christina, and explained what had happened. She offered no apology, discount, replacement food, or meaningful solution. Instead, she gave excuses and made accusations. Regardless of server assignments or how the restaurant divides its tables, half of our birthday party had finished eating while the other half was still waiting for the same food to be cooked. The billing issue made the experience worse. The receipt showed: Subtotal: $449.00 Tax: $37.04 "20%" gratuity: $97.21 Total: $583.25 Twenty percent of the $449.00 subtotal is $89.80, not $97.21. Ari calculated the gratuity using the subtotal plus the sales tax. As a result, the mandatory charge labeled as 20% was actually approximately 21.65% of the pretax sales price. Because of the serious service failure, I asked that the automatic gratuity be reduced to 18%. Our waiter politely took the request to the manager, but Christina refused. I wrote a total of $566.80 on the signed credit card receipt, yet the full $583.25 later posted to my account. I also separately tipped the servers on our side in cash because their service was excellent and they should not have been penalized for the failures on the other side. Texas Comptroller guidance states that a mandatory gratuity of 20% or less may be treated as nontaxable when it is separately labeled and distributed to qualifying service employees, while mandatory gratuities exceeding 20% are taxable. Ari's receipt labeled the charge as 20%, but the amount was approximately 21.65% of the pretax sales price. For that reason, I believe the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts should investigate this restaurant's gratuity calculations, sales tax treatment, and reporting practices. A customer receipt cannot establish how the restaurant ultimately reports or remits these amounts, which is exactly why an official review is warranted. On the way out, I approached Christina to explain why I disagreed with how the service complaint and gratuity were handled. She continued arguing, followed us outside the restaurant, and began questioning my daughter and her friends by asking whether they had enjoyed the food. That was inappropriate and turned an already disappointing evening into an uncomfortable end to our daughter's birthday celebration. Yes, the food tasted good. However, good food does not excuse raw meat sitting uncovered for two hours, a 40 minute delay after half the table had finished eating, a manager refusing to apologize or offer any resolution, a gratuity that did not match the percentage printed on the receipt, or charging more than the total written on the signed credit card slip. This was not simply about a few dollars. It was about food handling, service, billing accuracy, accountability, and how management treated a longtime customer raising a legitimate concern. Ari had been one of our favorite restaurants, but after this experience, we will not return. read more

this place is more like like a 3.5 out of 5 stars. I come from socal, where there are numerous kbbq spots. (i think just in LA alone, there are hundreds.) We ended up getting the small beef combo which will feed 2 people for 80 bucks. so after tip and tax, it's easily over 100 bucks for two people. Keep in mind, this is not an AYCE korean bbq. The beef combo comes with Brisket, short rib, rib finger meat and bulgogi. I think the best one is the short rib followed by the brisket and then the rib finger meat and last is bulgogi. I wasn't a huge fan of the bulgogi as it was a bit dry for my taste. on your grill, there is a section for grilled cheese corn and egg. Make sure you don't over cook your grilled cheese corn, we accidently left it on for too long, and the corn was too burnt by the time we took it off. I think you can get refills, on the corn and egg, but they charge you for it. I'm glad they don't charge for the banchan. I suppose this place is a bit more expensive, as they use "premium" meats and cook the means for you. If you want pork, they have a pork combo for you. or beef/pork combo as well. We went during a weekend lunch, and we were surprised we were able to get a seat without any wait time. Maybe during dinner, it gets packed? read more

