Updating my review, but wish I could give ZERO stars. The below customer contact never emailed me…read moreback. I asked what kind of recon work they did but apparently there's none because he had nothing to say. I've also been made aware of another scheme CW partakes in. When a new camper is delivered to the dealership, they are paid for repairs made and the camper is prepped in "ready for sale" mode which they are reimbursed for by the manufacturer. They then are charging the buyer AGAIN for those prep fees on the back end. This is how they are able to advertise campers for lower prices, but then justify increasing the price at the last minute to rope in the customer at the last minute either without them knowing or when they feel it's too late to back out. JUST RUN. Do your research. Camping world is shade AF. They are now partnering up with Forest River dealerships and buying out others such as Lazydays. Try to stick to smaller mom/pop shops. They are going to more honest, most r experienced with repairs, and going to try to keep you as a customer. We ended up buying private sale and used an online company for a loan which was so easy with no slick sales pitches or price hikes. Again, please see CAMPING WORLD SUCKS on Facebook. There's lots of good info on there of others' experiences that I wish we would have know before wasting our time.

Purchased a 5th Wheel RV from them in early 2021, after a very brief walk through, I pulled this…read moreunit home only to find out that the brakes on the camper were never adjusted and did not function. After the dangerous ride home, I called them and they requested that i bring the unit back to them for repairs. That's right, pull a camper with no brakes back to Rochester with no brakes! I had a local mechanic adjust the brakes for me in my driveway. They told me that they operated everything in the unit to make sure all was functional. But the LP tanks were new/empty. I had to pay a local LP supplier to purge and fill the tanks. It was obvious to me that they did not operate most if any of the appliances prior to delivery. We had numerous failures with this unit and had slow service, along with wrong parts ordered. There was an issue with the hot water heater that they never did correct. I did contact the manufacturer (Forest River) and found out the many of my issues were never reported to them, as Universal had told me. At one point they must have gotten rid of their parts person and I was told that the slow service was due to their having to "catch up" from the back log she created. I finally got an email from the manager, he was less that kind or helpful. I traded off the unit for a far superior unit from another dealer. I personally would avoid Universal Marine and Forest River RV, Poor Quality, Poor Customer Service. but Excellent frustration. I waited over a year to write this review because if I would have written this back then, I would most likely have said things that were driven my emotion not plain facts.

I contacted Jason the manager and he said to bring it in. It took a day to have the work done but could have been longer. We were so happy with there service and would highly recommend them.

I purchased a 23b 2026 Winnebago Ekko from Lichtsinn in August, 2025…read more There are pros and a couple cons to share. PROS - Lichtsinn's volume of online instructional videos was helpful before the purchase and afterwards.  I flew in to Minneapolis, the pickup and drive down to Lichtsinn worked great The RV itself has been all I hoped for and more The orientation process Lichtsinn providing a loaner vehicle  The service and parts department.  I have called about 5 times over the 1st 6 months with questions and they have all been answered professionally. Some of the names I recall of people who have been very helpful:  Justin, Hannah, Cade, Stacy, Jeremy (sorry I'm not remembering everyone's names). CONS - Primarily related to the salesman I was randomly given when I first sent an email inquiry about available stock. When I brought up the idea of a 3rd party inspector (which I paid for) reviewing the vehicle before I flew in, the initial response was Reed tried to talk me out of it. When I flew in to purchase the vehicle there were a couple of items not completed from the inspection.  It appeared that Reed hadn't reviewed the inspection items.  He then tried to blame the service department. Two weeks ago I had an issue with my steps malfunctioning while I was traveling out of the country.  I called Lichtsinn towards the end of the day.  The operator forwarded me to Reed.  Reed said he would try to get someone from service.  The phone was placed on hold for 10 minutes and then finally went dead.  I called him back and left a voicemail for him.  I then called back again and Hannah (I believe she is in Accounting) was super helpful and tried to help.  I still haven't heard from Reed. For the most part Lichtsinn was reputable.  After the most recent incident it was appropriate to leave this feedback.  If you have a choice on salesperson, I would consider this. Thank you.   Steve H.

Jason, You have totally missed the point. If your team claims that they "completed a…read morecomprehensive pre-delivery inspection and detailing process", they lied. If your team had inspected and detailed the RV, that you were paid $5,000 in advance to do, why was the damage to the refrigerator door the first thing we saw upon entering the RV? (We will remind you that we had to push to have your people replace the door rather than your usual method of putting it off till we got home to have our local dealer fix it.) Why was the RV sitting on the lot dirty? Why was the window behind the driver seat smeared and we had to ask to have somebody come and clean it? Why is the center running light lens above the cab missing, but there is still electrical tape still stuck to the coach? Why are there scratches in the windscreen that look like something was dropped and scrapped across it? The list goes on. The dedicated 2 1/2 hours "delivery appointment and orientation" is a learning experience for new owners to learn how to operate the RV. It is not a session for new owners to be checking for damage. You conveniently do not allow any time for owners to do that as you are to busy trying to get paid and send your customers down the road. With regards to your comment about the 22 days before informing you of the damage, we were on the road during that time, traveling to Vermont and then back to Oregon. This is just a lame excuse for denying responsibility. Nobody was going to fix the windscreen while we were traveling, so there was no point in making an issue of it at that time. Your staff all knew that we were going to be on the road during that time. Again, this should have been detected during the pre-delivery detailing and inspection and long before we even got there. If you seriously want to "provide an exceptional ownership experience" and are truly "committed to assisting you in any way you can moving forward", you can send us a check for the glass windscreen that we are having replaced tomorrow (Tuesday 8/4/2026).
