Had lunch there this past Saturday. Yes, CASH ONLY! Their prices are great. Yes, cash only is a pain but knowing it in advance hit the ATM and enjoy your meal. Service was spot on and so was the food. Wife had the loaded chicken taco and I had the beef taco with black beans. The chips were perfectly seasoned with salt. The guac and salsa were fresh and yummy. Not sure if they do free refills on salsa but a bigger bowl would have been enjoyed more but that's because it was that good. If I am ever in the area again I will stop in for food again. read more

I'm so sad to write this review but as true Taqueria lover No problemo is no bueno. I wish I knew it was cash only before I placed my order(maybe I missed the sign) I only had to walk two blocks down to an ATM(the one inside wouldn't recognize my BOA debit card) the walk wouldn't have been too bad if it was raining/starting to snow. Matters not! I press on for highly recommended burrito. Made my way back. Paid my 19$ then proceeded to wait as if they hadn't even placed my order and said I would be back to pay. The place was busy so I was patience. About 20min later my food arrived. I live 45min away from the restaurant (visiting a local friend who recommended the spot) I drive Allll the way home. Excitedly unwrap a great potion size burrito only to realize Zero taste. I'm not joking. The rice. Chicken. So bland!!!! Not too mention it was missing ingredients. I got a second burrito for my husband which was equally as tasteless but I said no beans. He took a big bit and black bean explosion. It was almost as if they heard Extra beans. This place is convenient and I like that they offer both sit down and counter service. I ordered at the counter and sat at one of the few tables available. I got the Santa pepper. It just alright though, I don't know if I'd go back. This place was highly recommended so maybe it was just an off day. I don't know whether or not I would go again. read more

Best Cali-Mex place around! Always fresh and portions are large. You get what you pay for and then some! The only drawback is that they only accept cash, so if you aren't someone who carries paper money around with you, you'll have to "buy" some cash from their atm to pay for your food. They take excellent care of me and making sure I am safe because of all my food allergies...They make everything in-house so they know what is in all of their food (which is amazing!) This spot is a hidden treasure. Was my first time eating here and everything was amazing. I give mad respect to the cooks and everyone behind that counter lol because it was hot as hell and seeing the space they have to prepare those delicious meals is insane. It's more Tex-Mex style. It's cool they have jarritos- I got the tamarindo. Their margaritas are made with agave wine. The server gave my friend a generous taste when she asked about it. Love their sandwiches ask for extra hot. Only issue I find is that you get a delicious salad nice big. Yummy. But they give you enough dressing for 1/3 of the salad. Everyone knows the dressing makes a salad. The lime dressing is great but -- Where is it? You need three dressings for one salad. Seriously how much does it cost to make. 2.5 Tablespoons of dressing on a salad that is 2+ cups. At least list as extra for more $$. read more

This is a good spot for Mexican food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The meat burritos are pretty good but the veggie burritos are a little plain and definitely need sauces to give them some pep! I like the atmosphere. It is very relaxed, open with lots of space and the tables are not too close together. It is fast dining/casual. More of a spot to go for a quick bite than a place you would bring a date. read more

I love No Probs! I can't believe a place this good is in New Bedford of all places. BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN THE AREA HANDS DOWN. I am vegan and they have tons of options, just ask for it "no cow". Everyone gets the burritos, but I think the secret win is the tacos! With the tacos, you can really taste the toasted shell! (pro tip: add avocado!) Also the beans and rice with avocado is a great protein after a long work out (ie bike ride). If you go to the sit down side, you can make things a meal. Get the veggie taco, with avo and make it a meal For The Win. The have great drinks but if you're looking for adult drinks, they only have wine and beer. My only compliant is that I love spicy food (like x 100) and sometimes the diablo is spicy enough and other times.... not so much. I just wish it was always the same level of spicy. read more

No Problemo is a fixture in the hearts and minds of many a New Bedford resident. I can see why it may be appealing although I can't jump on the bandwagon with much enthusiasm. I suppose I could for specific items but this place can be a big hit or a big miss. Pros: -Super fresh ingredients - all the veggies have such a satisfying crunch! -Spicy BBQ Chicken burrito - a 5 star burrito - the flavors shine here! -Very generous portions -Chicken taco - yum! I enjoyed the shell flavor and it was just thin/thick enough -Your dollar will go far - burritos are $5.50-$8.50, most of them are $7; everything else on the menu is very affordable - students, take note! Cons: -Veggie Burrito - fell flat, no depth to flavors (I think they need to add some more spices or something - I'm not a chef, not my job to figure it out) -Veggie torta - bland, boring -Cash only Got a small spinach salad for lunch and a chicken taco. Enjoyed the taco. Salad - a heap of fresh veggies on top of beans and lettuce - a lively medley! The only downside: too acidic - it needed something else to balance it out - maybe corn? Or maybe some guac or juicy shrimp! Something to get the pucker out. Their hot sauces aren't so bad - the heat is there but not the best flavors I've had. Service can be pretty good, but most of the time it's standard. Not super friendly but not unfriendly - no vibe generally. Do I care if the food tastes like authentic Mexican? Not really. We all know what matters - the flavors and textures! If it tastes good, it tastes good. I think they have a lot of potential, but I don't come here confident that most of the things I order will be a hit - I just hope that they will be. I just had lunch there today with two friends. It was our first time here. I really wish I could give it more stars, as the food was delicious, but other things made our experience not so good. The service was horrible. Probably some of the worst service I've ever received. We waited for a few minutes to even be greeted by anyone. Once seated we weren't greeted by our waiter for 10 minutes. He never said hello nor gave his name. He wasn't at all friendly and it seemed an inconvenience for us to be there. He messed up on our simple appetizer of chips and salsa, and two of our dishes. I personally asked for a veggie burrito bowl, vegan style. He brought me a burrito and when I mentioned it was incorrect, fixed it but he clearly just dumped my burrito contents into a bowl. Thank goodness I don't have a gluten allergy or that would have been a problem! Our waiter never once refilled our drinks nor asked us if we wanted anything else. He never came around after our meals were placed, but with our bill. So we didn't even have an opportunity to order more drinks. Last, this place is cash only. We had no clue and were told there is a sign on the door outside. We didn't see any on the way in. We checked on our way out, and there's a small sign by a random side door that clearly is missed by all. This just seems incredibly sketchy to me. What restaurant establishment doesn't accept credit cards? I run a small business and know of many card readers that are free to purchase and offer small fees. I'm not sure if I would come back here. The food was good and tasted fresh, but between the horrible service and cash only problem, there doesn't seem a reason for me to come back. There are plenty of other Mexican establishments I'd be much happier to dine at in the area. read more

