Like some of the others, this is a bait and switch. The quote that they gave me was way too low ($129) and when the guy came in, Jerry, he quoted me $900. So, the background, I have an older furnace that had some black soot coming out of the vents and he said it was mold and mildew. He assessed the furnaces in the attic, and told me what he had to do. Sounded reasonable, so I agreed. This was on a Thursday. After he left, the problems were 1) the blower stopped working after he finished so I had no AC during that heat spell in May 2) there was a small gas odor after he finished 3) he didn't do the dryer vent cleaning because he had to be somewhere in the afternoon, at 2:30pm! He was telling me all the things wrong with my HVAC system as though he didn't want to do the work, but was completely interested in talking about the house that he was building and how great the HVAC was. But what's disappointing to me, especially, was his unprofessionalism. He didn't complete the job at 2:30pm because he had to "go to downtown to talk to the painters for his house that is being built." Like you are on company time, how many other jobs has he not finished or completed for his company to tend to personal matters? I paid in cash, so he likely didn't even report this job. I called another HVAC team and they fixed my furnace blower to just get the AC working but also gave me a great deal to just replace that old furnace upstairs. They were also the ones that explained all the bad work that was done prior, and the lack of work that Jerry did! When they ripped out the junction box, all the mold and stuff Jerry took a picture of was still there! The major thing was the gas leak, and fortunately my new HVAC guy found it. That could have been very dangerous. After the work of the other HVAC company was done and I had time to think about all that Jerry for NOA didn't do, he called me and said that he could come on the Saturday for the dryer vent cleaning. When I asked him what time, he said he'd check and get back to me. Then he never called me back. Then he calls me randomly on Sunday, the next day, and I cancelled on him at this point because I don't trust his work, or this company. Beware of NOA, and how they take advantage of you not knowing about HVAC. As a nurse, I naturally just wanted the best for my family in terms of air quality. But to damage the system I had in place, despite the age, and potentially cause more danger with a gas odor and leak, I don't think I can trust this company. Plus the fact that Jerry, was more concerned with his own personal project than helping me was a real turn off. He said it'd only take 10-15min, but didn't do it? Because of traffic to his paint match appointment? Bad value, bad customer service, bad work. Response time was good, but the only reason why I had to leave a star is because you can't leave a '0' star review. read more

We were looking to add insulation to our attic. We were like an R14, builders code back in the day. I did research about insulation and the 3 types, pros and cons. We invested in Cellulose and increased our R value to an R49. Less see our utility bills now?!? We were quoted over $10k for foam (yes the R value would be 60) and received 5 other quotes. Quotes ranged from $1800 to over $10K. We paid a bit more than $1800, but got a much better product for just over $2000. Do your homework and use referrals. read more

Showed up late. Almost an hour and a half past my appointment window. Said my home was too new and blamed my dryer even though it's brand new and has already been diagnosed and serviced and was told it was in great condition. Insurance, dryer servicer and my inspector all said to have vent cleaned. Vent tech wouldn't clean vent even after I asked to do it anyways just for my peace of mind. Still had to pay even though no service was rendered. Hired another company to come out and they ran a camera in my line and found a small birds nest inside the vent line which was partially blocking the vent and could have become a major issue. I admit the cost was higher than I imagined. However the tech who came out was prompt, professional and made me feel confident in his work. He discovered a number of problems that may have contributed to my chronic respiratory problems. He advised of the most pressing issue and completed the work quickly and efficiently. I was very impressed and would recommend the company. I think my tech's name was Jerry. But I told him he may have saved my life. He turned around and earnestly ask "why would you say that". Very disappointed. Made an appointment on Tuesday for the following Monday to have Chimney cleaned. Appointment time between 3-6 pm. At 1 pm Monday I had to call to confirm I still had an appointment only to be told there was an issue with their truck that morning and they were running late. I asked at that time if there was a chance that my appointment wouldn't happen, I was only told "I hope not"!!! Well... I want to say how impressed I was with the service and the quick turnaround. I had called early at 7 am to see how fast I could get someone over to inspect and clean my chimney. They had someone out here by 9am. Jerry and his co-worker were very friendly, informative, and knowledgeable. They explain all my options and then recommended the best course of action. In my communication with the company the person who answered the phone (Jen) was just as friendly and wanted to help me better understand what I needed help on. I was hesitate at first since I had seen a lack of reviews on Yelp and Google. But, I am glad I went with my gut and ordered their services. I just called regarding a Groupon I just purchased today and NOA cleaning said it was not valid. Confused as I just purchased this Groupon 10 minutes prior I asked the manager with NOA if I could pay the additional $40 for them to come clean my place for the full price of $99 which they are now charging. She said no and was not helpful and seemed upset with me that she was having to explain all of this to me. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she was the manager, baffling to me seeing that she spoke to me as a employee who could care less about their job. The customer service was poor seeing that it's your poor management to have a Groupon available for purchase that you are no longer honoring, then to seem upset and discouraged that you're having to talk about it with a potential client. The entire encounter was disheartening and frustrating. Hopefully you work on your customer service and instead of seeming disgruntled that you are having to deal with me being confused maybe just apologize for the inconvenience and take a different approach. read more

I was putting in new gas logs and Jerry explained exactly what i needed to do regarding the sand and the stuff that goes on top of sand. I had previously had my carpet "cleaned" less than a year ago by a company who charged very little. I have a dog and the stairs get a ton of traffic in my house. I'm not going to lie I was pretty annoyed when the deep cleaning was suggested by NOA because of course it cost more but I knew they were pretty bad so I decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did because my carpet which I was beginning to think was ruined looks new again and it smells great! They work really fast too. read more

I called on a Friday to set up an appointment for the following week. The appointment was for a Tuesday between one and four. So on Tuesday before I left work early I called to verify that the appointment was still good and the technician will be on time. They said yes. At 345 I called them again saying I have not heard anything and it is almost four. The woman said she will have the technician contact me right away. Thirty minutes later still nothing. So I called several times with no answer. Left a voicemail. And now it is the next day I called them again with no answer and have not received a call back. All I see are great reviews which is why I chose them. But I figured people should know that it is not all great. read more
