There was a delay in him getting there because another job took longer than he anticipated but they kept me updated and asked if it was still okay for him to come at the next two hour service window. I appreciated that because it was respectful of my time. Of course it was fine. Darren arrived, assessed the situation, and gave me three options. I opted to replace the tank and bring it up to code but held off on the tankless option. He came prepared with a high quality heater in the truck with everything he needed so he did the work right then and about two hours later he was done and we had hot water again. The billed amount was the same as the quote he gave me earlier. Not cheap but on par with expected costs and they use high quality components. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Payless Water Heaters.

Most importantly he gave me a solid rundown on what to look for, a couple water drainage issues he spotted that may cause us problems in the future, and wrapped up. Cost of the inspection covered his repairs. We were done within an hour. I'll call these folks back for future water furnace needs--hope they can fix whatever happened with the warning call.

All he did was clean the showerhead of calcification. I also want to include that he broke the handle off the original cartridge because he claimed it was stripped; however, later he was able to remove the broken piece with the correct tool. That shows a lack of patience and experience. Lastly, the information given to me was that the insurance paid $175, and we paid $75 for the deductible, plus another $275, which is the part my wife is upset about, for a grand total of $525 collected by your company for a cartridge change and cleaning a shower head.

We had a huge problem with the main water valve that services 22 condos after hours. The valve needed to be closed but got stuck and couldn't be opened, distrusting services to everyone for several hours. I am on the HOA board and at first we were directed to another emergency plumber by our management company who came out and told us it would be an expensive repair and parts were needed, which he didn't have on hand and needed to go find (he was charging by the hour). We then called Ron and did FaceTime with him to review the setup and issue. He diagnosed the problem was over the phone and said he could do the job for a reasonable price without changing anything, as issue was pressure in the line. He came across town as soon as he could (around 9pm) and in short order fixed the stuck valve without changing any parts, just like he said, and restored water to 22 angry condo owners. Ron was a life saver, he was honest and didn't try to milk us for money. He is now our plumber of choice going forward. read more

Finally found a plumber who knows what he is doing! I have had a few different plumbers come over to figure out why we weren't getting hot and cold water from our kitchen faucet and why we were getting a leak into our dishwasher, but none of them seemed to have any clue as to what was causing the problems nor did they show any interest in digging deeper to solve the issues. Absolutely fabulous, things I've had fixed over and over I could see Ron made a 'real' fix after many patch jobs over the years. He has such attention to detail, really thinking it through in linking a problem to it's root cause... 'the hip bones connected to the.. ' and not for any extra cost. He simply was thorough, got it right and affordable while repairing a history of bodge / bandaid temp jobs. And, I realised the difference between a handyman and an actual educated and experienced plumber. Save a penny and pay a dollar!! if there were a 6 stars I'd rate as such. Ron was very professional, patient, and offered excellent guidance and advise. We called him when we noticed a leak from our refrigerator. He came out on a Sunday afternoon and identified the issue to be a problem with the filter. He replaced the valve and resolved the issue immediately. I asked him to also replace our galvanized plumbing in the upstairs bathroom. He took charge of the job and purchased all the materials, kept the house clean, and worked around our schedule. Most honest reliable plumber we've ever dealt with. Vahan was able to detect a disaster that would shut us down for a couple days before it happen. We upgraded our water heater to a tankless in a matter of a couple hours. We were up and running in no time. Vahan's customer service was exception. As hard as it is to find a good plumber try finding one that is willing to work around your schedule. Ron was amazing! He fixed my sink when the previous job messed up. He was very knowledgeable and honest, he even attempted to tighten my kitchen faucet even though it was not a part of the job. I callled Ron around 1am with an emergency in my bathroom. Instead of charging me to come out in the middle of the night he walked me through exactly what to do. He was the closest pro to my area (none of my local companies were listed as Rinnai certified pros). About 6 months ago, my Rinnai 75i natural gas tankless water heater started intermittently not working and beeping a code 11 (with no hot water output). Usually, just restarting it would fix the issue, but sometimes, it would take multiple restarts. I called out a few local companies, all with good reviews. The general consensus was since my heater was now over 10 years old, it was out of warranty, and it was time to replace it. I spent the next few months researching which unit to replace it with (e.g. whether to switch to re-circulating, whether to get one with a larger GPM capacity, what energy efficiency, etc). There were so many choices I ended up delaying, given the issue I was having was intermittent. In the end, I never got around to replacing my unit (to my luck). Flash forward to this week, my unit keep beeping code 11 regardless of how many times I restarted it. I set out to make a final decision on its replacement as now I had a greater sense of urgency. Somehow I landed on a Youtube video which talked about how a dirty burner and other issues are often the source of a code 11. After watching the video, I suspected my unit needed maintenance and didn't necessarily need to be replaced. I talked to Mauricio on the phone and described how the unit would try to fire up 3 times and then start beeping code 11. He was pretty confident he could get it working again. He came out, listened to the unit, and immediately identified the fan as one issue without even opening up the unit (just by how it sounded). This ended up 100% spot on, as when he pulled it out, it had some little fruit fly-type insects that had made their way into the fan and died. He also pulled out the burner and as he pulled it out, debris came out, which the YouTube video had indicated was a common cause of the code 11. He inspected and cleaned all the internal components, as well as did a system flush which is a recommended maintenance to remove the effects of hard water. He diagnosed the burners as the primary culprit due to how much debris had collected in it over time. He put my unit back together and said that overall my unit is in excellent condition (definitely not needing to be replaced at this time). So, for a very small fraction of the cost of replacing the whole tankless unit, Mauricio was able to get my unit up and running again with just a service call, and I was able to avoid sending more trash to a landfill. I highly recommend that if you have any tankless water issues, you let Mauricio take a look at it before you decide to get it replaced.

The AC then in my home was thought and suspicious not to be good to provide cold air. This was in the middle to hottest days of the year in 2024 summer (although I delay the review till now), I contacted Joe, Joe said that he was in the busiest days of the year (because of hot days) working on several work orders waited on the line and he said he was sorry that he did not pick my call then and that he did not have time to come over right away. However, he came over later before long. He carefully checked my AC unit of every components (power, main unit, cooling tubes and compressed tubes to and from the main unit, inlets, outlets, measuring the temperatures at multiple places, and many), he eventually pin-point the problems, such as filters and so on. The problem was resolved. For the whole thing, he charged me the minimal, costing me minimal money; how honest a man. I was so happy, thank you Joe!