I had high hopes about this place. I have been carrying cash around just for the right moment. We called our order in. I ordered the Chicken California Burrito Bowl. It looked yummy with its avacados, cucumber, black beans, rice and salsa....but it was as bland as could be. It had no flavor, no spice, no charcoal texture or anything that reminds me of mexican food. The guacamole had the most flavor and when compared to the store bought "Fiesta chips" it has the most personality of anything I ordered. I'm glad that I went big and ordered the chips... it was the only way I could eat my bowl. The were about as bland as a plastic spoon. You would think when you ordered a to go bowl they would throw in a spoon for shits and giggles. The shop is cute. Hip and trendy. I wish I would have worn my mustache in when I came. I honestly don't see the appeal of this place it's almost like it's overly hyped by college kids. I've had it 3x and every time I didn't like it. Luckily only 1x I had to pay since it was paid for by work the other 2x. It's like they don't season their food idk why it's just so bland and the avocado never taste good like it wasn't ripe yet. It's pretty bad to think going to Taco Bell would be a better choice.. but if you legit want a good burrito take the drive and go to Qdoba Wareham or fiesta in Dartmouth which is DELICIOUS read more

Whenever I'm in the area, I consider whether or not I have time for a trip to No Problemo. I love this place dearly. It's cute with hipster decor -- something I'm used to in Providence, but is pretty rare in this neighborhood. With the several times I've visited, I've never had bad service. This is so key. The place is super clean and the music is usually pretty interesting and cool. Important: Cash only! On to the food -- best bang for your buck in the area. I can get super full for less than $10. That's exactly what people are looking for from a place like this -- good food without the pretentiousness. I have enjoyed the chips with guacamole and fresh pico, the delicious taquitos (small tacos not the tubular frozen things you buy at the market), and the beefy super burrito. No Problemo is one of the most popular food spots in New Bedford. With a group of friends, someone always suggests stopping in for a bite. I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food, so I usually settle on quesadillas or a burrito -- the burritos are huge, by the way -- and I'm satisfied. It's got a fairly extensive menu and a pretty cool atmospheric vibe. My husband and I were visiting downtown New Bedford when we wanted a quick snack. We found No Problemo on accident and so glad that we did. We asked the person taking our order if they'd recommend the chicken or pork taco and he immediately told us the pork so we got 2. We waited ~10 mins and in that time saw a ton of people come in who ordered ahead (definitely recommend). Once we received our food, we quickly devoured the tacos as we continued our stroll and they were DELICIOUS. Unlike other places where the shell gets super soggy due to the wet ingredients, these were crispy and held together perfectly. We continued walking around New Bedford and 30 minutes later, we decided we wanted (needed?) more tacos so we called ahead and placed our order. The same worker greeted us when we entered the restaurant and remembered our order but luckily, we already called in! They definitely have two new out-of-town customers! I tried one Friday evening with a friend and the whole place was overwhelmed; the kitchen could only dish out so much at a time. We were there for nearly an hour waiting for burrito bowls. We tried again the following Friday this time instead of sitting down for the restaurant we decided to just order at the counter and sit. A bit faster but still the crowd was roaring. It was clear to taste why. For having such a simple menu the energy was spent in the craft of the plate. Full of flavors and a typical portion of Mexican for the price. We have a problemo... Went here for the first time today and was immediately greeted by rude employees. I was asked to call in our order from outside which was understandable. As I watched the employees mill about, I made about 4 phone calls to the restaurant that were not answered, I was then accosted by an employee that scolded me for standing too close to their door and not staying socially distanced, though there was no one else even around. I was handed a menu by the entrance literally a minute before and was not told I couldn't call and order from where I was standing. I finally was able to place my order and explained to another employee as my food was being handed to me that I didn't appreciate the attitude towards a customer for simply trying to place an order. More than happy to abide by whatever Covid measures the business wants, but if you really don't want a customer waiting for their order near the entrance while no one is around, you should probably make that clear on your signage, which was not displayed anywhere. If you don't like where I'm standing, just ask with some manners. The employee sort of apologized but I could tell my concern fell on deaf ears. Lastly, the food was entirely mediocre. Chipotle's burritos are sadly better. Mix in some employees that were having a bad day and you've got a place to never recommend or return to. read more

I found this place on the app bc it was close and had good reviews. Boy, they did NOT disappoint. The place is very comfortable whether you sit at the bar or a table, the atmosphere is very relaxed. The decor is what you'd expect from and authentic Mexican restaurant. Great themes. The food was off the chain!!! I had a beef burrito with guacamole on the side. First, i expected ground beef but it was steak. Then the filling rice and beans was hot and tasted fresh and the lettuce, tomato and cheese also tasted very fresh. The two hot sauces the had on the bar were also awesome. I can't wait to come back and try some other menu items.
