Flambé prepared table side

I never review food. this place is so fantastic and will live in the pantheon of the best meals of my life. Miguel our waiter had the best recommendations and made me both the best banana flambé and Cesar salad I've ever had. During our entire meal I thought they were playing a beautiful classical guitar playlist as we were sitting outside but no they had a fist rate guitarist playing live all evening. Honestly I would have paid to just see him. Incredible vibes, fabulous service, cannot wait to come back.

This place is now on my favorites list! Great food and atmosphere. I had the chicken enchiladas (with molè) and they were so tasty! Can't wait to go back and try more!

Live music and you guessed Jose as the singer.

Yes, Way Jose! This is my first five-star review in PV, I think I may have found my all-time favorite restaurant for many reasons. The ambiance is lovely, you are seated on the top floor of an open-air terrace which is beautifully decorated. The owner has an amazing voice and periodically sings throughout the evening. Everything we had was delicious and fresh. The nightcap and desserts where the real show stopper. Definitely, save room to share a specialty coffee and or fried ice cream which is prepaired table side.

We loved this place. Great food and wonderful service. This was well worth coming to. If you are looking for a great experience on vacation you found the spot.

Banana dessert

We have been to this restaurant for 3 times now and going back two more times next week because of service, ambience and food. Everything is great from appetizers, main course to dessert! Maybe little pricey than some other places in area but well worth it..

So wonderful from the food/service to the atmosphere to the mariachi band. Not exactly sure how I came across this place originally either via Yelp or another angle but so glad I gave it a try. It's defiantly worth going and not on the main strip which I actually prefer. The main dining area is upstairs so if you walk up and see the downstairs empty don't worry at all. Upstairs is where it's at with an open air dining room and balcony. The service was really outstanding. Our waiter was one of the best I have had in a long time. The mariachi band was really good and played at a volume that was just right. The food, drinks and wine were very good although a little heavy on the dressing and sauces but either than that top notch and fresh. Defiantly will be back.

Cute staff

Insanity x10. The owner joins the ban serenading the patrons, fire towers for our birthday boy and smashingly authentic food. Truly a shocking find. Do not be misled by the shitty street or storefront facade, the real show is on a romantic second floor setup. Truly the best find in PV.

Beautiful decor and lighting.

This restaurant is now called "OK, José" and it's definitely more than OK! The interior decor and lighting is tasteful and romantic. There was beautiful live music taking place on the night we died. Service was attentive and my husband and I were both pleased with our dinner choices. We especially enjoyed the Caesar salad, made traditionally and in front of us at our table. A hidden gem; we'll be back.

The entrance is across the bridge in old town (not the one by the boardwalk). After cross, turn left and you're there.

No Way Jose is one of the best restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. Don't book your trip until October 15th when the restaurant is open for the busy season. But even if you come off-season like we did, it is still worth it. Jose was there and talked with us. One of his cooks made us a real Caesar Salad in front of us. They had 2:1 drink specials going and they made us Shrimp Fahita's (one order makes six fahita's which is plenty of food). Service was impeccable and we had the restaurant to ourselves. The chef made a few complimentary appetizers. With three Mohito's, two Coronas, the Caesar salad and Fahita's, our bill was 477 pesos which was very reasonable. If you go full season, you got to try the stuffed chicken. I don't remember the proper name, but we've been thinking of this one dish for the last four years!!

We had the great fortune to dine at No Way Jose for a friend's birthday that was arranged by its owner, Julie Guerrero. The food was not only amazing but the ambiance they provided for the evening was extraordinary. NWJ is now one of our best destinations to PVR. We dined al fresco in the roof terrace and Julie provided all the best for the occasion from the linens, candles, center pieces, and a very delicious dinner. I had the snapper and it was fresh and cooked just the right way. Their mole is one of the best tasting in Old Town PVR too. So the next time you have a special occasion to celebrate down Mexico Way, or just to dine around town, don't hesitate to contact the restaurant and they will provide you not only with excellent service but also an exciting evening you will never forget. Thanks Julie for a wonderful evening. You made our stay in Old Town PVR truly memorable. And oh, the Mexican coffee preparation is an art form in itself. So a million thanks from San Francisco, CA and we hope to see you again in our next visit. XO

You have to pluck a third of the meat with your fingers just to get the tortilla to structurally hold. There is always a line. On a random Tuesday it stretched down the street long before the door opened. I waited twenty five minutes at four in the afternoon for a seat inside. No to go orders, no doggy bags. You eat what you order and leave behind your self respect. The dining room is packed tighter than a turtle's pecker. A dozen staff members move around each other like bees tending the hive, the rhythm wild and relentless. The tacos themselves are intimidatingly large, the vibe unlike anything I have ever seen. Come for the al pastor, and come hungry. If you cannot finish, no option exists but to weep over the abandoned morsels.

It's thicker, more cheesy than what I've ever had before and very delicious. We paired that with the prime rib tacos, it was a plate stacked with meat and 4 tortillas under it, more than we could eat. The seasoning was great, it was diced so small that it was easy to eat. I got a virgin strawberry margarita, the wife got a coke. It was very affordable.

Vegans are easy please. Give them clear marked options, even if there is one option, we are pleased. This place had a few clearly marked options plus the staff was fully aware and can provide suggestions. The only downside it is a cash only place. Guacamole and chips - fantastic. The guacamole freshly prepared and chips fresh fried. Amazing. The 3 types of vegan tacos we got were vegan chorizo, mushrooms and cactus (trying for the fist time). The vegan chorizo was the best, slightly spicy but not overly. The poblano peppers were predictable but very good. The onions with it were a good addition. Nicely seasoned and prepared. The cactus was good, we found that it was less seasoned. Just stir fried cactus. The star of all the three types tacos was the fresh blue corn tacos. We could have those everyday. The other superb tasting was the salsas and fresh toppings. 4 types of salsas, white onions and cilantro. The salsa were of varying different levels of heat and even the mildest salsa was the best. The virgin margarita and virgin mojito were great. Margarita being slightly better even though we love mint. Good atmosphere, clean surrounding and great service and vegan food - what more can one ask?