I came here in a group of 5 at about 8pm on a Sunday after doing karaoke nearby. I consume a large amount of hotpot, KBBQ, yakiniku, you name it, and this was honestly my least favorite experience I've had in a while. I found the servers cooking your food to actually be somewhat inconvenient of a gimmick. All the meats I received were overcooked to my tastes, and it made the experience take twice as long - we were there for 2.5 hours. Additionally, we had a party member who couldn't eat pork, so we tried to ask that all the beef get cooked first and then the grill switched so the rest of us could have the pork. This just seemed to confuse the staff, and this wouldn't have happened had we been cooking the meat ourselves. I was also disappointed with the sauce options for the meat, and thus found myself eating pretty flavorless meat. I will say, the large meal for 4 was too much even for the 5 of us, so keep that in mind when it comes to portions. Overall, I don't think I'd in good faith wish to come here again for $35/person. We celebrated my daughter's graduation here in May and there's nothing bad I can say at this location. Our server, Aaron was awesome. He explained that he can help us cooked our food, brought our orders in timely manner and had good conversation with the group while cooking our food. Service was friendly, and they cook the meat for you at your table. They were a little chaotic at times, nearly burning me while replacing the grill and accidentally flooding our cooked meats (on the rim) with water when trying to reset the grill. We had the 4 person package, which was the perfect amount of food for the four of us. I eat more than most people but it balanced out across the group. The soups were really good. I really liked both of the ones we got. The sides are typical but solid. The meats were overall good, but some were lacking in flavor a bit. I didn't fully realize that until like the 4th one, which was marinated. That one was delicious and the others really seemed a bit bland before/after that. Overall it was a fine experience. I started becoming aware of this when a majority of servers (who are all super friendly- one reason for the stars ) were saying some version of "welcome back" whenever we showed up. Admittedly, it was after hearing "wow twice in one week!" that I realized a review was overdue. Having tried a lot of Korean (and other kinds of) BBQ, this one stands out for me. Everything at Ari is consistently very good, and that reliability is the first thing I think of. Like many other Korean bbq, Ari has a selection of meats to choose from. While we have some favorites (seasoned prime short rib) all of them are very good. I love the soybean soup and the salad with its very tasty dressing. The egg and cheese corn which cook alongside the grill seem to always be kept full. I don't know what all the sides are other than kimchi and my favorite pickled radish, but there are many. While water is provided, we like to ask for the buckwheat tea as well. Service is really good here- servers are very friendly and attentive- which for me earns an extra star. read more

If I could them 10 stars I would! Stopped in for the first time this weekend & needed to order an item for to go. I found the options available to be great choices. I love galbi ribs so I chose this bowl which also came with rice and noodles along with traditional Korean sides of kimchi, pickled cucumbers & one other item that I don't know the name of. Most of the time you have to choose at other places between rice or noodles so it was a pleasant surprise that it came with both. This bowl was delicious!! It had a great amount of galbi & noodles that were robust in flavor. I should've ordered another one for later too, but that's another reason to go back soon. Let me digress to the point of when I put in the order because I would be remiss if I didn't speak to the amazing level of customer service the gentleman provided. After putting in my order, he asked if I would like something to drink and I ordered an ice water. I told him I would be back in a little while and was about to stand outside to wait. While I was standing outside and gone down towards another business, I hear my name & to my surprise he brought my water out to me. I was really appreciative of just that alone but went into the boba tea place to look at their menu and order. While at the register I hear my name again; He brought my to go order to the counter while I was there. Now if that's not EXCELLENT customer service, I don't know what is! He wanted to make sure I got it hot, quickly & didn't have to go back in to pick it up. In a fast pace world where sometimes people just want to get you in and out of there without giving a reason to patronize a business again (with less than up to par customer service) Ari stands out!! I don't know them at all & had not ever been in there until Sat. but if this is how they treat even the to go customers, this speaks volunteers in a profound way on how everyone that walks in the door matters; Furthermore, our business is appreciated. Ari, I heart you. I'm sorry for saying "Ari is mid" 5 years ago lmao. One of my go-to (not AYCE) kbbq place in Dallas. Eugene (the owner) and all the servers we've had have been so nice and accommodating. I love that they cook your meat for you coz your girl needs to relax and enjoy the food at kbbq places some times :') Love the ambiance here, you can see everybody here just has a good time - bonus for the music not being too loud. Their cold noodle is the best I've had in the area. I ALWAYS get it and could finish the whole thing by myself (unfortunately my fiancé likes it too and j have to share :'( ). Their soy bean soup and banchan are so tasty too. My fav meats to get are the seasoned short rib & pork jowl. I looove eating the egg, meat, rice and kimchi all in one bite.
